Hey guys, I just recieved several cases for the Samsung S7 from Caseology. They are leather and tpu material in construction. They feel great in the hand and are slim on the phone
Check them out.

I got a caseology TPU with the hard plastic boarder on the outside for the edge. I love the buttons compared to my Spigen tough armor case, They really nailed that button design. I like it. Also all the cutouts are super easy on the hands. By that i mean all edges are very soft. THe spigen case cutouts were cutting into my pinky and was super sharp. especially the headphone cutout.

How does the leather back feel? I really love the look of that one, and if I could get that one cheaper I would buy it in an instant.
does anyone know how does Parallax case works with edge to edge screen protectors?

Been looking around for a full edge wrap case ( one that also cover the front of the chrome edge). Came across this one. Has anyone try this?

Looks very similar to the ultra slim 0.2mm-0.3mm gel/TPU cases. You can find some searching the term TPU on the forum with some reviews and pictures posted by members.
They offer decent scratch protection.
Looks just like the Boxwave case discussed in this thread and many others.
It seems that most, if not all, the cases made of TPU offer full edge protection. All the ones I review here do
I found this one on eBay for $9.95. Posted mini review here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24535730

Speck Candy Shell cases have never done me wrong. Phones always come out looking pristine, even if the case looks like hell.
Pardon my rant...
Is it so much to ask for a leather case that does NOT have a cover? I just want a nice, simple, slim leather case that is nothing more than a case. I really don't understand why there are hundreds of leather wallet or flip cases, some look as if they even have the nice looking case I want (only attached to a cover) but I have yet to find one single nice leather case. Apple themselves sells a gorgeous and simple leather case for their devices and it irks me that I am pretty much stuck with TPU bugdroid or polycarbonate as my choices for a slim and simple case.
Anyone finding anything I haven't?

Wow, the last time I saw Noreve come up they only had the flip/wallet case and pouches available. The back case (first link in your post) is new to me, and looks... pretty damn close to what I've hoped for. Thanks for the timely reminder!
EDIT: Just did a quick dive through YouTube and am a little skeptical about how accurate the renders on the site are with respect to the thickness of the case along the edges, and specifically how disruptive the cut-out portions might be.
There's a review of the iPhone 6 back case that shows just how chunky the sides are, and if you compare it against how the same product is rendered on Noreve's website, there's a pretty huge visual difference. And in my opinion the thickness on video looks a lot less attractive.
Anyhow, it might be mitigated somewhat by the relatively larger footprint on the Nexus 6, but I kind of don't feel like dropping ~$35 to test it :\
Yeah that case looks wayy too chunky.. the case should just be a thin layer of leather glued to polycarbonate.
You can always do what @Pilz did (and I later copied him). Get yourself one of them real Horween leather back skins from @slickwraps and slap it onto a Spigen case. Pilz has photos all over this forum of how good it looks. I have two cases, one with dark leather and one with distressed tan leather (my favorite), and rock them both. Nothing better than the smell of real leather!
I bought this off ebay for 2.99. I love it. Took a few weeks to arrive though...

Thats not real leather, and the quality seems to be pretty bad. many of those photos show fibers coming out from under the ring cutout for the camera, for several different colors.
I like this leather case, been using it for a few months now, it's relatively thin:

has anyone ever found in the US what the original poster describes?
i am looking for a case that is only a back made of leather. i do not want a skin
Just letting everyone know that I ordered one of the leather cases off of Noreve. I will update when I receive it, and will post pictures.
I purchased a case from another vendor and was later contacted by Artech 21 to see if I would be interested in reviewing their cases. I agreed. I ordered the following cases from Amazon:
Mod edit: Sales link removed.
The case fits well. Not really my type of case, but for someone who wants protection without completely hiding the phone, it's a good choice.
Mod edit: Sales link removed.
This case fits well. Its also a nice looking case and provides good protection. The only drawback is that, in my opinion, the buttons are too stiff.
Mod edit: Sales link removed.
This case fits well and provides similar protection to the Dallas Lazer Series case. It looks pretty good, but in my opinion, isn't as nice looking as the Dallas Lazer Series case. The buttons work better on this case than the Dallas Lazer Series case. There was a minor finish imperfection on the "loop" at the bottom.
Mod edit: Sales link removed.
This case fits well, but is more difficult to put on the phone than the others. That's to be expected because it's very rugged. I think it would provide good protection if the phone was dropped, but I did not test it. It looks pretty good for a rugged case and isn't too bulky. It came with a glass screen protector, which is quite a bit narrower than the active area of the screen to get around the halo. I didn't install it, because I already have a screen protector, which I don't want to remove. I have yet to see a glass screen protector that covers the entire screen without a halo.
I received a $60 credit toward the purchase of all four cases. Despite that, my reviews are the same as if I had purchased them.

What's the absolute grippiest solution for this phone? Most skins don't give a lot of confidence. Egrips doesn't make something for our phone and those rings or popsockets are huge
These sandstone cases are the solution http://www.ebay.com/itm/MSVII-Slim-...hash=item33bedfb626:m:mkaiNfq5LXgpPGOyD4m0Sbg
Go to the patchworks website. I can't post the link because i don't have 10 posts but i already have a spigen neo hybrid which is slippery but i kept because i like the color. The patchworks case has a slim and just a regular case but both have special grip on the side where you hold the phone.
i just got the alcantara case and it's by far the grippiest case ive used on any phone.
You could also try a bumper as well. Adds minimal bulk (also won't hide the color of your phone) and will add some grip too. I've heard of bumpers for the iPhone, but didn't realize there were ones for Android phones as well, haha. XD Erika Griffin mentioned one when she did her S8 unboxing on her Youtube channel -- the RhinoShield CrashGuard Bumper Case. I couldn't find it on Amazon, but I included the link to their official site.

Thanks. Bumpers unfortunately are too big. They add a lot of width to the phone which is already extremely big one handed

That sucks. D: Only other thing I can think of would be to try something like the Spigen Thin Fit or Airskin cases as they're about the thinnest cases you can get.
EDIT TO ADD: Almost forgot the Spigen Liquid Air case, which of the ones I mentioned, I actually own this one. The pattern on it seems grippy, but I have to see how it feels in-hand when I get the device.

Ya I have a couple like the air skin that are super thin. Just wish there was something thin that was really grippy. Might Plasti dip a case....

it adds a lot of grip if you "squeeze" the phone, but not that much when placed on a slope.
I got this one and it seems grippy enough to me!
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XP6KZKC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The speck pseudo grip is pretty decent. Pricey though.
I bought the Spigen Slim Armor / Metal Slate case for mine and it's a nice, tight fit. Feels great in the hand. Edges have a rubberish feel to them but don't add allot of bulk. Now the trick will be in finding a screen protector that will work with. Like I said, TIGHT!
My solution was the honeycomb skin from slick wraps. I've used it on my last 2 phones.
I agree with pieman13, I got a dbrand skin for my S6. Protects the glass from stuff wedging between the case and the back and is the right grip
Double post.
Ordered the new black dragon... Let's see
shoot a load of jizz right to the back of your phone. it'll stay sticky and grippy, as a bonus no one else will want to mess with your phone.
I bought this case because it looked super thin. I know this is for the S8+ (this regular s8 forum is more active ), and it's awesome. It definitely is super thin, so it won't add much in terms of protection, but it has an amazing feel. Very grippy in the hand, and even on slanted surfaces. I love the feel it adds to the phone, and the size is perfect. The white specs are more pronounced in the pictures on Amazon than they are in person, they are still noticeable but not "sparkly" looking like they appear on the pictures online.

Ordered one to see how it comapres to my Nillkin case I just got (review up in accessories)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/accessories/best-slim-case-ive-t3597761
Holy crap, the Sandstone case posted by @peachpuff is AMAZING
Super thin and the texture is awesome.
It's even thinner than the Nillken which is hard to believe
Only issue is it DOES NOT have enough of a lip on the front to lift the screen off a flat surface if laid screen down. Not a huge detractor for me as I never have my phone screen down.
Hello guys,
I am still doing my search for an ultra-thin case with mate finish for my S8. It is something like the Peel cases for iPhone (sadly they don't care about Samsung phones).
There are some thin cases but I often don't like their glossy finish or the case is not well built.
If anyone knows a case like the Peel, please let me know

This looks closest to peel/Cali case I always use, will be purchasing this for myself , got the wife a Spigen liquid armor she needs a bit more protection
Received the elago case today in black. Cut outs are exact and fit is good, seems to be a bit of movement along the edges.
Perfect for scratch protection and a screen protector should work great with the elago.

This is CaliCase. They changed their name.
Get the elago case from Amazon. It's sooooooooooooo slim! It's .3 I believe and leaves you the flush look of the phone. Just need a decent screen protector now lol

Nope - the one negative for me. If it was, it would be perfect, but otherwise it's great
Spigen AirSkin is the best quality and closest you'll get to Peel or Caudabe.
+1 for Spigen Airskin. It is .36mm and the peel is .35mm. It is *very* thin, bordering on scratch-only protection.
Are you guys speaking from experience on the S8? The Spigen air skin doesn't fit my S8 for some reason, it's just a tad bit too narrow. Spigen was nice enough to replace it, but the new one is the same.
MNML fits perfectly and is the same ultra thin type case. It's my vote for the S8. The other benefit to the MNML case over the Spigen is, the bottom is covered on the MNML, while on the Spigen it's exposed.
I have the Spigen Air Skin on an S8 now and it fits perfectly. The bottom is exposed (except the corners) and the back cutout looks to be different (one big cutout) than the MNML (3 separate cutouts). Face down, it still sits without the front glass touching.
The Nillkin brand of cases out of china are good quality. I've owned a few version of their cases for different models of phone. If you want the slimist case that is TPU and gives some slight shock protection over not having a case, the NATURE line is awesome. I just ordered my clear S8 case from Amazon. can't go wrong with this case. I will update once it arrives.
Also, thing of note...this case has a separator for the camera and fingerprint reader. This actually helps out and functional to keep me from placing my finger on the camera. My current case has the same design as this was a feature I was looking for. Most of the cases has a large cutout on the back which I think was the cheap/fast way to release a case.

I just got this case from Amazon.
Exactly what I was looking for.
Very slim, no branding, matte black.
Maxboost Galaxy S8 Plus Case mSnap [Perfect Fit] [Black] Samsung Galaxy S8+ / S8 Plus Case Anti-Slip https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XS66SFG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_HKhbzb4MBPSPX
I got mine from a company called Bare Cases. Think they're a small company but the case felt very premium. Has a matte finishing. So far it's scratched at the back but I don't mind it cos I guess it protects my phone from those exact scratches.
The Spigen air skin didn't fit good and I just gave up with that.
