Hello , I flashed a non-modified rom from sammobile website
for my SAMSUNG J5 (SM-J500H/DS) , after opening the phone , i can't enable wifi , i click on it and nt happens , can't make it on , tried to wipe data , factory reset , wiped cache and dalivk , still doesn't work , anyone can help pls ?

This is usually the result of an incorrect kernel, most likely from a firmware not from your carrier or region.

The thing is that I cannot decide which is the right ROM for this device so I downloaded the stock rom from sammobile for the same model. Now I cannot open the phone because the wifi refuse to turn on.
Is there a way to fix it ??
With Samsung devices, there are typically different firmware for different regions. You most likely picked the wrong one. Just try some others.

So I have a lovely white Galaxy S3, working perfectly like a charm
an Arabic keyboard and language is available "by default"
I switched a few days ago to a Blue S3 ..
The first issue was that there were no Arabic keyboard or language in the phone.
The other issue is that the internet is EXTREMELY PAINFULLY SLOW, like it's impossible for me to even open "Play" market, loading the default google page would take up 2 minutes and much worse.
So i tried looking for the same exact ROM that was installed on my white one.
found it, flashed the phone using ODIN with the new ROM.
Again there was no Arabic language, internet issue wasn't solve, a NEW issue came out which is "Messaging" app doesn't work anymore at all, whenever I launch the app, I get the "Messaging has stopped", I tried reseting to factory settings, didn't work, and it seems my friend is also suffering with the internet issue with his device
any help please ! I'm really starting to hate androids .. .
Go to CWM, wipe everything.
Then flash the ROM, Modem, CSC, Kernel, ... etc you used.
It should work, if not then either you got a defective unit (improbable) or the phone wasn't really fully wiped.

CWM = clockwork mod recovery requires root and root invalidates your warranty .
Default rom whatever came with the phone or find one for your location and network from the Stock Rom thread

Just carry out a standard factory reset no need for a CWM wipe and then flash stock rom .
Modem or CSC can be flashed separately .

i did the same but it appears i have no sales code at all to switch between .. .
so i traced the messaging issue to a point where everyone had the same issue did this
1- check your CSC by dialing *#1234#
i did the same and I got "CSC: unknown"
the solution is to flash the CSC from the official topic
i flashed now 2 packages, still getting "unknown" message, how do I tell
which CSC is for my phone ?
U need to find a career or country specific firmware so Arabic is enabled.
Search "intratech" in general forum and find your country or region firmware and flash that.
And use "Samsung galaxy s3 toolkit" to flash your rom.it's in the development forum

and just to describe what happened in case others had the same issue
I went to the official topic for the stock firmwares and since I didn't know what was my stock ROM, I kept downloading many ROMS based on where I bought my phone from "like getting all UK ROMS if you ordered your phone from there".
I kept flashing and dialing ( *#1234# ) after each flash to check my CSC, once I found a working ROM that got the CSC right, I switched the CSC region to "ARB", rebooted the phone, and it all worked
Arabic language became available + Messaging is back to normal + Internet issue seems to be solved "for now"

Hi everybody! I've got an S3 NoBrand rooted, mounting PAC rom with kernel stock (tryed also googy's kernel) and stock modem.
After installing the first coocked rom 1 month ago (the CM10.2) I found a "secondary" problem to which I have never given much importance but now I would like to solve
From the first boot with the new rom the phone marks me as there is no signal. In fact, although there is network and you connect to the Internet without any problems, the strenght signal icon remains "empty" (see picture to understand better).

I have found out that did not depend on Cyano as it lasted one day before I've changed it with the PAC but this issue has remained unresolved ..
I have already tried full wipes data,cache, devilk and cleaning then changing the kernel!
Sorry if I used a bad English but I've already asked on the Italian forum but unfortunately without success!

Trying to fix , I reset all the system and now ALL the files is gone , even the rom !
I tought about buying a sd card , download a new rom and install it. It will work ? Or my phone is totally gone ?

I'm going to guess it's something along the lines of a Galaxy S. Samsung is the only one to do RFS file format and they stopped around the S2 time period. You need to flash back to stock with the appropriate pit file too and repartition then it might not work still but reflash without the pit and repartition checked. It really does help to state what phone for a variety of reasons though so someone can provide more detailed instructions. This was due to needing to change the partition layout to MTD for CM roms. It's not CM's fault Samsung used a stupid file system that never caught on.

Sorry for my first post being a help post !
I am a long time iPhone user and i just change to android and my first android phone is Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 (SM-G7508Q)
I bought this phone from china therefore it does not have google play store nor any google service !!!
I don't live in china so i rooted the device to install google service and play store and it works (mostly) but sometime i receive a message says google service has stopped and that really annoys after time !!
So i decided to install hong kong rom which allows google service automaticaly !!
I have downloaded 3 different firmware BUT !!!
when I try to flash them using odin I always receive the same error message !!!
volume size is too big odin invalid ext4 image !!!
I figured that the firmware size is really too big all of them are around 1,8 GB so downloaded a smaller size firmware which was 1,5 GB and the installation was successful (that firmware was also chinese one so no google service )
I really need to install one of the hong kong firmware but they are all big sizes !!
Is there anyone have any idea to how to solve that issue ??

Well i finally found a firmware that has google play and all (it is vietnamese !!!)
SM-G7508Q_4.4.4_AndroidHero.tar.md5
thats the name of the file i got !!!
I flashed my phone !!!
then i factory reseted it !!!
its all fine !!!
BUT !!!
now my wifi is always turned off !!!
can't turn it on !!!
anyone knows how to fix that issue ???

Hi. I got the g7508q dual sim. I can install gapps via odin that gives me google play. But i only have 3 languages. Yes english being obe. But i want to setup with United Kingdom english. When i got phone and i done factory reset it had that option. But was rooted with kingo i wanted to hard root like i have always done but it messed up and i had to reinstall with china rom. Now not an option no more. And i want to get rid of the china keyboard and have uk english so 8f i have to factory reset i dont have to gonthrough and install all apps to get it working. Please help. Someone please develop custom roms for this phone..

you mean you find english UK for you system ? i can help you but first you must root your android..
please tell me what rom you instal from gapps ? because i use G7508Q too..and i want to used gapps rom too.. ok if you share it.. i will help you too..and we can share all about G7508Q.. hope you understand what i mean..

I have found the CF Auto Root that you had suggested here, and it has rooted the phone successfully.
