No, stock recovery will be fine. What to do is hold power, home button and volume up together till you get the Samsung logo. Once you've got that IMMEDIATELY remove the battery followed by putting it back in within 5 seconds. Your phone will boot into Advanced Recovery Mode (which is a mode of recovery all stock Samsung's have since the S3 builds). When you're in A.R.M, go to Settings > Flash compressed update file > And then use the up and down volume buttons to locate your file. I'd recommend saving it under ROOT>UPDATES (create the folder if you don't currently have it).
None of the above is valid, you will need a custom recovery and presumably root access to flash but it's otherwise a very easy process.

Hi,
I installed the new CWM and have the blue screen problem.
What's worse is that i have ROM Manager set to install zip from card, so now when i boot i always get the blue screen and can't get my OS back.
I tried putting it in Download Mode, but my PC never recognizes it (Windows 8.1 x64), so i can't even flash anything.
What could i do?
Thanks in advance

Hi You could tryCWM5
and then flash the new CWM Also make sure that you're on a cm10.1+ rom when flashing the new cwm.
If you can't get you PC to recognize it try using windows 7.Also does your phone boot.
You can always press thanks button

I had CWM 5 and updated to CWM 6 with it. I was on 10.x (Maclaw) BTW.
I'll try Windows 7 when i have time. My phone boots but goes to CWM everytime.
There already is a general thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2503380 no need to create a second one.

Hi. This might sound silly but I also had your problem on the same OS.
I solved it by using a different USB port while in download mode.
Try that because that was my problem why Odin was not recognising my mobile.
Regards
Indeed, on Windows 7 it works.
However now i don't know how to revert (or fix that blue screen, i wanted to try 4.4)
Can you flash CWM with Odin?
Well this is the right way to get new recovery working
First get CWM5
Flash latest cm10.2 from androidarnv6
Then Flash new recovery CWM 6.0.4.X
This won't give you blue screen
This worked with me

Mod Edit: Link removed.
I already have Lin 17.1 installed, so all I did was download the file and flashed it Odin. Didn't bother with anything else. Worked fine. Now I just need to know what all of the new features do. For instance, what can I safely uninstall with the apps feature?
Advanced feature are not working for now because for activate it was necessary flash the rom by twrp. This actually is not possibile because, the source code of twrp of T510 on github, has an issue. In fact if you try flash the zip of this recovery with TWRP you will have stuck at digest verification, same if you try to reflash with the same Batik recovery.
