Hi. Do you have these apps working(please, see attachment ). I wonder why nothing happens when I press their icons.
So, is it a bug of Sony firmware?

Hi,
Yes they work. But i press the top of the icons not the center. I think this i a bug, the navigation bar is behind the small lite app bar

Yes they work for me on Marshmallow 6.0
Easy fix for the icons to be on top of the navbar how they should be ...
---
I had to reboot in safe mode, then start up one of the small apps, then reboot again in normal mode. It was ok after that.
To boot in safe mode, long press the power button to bring up the power off box. Long press power off and the safe mode reboot pops up.

Maybe you could try to install the framework mod I suggested, in the thread, some users reported it working on .54 rom. Don't forget to make a nandroid backup before flashing, just in case.

Hi guys,
I forgot the pin-code to my Galaxy S2, not to the sim, to the phone.
I can't go into recovery mode or download mode, due to a broken home-button.
Is there any way I can like hack the pin, or reset the phone without having to use my home button?
Maybe by using my pc or something?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Man I thought it was impossible to get into download mode but you got me there!
Unfortunately I do not see the "Clear Storage" option.
The volume down button gets me into a reboot.
Volume up gets me to downloading.
Is there any way I can get into recovery? Or download something to the phone that resets it?
And eh, multitasking, that is kind of hard with no home button.
The back button gets some more use since the home button has died haha

If you want to get yourself into recovery mode try something simpler
A cwm manager app
It has the option boot into recovery

Problem is, I cannot acces my phone so I can't install apps
I'm thinking about flashing another rom, only I can't wipe cache and factory reset before doing that.
What are the risks of that? And is there a big chance of this going wrong?

Thanks, flashing right now.
Had flashed a few hours ago, but still got asked for the pin.
Though then I had to register the phone (name, language, that stuff) and after that I was in the phone, and did not have to enter the pin.
Doing that again right now, hoping to get to settings and then get to factory reset
Thanks for your help so far.
Then another question popped up:
To get another kernel I need recovery mode right?
And to get rooted I need a rooted kernel?
So can I root my device without home button and without recovery menu?

Probably yes, but i don't use 4.1.2 any more, and you already have an option to make screenshot, press and hold at the same time the "power" and "volume down" buttons.

It seems that home button is not working
I am able to get to recovery and download mode, however after booting to rom it doesn't work. And it is not rom's problem because I had this in previous roms. Right now I am on SOKP
Any ideas how to fix it?
i dont know really but

Hi, I've searched and searched and can't find a useful answer to a simple question - how do I enter the recovery mode in Xperia 1? The usual "press the power button together with Volume down (or sometimes up)" does not work! Another suggestion I found was to restart and quickly tap Volume down (or up) when the Sony logo appears. Also does not work. I sent a message to Sony support and received a reply stating "Unfortunately there is no recovery mode in Xperia devices" (I can upload the message if anyone cares).
So, can anyone tell me how can one enter the recovery mode in Xperia 1 and confirm that you actually did it?
I've entered recovery mode , after like 5 reboot, my phone was bootlooping and i got that screen's with android and i successfully flashed the original stock rom....... that was cool but i would know too how to enter in that

You need to flash recovery first but I don't think it's working on Android 10 as of yet, Sony phones don't come with a stock recovery.

Thanks mate, I guess that's what the Sony support was trying to tell me, but in an incomprehensible manner.
Don't have Android 10 yet, wanted to wipe the cache partition before updating, but I guess I'll wait for the update to come.
