Whenever I leave home, and the phone disconnects from WiFi, it fails to establish a data connection, and requires a restart of the phone.
I have tried toggling the data connection and airplane mode in the hopes of resetting the connection but it fails every time. I have also turned on the aggressive transfer in developer options, but this hasn't helped either.
Any ideas?
Same here when I switched to "Prefer 3G" in settings. When switched to "Prefer LTE" everything is back to normal.

this bug should already fixed in the recent release of Dev Rom
I am now on 7.2.4.0 Stable. It's fixed.

Apologies if this has been resolved eslwhere, but I did a thorough search and I could not find the solution in similar questions asked for the exact problem I am having.
I have an HTC HD2, basic Rom 1.66.405.2 (76641)with Max Manilla, Radio version 2.06.51.07.
I have previously used Opera 9 and Opera 10 to surf the internet along with Skyfire with no problems when using the 3G connection or when connected to my home or work WiFi, until a few weeks ago. When connected through WiFi, having changed nothing on the network routers or my phone, I just cannot get to pages. The same is with the facebook app and any updates via weather or stocks/shares.
It seems that as soon as WiFi is connected there is no data connection.
I have checked data connection and it is OK, I have also tried the slider the best as suggested on another forum, even re-installing Opera 10, to no avail.
I am considering switching to Energy Max Sense at the moment but hesitating as I can't bear going through another hard reset and re-installing everything, but this issue might just force me down that route.
Any thoughts before being forced down this route?
Been through lots of different settings and basically it appears that once wifi is connected I lose all data connecions, nothing then connects.....Please help?
Did you ever get this fixed, because I am now having the same problem.
I used to get internet data connection via wifi by first turning off data connection in comm manager, then turning on wifi. I must have screwed something up, because now I cannot get any data traffic via wifi. I can't even get data from my cell network whilst wifi is on, I have to turn it off to get my GPRS connection back. Bit frustrating, been through connection setup and delete/setup network many times to no avail. What have I done... harrumph!

Why Disconnect data connection before activating WiFi?
I leave it on, still it will get data through WiFi is available.
If you disconnect data connection, you will not get data through data connection. (while you have WiFi activated, as you switch it off)
Have you tried using both at same time? Perhaps disconnecting data connection does a "trick" so you can not get data through WiFi too and you are now experiencing expected behaviour. (And that it did before was the wrong situation.)
i tried lots of stuff, soft resetting each time, I then did a full sync and backup to my home PC (work PC has firewall and stopps internet connection).
After that I did a cache cleaner and emptied a lot of trash, it did appear to be running slow. Did another soft reset and voila in the morning it was all working.
I played around with settings, double checked everything and to the best of my knowledge nothing had changed to cause this fault, so no idea if it was a problem with synching between the two PC's, work and home, or whether the cache cleaner did the bizness. Never had the problem repeat again since.
Have you tried getting settings from your provider again maybe something got wiped by accident.

It did indeed, thanks.
I am having a problem with my Wifi.
When I try to connect to a wifi network, and the first time it connects fine, and stays connected.
But if I leave, or disconnect, then it won't re-connect ever again. It spends about 2 minutes searching/connecting and then I get an error message saying:
"Attention
Network Disabled. Poor Connection
cancel retry forget"
I have tried rebooting, wiping the cache, forgetting all my wifi connections, turning on/off airplane mode.
[Edit] I have 3 wifi routers at my office and the problem has happened with all 3.
I think I've tried everything except a factory reset.
anyone else having the same problem or a solution?

I have the same problem. I've only seen it work once.
Rooted stock ROM Verizon I605 running 4.1.2.
I was in Korea for the past 6 months and just got back the other day. Before I left, I never had any problems, but since returning, my wifi and data are on at the same time, and it's causing me problems. Here's what's going on:
If I just have mobile data on, everything works as it should. If I turn on Wifi, it will connect, but the data connection will also remain, and my internet speeds will become spotty. If I turn on mobile data and just try to use wifi, the Wifi icon appears (with the orange/green arrows indicating activity), but apps don't connect. Facebook automatically tells me "No Internet connection," Opera won't load pages, Google Talk can't sign in, etc. If I turn mobile data back on, things work again, albeit slowly.
The strange thing is if I turn on Airplane Mode and then turn it off, leaving data off, my wifi will work 100% normally. If I try to turn on mobile data again, I get the same issue.
While I was away, I replaced the SIM card so I could use my phone over there. I messed with some APN stuff thinking I would be able to get data on my phone in Korea, but that didn't work out so I returned my APN settings to default. I have a feeling that's the source of my problems, but I have no idea how to fix it. I tried restoring my APN settings to default through the settings, but that didn't fix it either.
Any help at all would be appreciated!
If it helps I have been seeing the same thing. I'm on CleanRom 3.5 (Verizon Rom base) and PB&J kernel. It seems to be hunting between them even when in strong wifi signal.
Interestingly enough it's not doing it right now.
I'll keep a closer eye on it now.

In my case, it's a constant problem (unless I manually go into airplane mode, like explained). It doesn't work sometimes and not work other times.
I'm trying to use wifi at home, so signal strength isn't an issue either.
My wife has a stock G3 and for months we've exceeded our data allocation because her phone will automatically and seemingly randomly switch to mobile data even though WiFi is turned on and she's home. Turning off WiFi and back on again will show that our home WiFi network is saved, but won't connect. Turning on airplane mode and back off again will get the WiFi to reconnect, but that's not something my wife will remember to check and these data overages are getting ridiculous. Is this a known bug, or should we try to get a replacement device?

Maybe check your apps? Some apps ask for permission to turn on and off Wi-Fi to save battery or when your phone percentage goes down to a certain level. Of not that, then get a replacement. This doesn't happen to me

Did she accidentally save any other networks nearby or have you connected to them? I had a low signal WiFi saved at my house. I had to forget the network because it kept trying to switch networks, then dropping completely. When I only had the primary network saved, it suddenly was a strong and stable connection.
I noticed with other devices that they will drop connection when searching for networks and there are too many nearby open networks too.
If I go into developer settings and switch off Mobile data always active (in an attempt to save a little power when the phone is on Wifi), I find the phone often doesn't enable data when I leave Wifi. I have to cycle airplane mode to make it do it.
Anyone else finding the same bug? Or even using this setting?
I've had dropped connection issues since day 1, with airplane mode being the only way to restore my connection. And this was with Mobile Data always active set to on.
Who is your Carrier??
Have you noticed similar issues even with mobile data always active?
When I go to building with no cellular and come back outside. The phone doesn't automatically reconnect to cellular, leaving me with no service. What a strange bug.

EE in the UK. Works fine almost all the time so far if I keep mobile data active.
Vodafone Romania, toggled the setting off in dev options as soon as I got the phone. Data switching works fine still.
Try going into the testing menu (dialer code *#*#4636#*#*), select phone information, select 3dot menu on top right corner, try switching around between Europe and automatic. I'm my case ,selecting Europe presented various weird connection issues , biggest of which was that the phone refused to connect to LTE unless I used "automatic".
