No working wifi ... :( - Remix OS for PC

I installed remix os on my laptop lenovo g50-80
and the wifi is not working ..
when i turn on the wifi from toggele button it keep searching .
and can't find any network or can't connect to a open network .
and after that when i closed the setting it automatically turn the wifi off.
it is a bug or driver proble i don't know but it is annoying and frustuating.
please help.

I have a different problem but related to wifi i am using tp link wifi usb to connect my pc to wifi router but on remix i am unable to get wifi signals i think issue lies in missing driver so is there anyway to add drivers

According to Google, your Lenovo should have a Intel DualBand Wireless AC 3160. Intel wireless cards should be supported out of the box. Can you tell if you have this wifi card?

does anyone got a solution for reverse tethering ?
i had a htc wildfire S and it has an option "Relais internet" it appears auto when usb cable connected. it connects my phone to computers internet.
Iam really so disappointed to don't see this feature on SGS2
and PLZZZZZZZZZ for people who ask why don't use wifi.
well I have a 3G connexion in my computer ( no rooter just a usb 3G network adapter). and my computer wireless card intel 4965AGN IT DOESNT SUPPORT hosted network which means no way to create a wifi hotspot (or use connectify or virtual rooter because its the same thing as creating a hosted network)
ad-hoc network can't be detected also with my sgs2 with official firmware JB 4.1.2 (XWLSD)
could anyone help please.
Thank you

Well there was a "reverse tether" app...
I had it but haven't tried it anytime coz I don't have internet on my PC anymore...so don't know for sure if it works..
It might just work for you...
I know this is very frustrating..has happened to me too when I had just purchased the phone...hadn't got any solution at that time so ended up purchasing a WiFi router..
Press thanx if I helped...

Try this thread (don't know if this works on SGS2 or not as I've never tried/needed it, but it's a good starting point for you to investigate further).

[Solved]No internet by connecting through Virtual Wifi (Seven)

Hi!
Today I received my brand new Galaxy S III and very happy with it
I'm just facing a little problem:
I have a laptop connected to the Internet through ethernet and my HTC Desire connects through my laptop wifi card to get internet access.
(for example, see here : http://www.technospot.net/blogs/how-to-enable-windows-7-virtual-wifi/)
The problem is that with the Galaxy S III it's not working...
I can connect it to my laptop wifi but it doesn't get any Internet connection...
Has anyone faced this problem too?
The strange thing is that I connect my Galaxy S III to "real" Wifi access point...
Any help is great
Thanks!
see you!
it's kown issue, you can serch ""wifi" in this forum, but it's not solved.

Actually, I "fixed" the issue by updating my wifi drivers. I don't know what changer becauseI thought it was an issue related to the phone since the Desire could connect.
Now both phones can connect so that's great
Bye!
Can you please give more information about how to update wifi drivers?
I am having similar problem here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1846850

Try setting up the network manually
my solution is about the wifi range and disconnecting problem and not connecting after waking up from sleep ect

there are two versions in the Play store.
1. Android Speed Booster (free)
2. Android SpeedUp Booster (free)
Which one exactly?
I've tried both and not notice any difference. didnt enhance my wifi range or reception either. Also, my antivirus detected it as security threat. Any idea?
My WiFi always dc whenever I let me screen off for a few minutes ....even if I chose WiFi always option in advance settings

Ditto. Its the only app that works at the moment. It keeps your wifi awake even when the screen is off. I've been using it for a couple of months now on my Sony Tablet S.
However, no app yet is able to remedy the weak signal and its difficulty in retaining wifi signal. A lot of bogus and placebo aps available in the playstore. Do share if you guys found any that may help our sony tablets.
I only have wifi issues with this new netgear wifi router we got at the office... wifi lock works great but doesn't force a connection and the app in the op works sometimes but not always.... I'm VERY disappointed in this tablet because of the wifi issues and got it when it was first released. I called sony support three or four times but those guys are truly a joke and are in denial that this tablet has wifi issues.
Interesting. I had replied to someone in another thread that I started seeing a similar issue on my Tablet S after update 5, but I missed these threads with lots of users seeing this. Mine never shuts down during use, but will randomly shutdown while asleep. I've not seen any correspondence between times it does it (sometimes midnight, sometimes 8am) or amount of time asleep or battery charge level. I'll try this app and see if it helps.

Hi guys,
Maybe some of you faced the same problem and can advise me something. I have a Linksys router and my Tablet S and my mothers X10i can connect to it only once, then it will be Connecting... Disconnected. And just shows available networks. Yeah, I know it might be a router problem, but how come my Xperia S, ThinkPad Tablet or any other PC or old Nokia and iPhone phones never had these issues? The workaround is to restart the router, it helps only once, after I will disconnect it will never connect again until next routers' restart.
Sony will never admit this issue. Ok, so what can I do? Different Wi-Fi drivers?

wifi problem please help.....!!!!!

I had the same issue yesterday, after several tests on other devices I was convinced it was a com error between phone and AP. Restart AP solved the issue.

Yes it is possible to use android phone as wifi repeater

I m having problems with my wifi Signal connection at home.. so i searched lots of blogs and sites, that is it possible to use android phone as wifi repeater, the answer is no..
SO today, a strange thing happened.. :silly:
I connected my MICROMAX A25 to wifi (main router network)...
after connecting to wifi, i turn on the portable hotspot and the wifi does not turn off (whether in other android phones wifi automitically turns off when the portable hotsport is on) my phone starts sharing my main wifi network (DATA CONNECTION IS OFF at that time)
My problem is solved and saved some bucks, while i m gng to buy a Repeater tomorrow..
But sadly this process is not working on other phones, but this process can be used on all by little bit tweaking or hacking...
Plz developers made it possible for other phones also.
For A VIDEO U can search my channel on YOUTUBE- gorkijatt
There's an app
I use fqrouter2. its available at the ply store. Works like magic.:good:
Also can use Android phone as 5G Receiver
So I use a HP laptop with a weak, pathetic 2.4GHz Ralink card. I also read about the TONS of problems people have getting around HP's BIOS whitelist - meaning if its not HP approved, you can't do a hardware upgrade yourself, or have to buy the HP (pricier) alternative. Or have to hack the BIOS.
Today out of necessity I just used my Nexus 5 to connect to a 5GHz network, then USB-tethered it to my HP. It worked like a charm! The laptop surfs. Oh yea.

Unfortunatelly works only on rooted phones
Any idea how to use cell phone as a WiFi repeater without having to ROOT the phone?
Links no longer working... please update!
That app doesn't work for me as the download links are broken. Do you have a mirror link?
