[Q] Display is draining battery

any of you guys having problem with serious battery draining issue?
sometimes when i check my battery usage, it shows display is eating up most of my battery juice, it can go up as high as 80%!
I've always set my brightness to the dimmest, off auto-brightness, Standard screen mode
I even try to reboot my phone and the display is still draining my battery
Display is not draining your battery. Time up after a reboot/unplug from charger is the base for all those info.
In your case, up time is about 10 minutes. 58% display means your screen was on for about 6 minutes.
Reboot your phone before you sleep, and let the phone sleep. Next day, check how much is Display using. It will be very less.
It's a big screen...
Big screens use a lot of power...
I don't think there's anything to worry about here, got the same stuff going on.

[Q]Battery use shows 74% screen

And I don't even view anything in 3D, on leedroid, and music and stuff drains the battery quick
Normal?
People often get confused by battery use percentages... It took me a while too, but maybe this can help...
Say you're sitting at 90% left of your battery... that means 10% was drained. Looking at battery use only refers to that 10%, not the whole 100%.
So... if the screen reads 74% and your battery is sitting at 90%, what it is telling you is 74% OF the 10% used was from the screen.
And no matter what, any phone or tablet's screen is going to use the majority of the battery unless it's e-ink (even then it's a good possibility). I wouldn't stress to much about it. You can reduce this by using autobrightness or lowering the brightness than it is.
If you're frustrated with the battery in general, turn off best wifi performance and turn off always on data.
Also, leedroid has a terrible battery life.

Battery Life

So obviously the screen is the biggest drainer of battery life, but I just want to make sure my stats are in line with others.
I've been running a couple of quick battery tests on CleanRom 4.5, and basically, if I have the screen brightness up all the way without any sleep, I average roughly 1% battery drain / 1 minute (it's actually .8% battery drain but 1/1 ratio looks better). I've done a test with 4G and 3G and they're both about the same if screen is all the way up. With screen all the way down and Wi-fi I can get 30 minutes of Netflix with only 8% battery drain. Is this what I should be getting?

Screen hover battery life

guys
does the screen hover feature being turned on affects battery life?

Screen off/Battery Life issue

I've found a potential issue with my phone, and wanted to see if anybody else can duplicate the problem.
My settings/environment are 4G LTE with 4 bar signal strength, full time display off, Bluetooth on. Stock ROM, using Google home launcher.
If the screen auto brightness control is off, and brightness set at 100%, the battery life is atrocious when the screen is turned off and the phone is in my pocket (drains about .5% per minute). Phone gets really hot in the pocket after only a few minutes.
If the screen auto brightness control is off, and brightness set at 99% or less, the battery sleep life is fine/normal. Phone is cool to touch.
If screen auto brightness control is on, the battery sleep life is fine/normal. Phone is cool to touch.
I have this same issue where my phone is getting super hot when in my pocket. drain on battery is crazy bad. this only started yesterday after the update.
I do have the always on screen thing.
my brightness was set to 75%
I am now having to charge after only 8 hrs of use
