Hi all,
Looking for help rooting my BV5000 to allow me to instal Adaway. Got serious Adchoices problems, caning my data allowance and battery life. Firefox and Browser both getting routed to yokogama.net when starting up ( browser hijack ? ). Malwarebytes finds Trojan.Sivu.c in htmlv.apk, Trojan.Agent.PF in QuickSearchBox.apk and Trojan.Agent.QN in ad.apk, but it can't remove them. Could do with a 'one click' solution if poss, not very root-savvy The ones I have seen either have dubious security issues, or are not compatible with this phone. Any help / advice very much appreciated !! Many thanks.

Not sure where you picked up all that stuff
Any how You need a tool called SPFlashtool (For mediatek devices) and a custom recovery to flash SuperSu.
SPFlashtool drivers and instructions can be found HERE you should also take some time to view the many youtube tut's for how to use it.
You can get TWRP recovery and everything else from here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64951778&postcount=10
Stock and custom ROM's HERE :good:
Regards bigrammy
Use this method: http://bbs.blackview.hk/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=961
I had the same problem and once rooted only Fast Uninstall from the playstore could remove all the crap. Not even Titanium worked.
doesn't work for me

You can try Universal Androot to root this device, google for its apk, download it, transfer it to usb pen drive, use device pre-installed file manager to browse the apk and click to install it. After installation, open Androot and click root button, it will root your device.
Dear all
I bought the new gionee elife s5.5
Unfortunately it has no play store installed and adding the apk and running it after installation always results in a forced close.
Does anybody know how to root the phone? Will Vroot also work (it is supposed to work on the elife e7 which has the same custom rom, amigo 2.0, I think).
Really struggling because many dialogs are in Chinese although I set the language to english...
Btw. one chinese guy told me the phone can be rooted using a chinese application named 大师 - however I have no clue where to even start with this...

I have the same phone and the same problem. Looking into this too my friend....
Google Play Service Error
I have the same problem.
I was able to install the Play Store, yet still have problems with the Google Play Service.
I followed the Youtube instructions: ...\watch?v=R89HtH0WfuA[/url]
but then downloaded the "com.android.vending-4.4.21.apk" available on the net instead of "com.android.vending-3.1.3-signed.apk".
I also have the Chinese version of the phone.
If someone has instructions of how to remove the Chinese version and install a pure English version, i would appreciate it.
No solution I'm afraid.. Just wanted to add my request to the list. I, too have an S5.5 and would like to get an English Language ROM on this handset. Any help greatly appreciated.

Yes, I agree, Google Play would be a start. But I'm guessing that we'll need a change of ROM to get any Google services running. I've managed to download and install some apps by sideloading .apk files (Nova Launcher, Dropbox, Dolphin) but even GMail app force closes just like Google Play.
I'm also guessing that the main culprit is the Amigo UI. It's seems so deeply embedded in the ROM that only a change of same will allow normal Android operation.
I've tried a Factory Reset to see if it gives me a choice of language to load, but no luck. The only English language setting is in Input settings. Unfortunately it doesn't go very deep. For instance to confirm a change of setting or acknowledge and error the text you have to tap says 'I known'!
The S5.5 has been launched in India and I wonder what language that ROM is available in? Be nice if the Indian ROM was in English and we could get hold of one. Can anyone help with this?
I'd even put up with Amigo UI if it was in English (despite the lack of widgets... Which I miss greatly).
BTW, I've found that you can install Amazon App Store, SlideMe, GetJar , etc. App stores on the S5.5. Not as good as Google Play I know, but they do work.
I wonder if some embedded 'Great Wall' filter software on this Chinese handset is blocking certain Google apps from running. It's curious that several Google apps force close, but other, similar Android apps don't.
Also, I've seen the phone for sale on some Indian Mobile Phone Vendor websites where they say that they will install Google Play before dispatch. So it must be possible.
Try Kingroot
mine is an chinese and rooted with that i think. got it pre-rooted
Thanks XPAction. I did try Kingroot, couldn't get it to work. However, I did manage to get it rooted with something called Shuame. It's mostly in Chinese language, but I got it done. And I have managed to install most Google apps. So Google Play, Gmail, etc working OK. And I've installed Nova Launcher, so widgets are baaack! There's still some Gionee bloatware hanging around, but mostly I can ignore it.
Only problem now is that Gionee have pushed a 98mb system update at the handset, and I'm frightened to install it!
I still think the S5.5 would benefit from a stock Android custom ROM... That's what I'm looking out for.
I did the system update and playstore is not doing a forced quit any, ore. However, i always get a connection error. Anyone got it working without root?
Ive found some links to some Chinese forums with some drivers, firmware and tools
slow site

I cant post links yet
Well, the recent 100+ mb Amigo UI update wiped out root on the S5.5. However, Google stuff still seems to be working OK. Found an English (ish) version of Shuame.. Called Root Genius. So am gonna try to re-Root with that.
One thing, it installs something called Kinguser. Don't really know what this is. Seems to manage Root access like SU or Superuser. But flagged up as a 'risk' by some Android malware/virus software.
Quick update for fellow S5.5 owners: tried to root with Root Genius, wouldn't work this time. Tried Kingroot and... success! It re-rooted the handset fine. So far all OK.. Google apps functioning normally.

Elife S5.5 Google Play Store
Hi
Wanna install play store as well ... but got stuck already upon installing the Windows 7 (64Bit) drivers. There's still a remaining unknown device called "Gionee". Wehre to find the correct drivers for the S5.5? Next issue is - there is no application "kingroot". I googled a lot - no luck. Any hints where to find it? Same applies for the mentioned supersu. What is this? Where can i find it? Anyone successful by now in removing/replacing the amigo ui and the chinese stuff from the phone?

Have any of you guys found a reliable way to do this yet? Most of the links or guides I've seen on this so far seem a little be hand wavey in one way or another.
Also, you used kingo root to root it? It wouldn't work when I downloaded the apk, did you have to download it to your desktop?

Did you get it to work with google play? WHat ROM did you use, I'm unsure if I should use the GR3 (model TAG-L--) or the TIT-AL00 ROM.

Did you manage to get it working with google services?
I'm guessing the guys in this thread have either sorted the problem or no longer need the solution. However, if anyone else is in the same position, I'm just updating to let you know that I (with a lot of help from a friend) have got google play services installed and working on my phone. We used a combination of this thread which is the same process, but the device here is slightly different (TIT, not TAG) and therefore the CWM recovery file never worked on my phone. So using this thread, we were able to find the download TWRP instead (it links to another thread where you can download TWRP).
The entire process if fairly simple.
The hardest part for me was getting the bootloader code. I needed to contact Huawei consumer services (one of the European offices) and explain I needed the code. They told me I needed to contact the Chinese consumer services as that's where I bought the phone, they spoken very little English so it went nowhere fast. I contacted the same European office again and explained I cannot get the code via typing my info into the unlocker webpage, nor through the Chinese office. So they managed to get back to me after a day or so with the code (I needed to send a screenshot of the unlocker page failing to give me the code, along with the other phone info the unlocker page asks for).
Once you have that, just follow the guide for the TIT-AL00 (but with the TWRP recovery linked above). You don't need to root the device if you just want GAPPs. I have the device working with all the google apps etc, and didn't need root access.

few days back i did tried all the way to root my device n i did tried iroot, kingoroot, kingroot, oppo tools, but failed. there is no root method yet. some clowns r asking for money to root our device but they are fake with fake proofs.
i have very less hope for any development for our device bcoz of the history of oppo deveploment in xda is poor.
Seams no one would build a custom rom for oppo f3 or f3 plus
This post has not revived any positive update or solutions seams like no one cares for this model and I'm now regretting the reason I bought such a good hardware with worst software
Is there any update to this post?
no
