So I've been trying to get the marshmallow update all day but every time I check for an update, it always comes back with Your LG VS990 is up to date. No update is necessary at this time. Anyone might know why or some way to fix it?

I've got a US Prime and I live in the UK but I still haven't gotten the latest firmware update OTA. I can't check manually either as the check update button is greyed out. I got the first ICS update fine on release day (11th?) but I haven't gotten an update since. I want to be able to restore my root after updating which has ruled out doing it manually. It's annoying me more than it probably should to be honest .
Just took a look at my phone and a system update is downloading - says it's 526.6mb. It was already 50%+ done by the time I took a look. Anyone know what it's about?
Was able to get into the "Learn more" part and it's updating the version to VS99023A. Supposedly provides improved WiFi calling performance and a clarification to the USB connection pop-up when the phone is charging.

No clue, got the same thing. Didn't think N was available, so may be 6.1

It is unlocking your boot loader and removing bloatware.
Tried to update...it errored out.
I had root, then restored to update to Marshmallow. My status is still listed as "modified" is there anyway to fix that so I can take this update?

I reflashed the 22A with LGUp with Refurbish mode. Then updated. Was good to get a fresh start, I guess....

I've never been rooted. And have tried the update numerous time and get an error every time. Any one know what's going on?
I am quite new to this so please be patient.
I flashed my unlocked (previous Vodafone) LG G5 with the official OPEN firmware a week ago. Since then I have had a notification on LG BRIDGE to tell me that a new update (H85020a) is available but whenever I tried to complete the update, I get an error to say the update cannot be downloaded. I have tinkered with LGUP before so downloaded and tried flashing but came to the Error 0x2000 every time. The update isn't available whenever I check for OTA.
My questions are: even though I have the official OPEN firmware now, are my updates still dependent on the previous carrier's release?
Have I messed up the update process somehow by flashing in the first place? Making LG BRIDGE unable to complete the update?
Any solutions for the LGUP error code out there?
I have the same problem with LG Bridge. I got the official EE OTA update today.
Hopefully Vodafone won't be far behind if you go back to that.
However, if you've flashed an open firmware you should get update directly from LG and they'll be faster than carrier pushed ones.

i used Update.zip to update to QK2 to try oreo
but after i updated to QK2, i read about bugs so i decide not to update to oreo beta.
since then, i tried to change firm wear using odin to QJA, QLA, BRA8 BRA9
all failed.
i don't care if i wipe out the data, i just want to get out of this QK2 to normal Tmo firmware to update my phone.
also, i dont' wanna root the phone due to samsung pay...
if i have to update to oreo and come back that's fine too.
i just need the correct direction to get out of this current (QK2) firm.
please, anyone help me.

i finally figured out why it was failing. it was usb 3
i tried on usb2, now i could odin to BRA 8 but now the Phone is stuck at "encrypted for security password"
anyone know the solution from here?

Sorry, I don't know the solution. But just wanted to ask What bugs in Oreo did you read about that you didn't like? I'm currently using the latest and I haven't run into any problems.

Factory reset is your only option I'm afraid
I update my device. To the u1 firmware to get rid of vzw crap still getting Ota updates unluckily is there a way to stop this after a few days they force the update on you and you can't postpone it anymore I'd like to wait for the next u1 update
