Hi,
kam looking for a module that makes multiwindow split view Mike the aosp Rom for the Galaxy S4.
So you can take the apps from taskmanager to show in splitview.
THX for help
xhalo floating window xposed module is best tool for multitasking. search on xposed section.
Sent from my XT1033 using Tapatalk.
I know it, but i must put the apps in a list.
So in the Rom i can put put the apps to splitview Form taskmanager
Apps use current orientation.
Annoyed apps changing current screen orientation? Try this module!
If you are using in landscape, some apps force orientation to portrait. So you have to rotate you device to use this app which is a bad user experience. With this module these apps don't change anymore the screen orientation and you could use it in current orientation. An example of such an app is System app remover
There are 2 apps with same effect, but
HaveOwnOrientation (free): This app has no user interface. Enable it in Xposed - reboot - done.
OwnOrientation (donate): User interface for simple configuring, logging etc
IMPORTANT
Xposed needs root access for installation

Play Store OwnOrientation (donate): http://tinyurl.com/lj52cp6
Play Store HaveOwnOrientation (free): http://tinyurl.com/kl865jr
Xposed Repository HaveOwnOrientation (free): http://tinyurl.com/lryg5dn
APK download HaveOwnOrientation (free): http://tinyurl.com/mzert7f
Why these apps? To lazy to rotate the device!
Thanks, testing the module
Thanks, I can confirm that it is working flawlessly on Galaxy Note 10.1, I just tested it with the Instagram:good::good:
defim can you add a blacklist in future updates??

scrolling problem with calc+ powerful calculator in landscape mode. otherwise worked with most of the apps in landscape mode.
@faizan.rupani: Maybe the app checks the current location and sets it again if it is not as desired. Can you post a link to the app?
@flexxoo: User interface is not planned so far. If you want to have an app in other orientation, just turn device - if automatic orientation is enabled.
Excellent! Well done @defim - at long last I can open Sky+ app in portrait mode
On my Galaxy S2, S3 and S4... all international variants this module reverses the camera and locks it in both portrait and landscape.

Second that, this module is must have but makes camera almost unusable (tried this on my Note 3)
+1 for application settings for blacklist
Hello, I tried the module and it works, but when I rotate the screen potrait mode on apps that are supposed to be used in landscape mode only the screen just goes black. It would be wonderful to be able to fine tune the module for each indivudual app like "Ultimate Rotation Control" does
Makes my screen camera screen black so I can't see what I'm taking pictures of lol HTC one m8 I know its been said and its probably noted just wanted to tell ya but great module been looking for something like this for awhile now
Hi! Tried the module. This modules solves my problem with the game called:
School Idol Festival both, English and Japanese Versions.
but when I launch the app while in portrait, then i rotated to landscape, it scales with the same size as in portrait having only 1/4 on the screen
what i mean is that when i launch the app, it retains it's size and doesnt rescale with the current orientation.
just an opinion maybe you could also add a blacklist or sort . just an opinion.
Good Job anyways
Okay okay, rudimentary block list added, no time atm for full gui. Just place package names in the file of apps which should not be blocked.
If you dont know the package name
- open Play Store in webbrowser, the ?id= part of the ur is the app
- or enable debug in the module, it shows all package names in xposed log
- or search in the created blockfile the app, but there are no new installed apps added
failed to work

If Xposed is system or not should not matter - but could cause other problems, dont know excatly.
If you open the module it "opens" a text file with you default app. Maybe you have set one earlier as default which does nothing. This assignement could be reset in Andorid app drawer "reset defaults", or so.
You could also open the file manually: /data/data/de.defim.apk.haveownorientation/files/HaveOwnOrientation.txt

Your Xposed is working at all? Which Android version does you have?
Does the module load? Could be see in the xposd log
You could enable the "debug" in the config file and have more messages in the xposed log after reboot
does it do the same thing as this thread?

I was about to say this haha
how this mod is different from THIS
This is just different in one thing, not scrolling to down like Statusbar Scroll to Top
Does this classify as plagiarism?
Its funny when you think about it... iOS has this by default since forever, xD
But really cool framework
No more infinit scrolling to the top
Well... Don't think it was copied work as the developer didn't do his research it seems like...

But is it better than the older module we have? Because that one works really well, but not on all lists, and if there are a lot of images and stuff it lags a bit. Maybe this one uses a different method?
Does this one work with Chrome?
Guys, the xmod is open source by @MohammadAG: https://github.com/MohammadAG/Xposed-StatusBar-Scroll-To-Top | So this is not plagiarism (I think.), @wissam.az1 just improve. I confess that i've never used original xmod.
Not working on my htc one m8 with lollipop
@stevedensmore yes it works with all apps now just update to the latest version follow the instructions and it will work
dear @wissam.az1
new build did worked perfectly
but after some time it is not responding at all, on every app
Ya, this mod doesn't work on my Lollipop Samsung S5.
Not working on all apps. Googleplay, chrome, ucbrowser...
Uninstaled and installed again and nothing. Don't asking for supersu permission too.

Hi!
This is a very simple module: it forces all apps to use the 3 dots menu. I've created this because on CyanogenMod, for some reason, when i remap my menu button not all apps use the 3 dots menu. Some apps, like Titanium Backup, don't show any button at all, so i can't use the menu.
This module force that apps to show always the 3 dots menu, or a button to access it (Titanium shows an entire 'MENU' button).
No interface, just install and activate it.
Download link: http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.robertogl.yesmenubutton
Source: https://github.com/robertoglxda/Force-3-dots-menu
Tested on Cyanogen 5.1.1.
Changelog:
18/08/2015
V1.0
- Initial release
P.S. This is not a problem of all devices, so use this only if you need it.
P.S.2 I've looked inside MenuBeGone for this code (another Xposed module). Thanks to @adi1133 for that!
Just a quick suggestion for future development: you could work on adding a simple interface and let users toggle between force 3 dots and hide it
Either way keep up your good work with Xposed modules :highfive:

Well, thanks
I don't know if that is possible: I mean, if you want to disable the 3 dots you can disable the module, but the hook I've done is performed during the boot (at least, I think) of the phone, so an option like that won't work with a system turned on. A possibility is to create a list of app for which the users want the 3 dots menu, but I don't have time to look at it at the moment...

What I meant was to let users choose if they want 3 dots always on (like it's now) or always off, both on a system wide basis
It could be a fair module improvement for its future if you'll have time, just my two cents
(I'm just speculating, no clue about what's possible, not really into Xposed development [emoji14] :angel

This would be easy, but the same result can be achieved disabling the module from Xposed Installer. I really appreciate the suggestions, but for now i think i'll keep the module as it is. Less code, less problems
Also, it is not useful to enable a module that does nothing. It would not be a problem, but it would not be nice
Update first post with github's link with source.
Not working
Unfortunately it doesn't work an a Sony Xperia Z3 dual (D6633) running Xperia/AOSP NavBar Buttons

Back moved to the right side, recent apps the other way.
No idea why.

This module is interesting to me because I'm a Nexus Player user. As discussed in other threads such as http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-player/help/3-dots-menu-t3067105 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/nex...sed-supports-android-5-0-x86-devices-t3146150, Google removed the 3-dots menu from Android TV devices as of Android v5.1 and higher. It is a very frustrating change that adversely affects multiple apps and your kind of module is what I was hoping to see as a possible solution. I just installed and enabled your module, then rebooted the device but I'm disappointed to report that this module does not yet restore the 3-dots menu on apps that are installed on the Nexus Player. Some examples of affected apps are AdAway, Xposed Installed and ZArchiver. The Xposed log does not indicate any errors with your module but I'd be happy to do any testing that may be needed to get this module working on the Nexus Player. I cannot overstate how helpful it would be if you could restore this critical feature to many apps that are limited in functionality by Android v5.1 and higher on Android TV devices.
Nope, because that isn't an option anyway.
I mean, I prefer NavBar over this. So probably it's a NavBar failure.

It's not an option, but the method this module hooks is here from android 4.x (maybe also 2.3), and it is the same on 5.x, so it should work. I don't know what NavBar does, so I can't say that there isn't an incompatibility. Or maybe Sony has changed a lot that...

Hello, Roberto, and thanks for the reply. I did inquire about this matter with the developer of GravityBox, @C3C076, not too long ago. What he suggested was for me to try the "force overflow menu button" option found in his app's miscellaneous tweaks menu. It did not work, unfortunately, but he did state that the feature was carried over from Android 4.x and was not tested on Lollipop. I don't know if you happen to live in a country where the Nexus Player is sold but if you require the hardware in order to develop for it, this STB can be purchased for less than $100 USD at a retailer such as Walmart.

Here's a screenshot which contains a recent Xposed log from my Nexus Player. The reason why I cannot copy-and-paste the text is because the 3 dot menu which provides the "Save to SD card" option is missing.

Could you please try the apk attached? Also, post the Xposed log after installing this.
Okay, I installed the test1 version and rebooted my Nexus Player. The 3 dot menu is still not restored but there's a lengthy Xposed log this time. There's currently no way of saving the log file as a document or copying-and-pasting the text inside of it so I had to take screenshots of the entire log (page by page) which required 49 screenshots in total. If you extract the contents of the two zip files in to one directory, you'll see that the PNG files are named in sequence with their date and time stamps. I hope this helps.

What are some cool apps for root? Or maybe some apps that add features that you'd think might require root.
Here's what I've got:
Pixel Filter - turn off pixels to save battery or to dim the display beyond stock limits.
Swipe Navigation - disable the nav bar to save screen space then swipe instead.
Simple Reboot - stock ROM doesn't include a reboot menu.
Root explorer - The original root file explorer, still maintained. This is some OG ****. 10/10.

ROM Toolbox from my signature, it has half of the tools you posted built into one, plus a automated script executer, terminal, app manager and much much more. I have linked the lite version but I highly recommend the pro version. I'm pretty sure the lite version has all the features though.
LMT Launcher - Best pie controls out there, I actually prefer this to PA pie control.
Viper4Android - unmatched audio control, better than DSP manager or Music FX. Any audiophiles best friend, can makes you're 128 mp3s sound almost like FLAC. (link is to a zip I made for n6p partially using zipme, you may or may not have to delete the audio_effects.conf from vendor, I did not, some do for an unknown reason)
ES File Manager - incredible root file manager with built in cleaner like CCleaner but for Android, with a sweet downloadable Holo theme.
Then of course BBS, titanium backup etc.
The next few are xposed modules I always run on my devices
Flat Style Bar Indicator - allows you to completely theme your statusbar except the notification icons(includes clock, signal, etc.
Amplify - Control your wakelocks! Need I say more? Lame app killing your battery? Easily fixable
GravityBox[MM] - all in one toolbox for customizing your phone! Only recommend for stock or AOSP roms however I usually run it with only one or two features I find crucial on any ROM.

How do you feel LMT compares to similar launchers? I just started dabbing into these pie launchers and never felt so undecided. I'm currently using force touch detector.
Does anyone else get an error when using ES File Explorer and trying to enable root? I get a message "sorry test failed" and it won't acquire root privileges.

IMHO its the king, I haven't tried others from the play store or whatever but compared to built in pie in roms lmt launcher is miles ahead, you can also configure gesture anywhere with it. I have attached below a screenshot of my pie. I've added a kill app shortcut to second layer, now on tap, and a camera shortcut.
Root call blocker pro.
I own a small business and don't have a full time office person (I work in the field). I get so many solicitation calls it's unreal. I have a call blacklist of about 400 numbers
Here's what I use that needs root:
AdAway - Full phone adblocker, uses host files to block and redirect ads. Not available from the play store but is available on Fdroid.
Viper4Android - Already explained in previous posts. I can't live without this one.
Naptime - Allows you to control the Doze settings, including aggressive doze.
/system/app mover - Allows you to add and remove system apps, I like to use this to make Viper4Android a system app so it can't be killed. Be cautious when using this app, if you're not smart you will cause issues with your phone.
Material Terminal - This has many functions for advanced users. I use it to execute scripts for the custom kernel I run.
Root Explorer (Paid) - IMHO the BEST root file explorer around.
Titanium Backup PRO - Everyone should have at least the free version of this on their phone. The paid version allows automatic restore of apps so you don't have to install each one manually. Plus many other features.
Better Battery Stats - This is a great app for troubleshooting battery and wakelock issues.
BatteryCalibration - I use this every couple of months especially if I've been crack flashing ROMs. It deletes old battery data and creates a fresh file.
Some really good suggestions, trying out swipe navigation [root]. Have to get used to swiping up, I like having actual full real estate for the phone.
Adaway - Dreaded ads, can't beat this app. Always one of the first apps I install when rooting my previous phones.
Viper4Android - Great app, can't stand stock audio controls.
Root explorer pro - As mentioned, the best root file explorer there is.
Titanium Backup Pro - I agree everyone should have some type of back up app for their apps.
MinMinguard - help block ads within apps
Youtube Adaway - I cannot do without this app, does great blocking ads within YouTube.
Greenify - Just started using this, great for helping save battery.
Youtube Background Playback - Useful when you want to lock the screen but still be able to continue playback. I have a bad habit of wanting to lock the screen when listening to songs on youtube lol.
In my opinion :
Link2sd- By far the best system app remover/maker I have used. Also is a great reboot menu provider.
Titanium Backup: Awesome back up for apps.
Root Explorer:Still the best file Explorer around.
GravityBox: Makes stock Android amazing.
Adaway is installed first on each and every flash on my devices. Second is Root Explorer followed by TiBu Pro to freeze/backup apps if necessary. Currently, I also have Amplify (haven't tweaked any settings yet, just installed and granted SU), Greenify (+donation package), V4A, Xposed (+GB), Simple Reboot and finally LiveBoot Pro so I can watch something other than the boot animation during boot. I've heard of Naptime but haven't checked it out yet. Might make that my next one to try squeezing some more time from a charge.
Pretty much what others have in order in which I install them (after flashing a new rom):
- Titanium Backup Pro
- Adaway
- Root Explorer Pro
- Viper4Android
- Battery Calibration
- Xposed Module with the following:
- MinMin Guard (Ad Blocker)
- Use USB for Marshmallow (Set MTP as default)
- XHangouts (for theming and other options in Hangouts)
- YouTube Adaway
- YouTube Background Playback
Two apps I havent seen mentioned yet:
- Secondscreen (very handy external monitor management; overscan, dpi, etc. )
- Nova Launcher (couldnt live without its doubletap2sleep gesture anymore)

Which Battery Calibration app are you referencing? On the play store there are at least 4 with the same name. I downloaded the one with the most downloads though(1 million).
and yea I agree root explorer is the best. It was one of first root apps on the OG Droid.
Solid Explorer! Holy crap! I used to be in love with es file manager and root Explorer but this manager is just miles ahead, search in the play store, it's free to try for 2 weeks and see for yourself! Definitely my new favourite.

Only if you want the DT2S feature.
Nova doesn't require root for DT2S. Use to use it all the time on my locked down note 4. It's just a gesture.
Nova needs root if you want the swipe down to show notifications function to work properly

It does for the 6p. If you choose the rootless method then you have to enter your pin code or w/e other unlocking method you have regardless of using the fingerprint sensor every time you want to use the device.
