Marshmallow - Way to put phone to sleep at night - Xperia Z5 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can anyone help with suggestions please? After the MM update I can't seem to find a way (or App) to 'sleep' the Z5C at night. What I am trying to achieve is to turn off Sound, LED light, Sync, Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS and Mobile Data at night. Basically, I just want the phone to be available for outgoing (Emergency) calls at night, but nothing else. However, during the day I want return to the full smartphone functionality.
MM native Doze keeps waking up the phone to sync periodically. MM Do not Disturb doesn't seem to turn off the LED notification light. I've tried several Apps but the MM update seems to have removed the functionality for 3rd Party Apps to manage mobile data (I.E. Doze App, DS Battery Saver Pro, etc.)
Is there an easy (non-rooted) way to do this?
Cheers.

Is Sony Smart Connect only for when the phone is on charge? My phone is not on charge all night.

I think you can use a time range to start an event

[Q] Notifications off at night

Anybody got a good app for turning notifications off at night but allow certain contracts to ring? Also looking to disable the LED light and sound etc
So far only app I have on my Z2 is Quiet Sleep which does the phone calls and sound.

Check out Nights Keeper. I've been using it for several months now on a few different HTC phones & love it. There isn't an option to disable the LED, unless via stamina mode perhaps, but otherwise it should be what you're looking for.

Edit: Sorry, you've already accomplished the same thing with Quiet Sleep that Nights Keeper does I think. I'll leave in case someone else could use it & stumbles onto this thread.
I'm using tasker for that. As soon as the phone is docked and in my Wifi I turn off all the sounds and the LED notification. Turn on all the sounds as soon as I undock the phone. Works just fine. You can also define either a single contact or all your favorite contacts to ring regardless of that setting. Same goes for received texts.

Another vote for nights keeper. I was working night shift where I had finished my work allocated I would go back home to bed. I'd set it up so only certain people could get through (ie the boss and office) whether that be bus sms or call.
It's got a handy feature whereby, if anyone calls more than a predetermined number of times (you choose) there call will get through after x amount of tries.

How to keep my Sony Smartwatch 2 connected?

When I slide in/out my phone from the station, my Sony Smartwatch 2 gets disconnected. Anyone else using this particular combination of devices? Or perhaps an Android Wear watch? This is annoying because then I stop getting notifications to my wrist and have to remember to turn the bluetooth of the watch off/on (and that only works 30% of the time).
For future reference, this is no longer an issue after various updates from ASUS (and a few from Sony), not sure which fixed it, I'm just happy it works now. Plug in, plug out, no problem.
Notifications are still an issue as some apps don't reacquire accessibility permissions (or something) when they're killed as part of the switch. So far I've had success with setting Tasker on the no-kill list and using that to handle notifications (using the tasker notification plugin for Sony Smartwatch2).

Moto 360 Late Disconnect Problem

Just bought the second gen moto 360. Whenever i turn off bluetooth from my phone it doesnt immediately show on my watch that phome has been disconnected. I have also installed the find your phone app which tells you that phone is out of range when it loses bluetooth connectivity. The notification or vibration for disconnect usually come to the watch after a minute or two. Is there any problem with the watch?

Nah, no problem with the watch, it dose the same on mine.
There is due to this some kind of "power saving" feature either on the watch itself or in Android Wear app, that's why it doesn't show the disconnected sign on the watch immediatly nor the vibration alert sent by whatever apps similar to "Find your phone" app (I've tested quite a few)
What I found is that, if you turn on your watch's screen from either ambiant mode or non-ambiant mode (black screen) to normal mode, the disconnected sign would show up as well as the disconnected vibration alert within seconds, otherwise, it could take minutes...
It is kinda annoying if we wanna use those apps to alert us whenever we've left our phone behind or it's being stolen since it does not make any vibrations UNLESS we manually wake the watch face up
This kind of alert should really have been built into the Android Wear app's settings in the first place along with the vibration strength/duration settings (few 3rd party apps can do that pretty well), because a lot of us often find the watch's vibration is weak (well, actually, not that weak but too short), we know the purpose is to preserve the battery's life, but I bet a lot of us would prefer to not miss notifications rather than having a few extra hours of battery life...

Amazfit Pace Battery Life - Incredible

So I've been using my Amazfit Watch for about 6 months.
I'm getting consistent Battery life of 7 days using WOS 2.6.2.0 with my Mi Max 2 on the Xtended ROM.
Absolutely impressed and wondering if there is any benefit or need to look at the Amazfit Stratos?

It made it just over 7 days from the last charge and got to 5% and wouldn't connect to sync again. With previous rom installs I only noticed around 5-6 days total.
Is this with or without connection to phone? What settings are you using? I'm getting 4-5 days (10ish% left) with connection to phone for notifications and sync manually 2 - 3 times a day by opening the Amazfit app on the phone. I have Amazemod installed on the phone(without the service apk on watch), music streaming disabled and auto aiplane mode from 23:00 till 6:00.

Okay I'll lay out what I've done..
- Watch face is prototype source
- Brightness is on Auto
- Phone is connected to Watch via BT / No wifi / no notifications
- I don't do any routine manual syncs, just go into the app to check my performance occasionally
- Music streaming disabled
- I didn't even realise there was an airplane auto feature, so have just set that now for 9pm to 6am. Hopefully it still collects sleep data.
Not sure I've done much else, except on the phone I've turned off background activity for the Amazfit app and added the app to Greenify.
So you do not use music or notifications?
Honestly... You can set you watch to be in Always airplane mode and only disable it when you want to sync with app. It will still track your sleep and activities.
Your battery performance will be increased even more I think.

No music from the watch and actually the only notifications were weather updates. I def want sleep and activities tracked, so that's all good.
I can't get the watch to detect names when someone calls, so I guess I might set auto airplane mode to allow 30mins for updating in the middle of the night, otherwise I'll keep it off and see how it goes.

Smart watches compatability

I had a Ticwatch E before switching to the mix 3 but using it on the mix 3 now I've had so many connectivity issues. Sometimes I'd get notifications and then sometimes the watch would disconnect, just wondering if anyone is using a smart watch that doesn't have these issues or if this is just an issue with the mix 3 and ticwatches.
Thanks
My moto 360 1st gen has also some issues.

I have Huawei Watch GT, no problems at all.
No problems at all here with a Huawei Watch 2 Classic
Amazfit Pace and no problem
Dont know what happens but now All Apps works and the notification grafics are now perfekt again. No more Problems with transpatency

I had some connection issues as well.
I figured out that it only loses connection when I kill all apps and so i tinkered with a few settings:
- disable power-saving for wear OS app
- enable auto start for wear OS
It still loses the connection if you kill all apps but reconnects as soon as you check your watch.
It never loses the connection if I don't kill apps (anymore?).
Hope that helps!

Open recent apps, long press Wear OS app, and tap on the lock, now, even if you kill all apps, Wear OS won't be killed

True, but than you have to open the app in general while it is never actively opened otherwise.
Same thing with automatic started music that gets killed, even when you don't have your player open.
I've got the Galaxy Watch (46mm) and I am able to use it but with a caveat; if you unlock the bootloader you MUST root with Magisk in order to hide the fact that the bootloader is unlocked. Otherwise, the Galaxy Wear app and Samsung Pay with not even open, and you won't be able to connect the Galaxy Watch to your phone. If you keep the bootloader locked and don't want root access, it works normally.
I have a Gear 2 I flashed with Android Wear and it's been working perfectly.
My Watch GT doesn't automatically reconnect after I go out of Bluetooth range.
I've whitelisted all apps from the MIUI battery saver and granted all permissions.
I have also LOCKED the Huawei Health app to stop the system from closing it.
Once Bluetooth has disconnected, The ONLY way to get the watch to reconnect, is by opening Huawei Health or toggling the phone's Bluetooth off & on.
Unsure if it's the Huawei Health app or MIUI that is at fault.
Very frustrating.
Also using a Galaxy Watch (46mm) and it works great for the most part. You do have to root with Magisk to hide the unlocked bootloader (if you unlocked it). Other than that, for some reason I lose notifications on the watch almost every time I reboot the phone or put it in battery saver/extreme battery saver. This has something to do with the way MIUI handles notification access and is very annoying since the only way to fix it is to disconnect the watch from your phone (as in unlink it which wipes the watch NOT just turn off bluetooth), uninstall the Galaxy Wearable app completely, reboot, then re-install the Galaxy Wearable app, reconnect the watch, and restore my backed up data to the watch. It only takes a few minutes now that I know exactly what fixes it but it is really annoying that I avoid using battery saver and rebooting just to not have to deal with uninstalling and reinstalling the watch. If anyone has any better fix for this please let me know lol.
Does anyone use a FitBit? My wife bought a FitBit Versa and it constantly shows and error about the notifications not being available. She has to constantly reboot the phone to get notifications working correctly.

No problem using the Galaxy Watch with unlocked bootloader, not rooted. Using Xiaomi.eu rom.

I bought the FitBit Versa and had to return it due to notifications never working, even with all battery saving options disabled it just didn't work. Picked up the Galaxy Watch Active instead and that works perfectly, I'd recommend it instead if you still have the option of returning the FitBit. Used it with MIUI at first which worked perfectly after disabling the battery saving features.
I'm now rooted with Pixel Experience, had to download an older version of Samsung Pay to get it to work without detecting root and it's working great on that too.

Well, I've been trying to get her to return the watch, but she's looking at other phones instead. Left her to it. Ha!
