Now with "working" Lollipop!!!
This mode shows a second clock of a chosen timezone in your status bar. So if you are far from home or always need to know the hour on the other side of the world, you can use this mod. I made this being on an exchange semester and wanting to easily see the time at home.
It only has very basic functionality but I wanted to share it anyways. I am thinking about adding more features like custom layout for the clock, custom offset....
Currently I do not have much spare time to work an the mod but I will try my best to keep up. So if you find any bugs or glitches, please let me know.

Of course you need to have installed the XPosed framework to have this mod working. You can find the mod in the Xposed Repo or attached to this post.
Changelog:
26.July 2015 - Added support for Lollipop 5.0
26.Nov 2013 - Added support for 12-hour format
24.Nov 2013 - Added manual DST support and choosable divider between the clocks
21.Nov 2013 - Initial release

@Jukka666
what about adding a countdown or rather time left to the next Alarm ? Would that be possible?
If not using the Android alarm clock which would be the best as far as Wake Locks go. Maybe something custom?
Adding really some timers (maybe how much work left)
I have bought 3 or 4 Alarm clocks and none has that functionality. Only in Notification Panel.
Having this in the Status Bar right next to the clock would be AWESOME.
(Stopwatch is maybe farfetched, and timer maybe not needed) I hope you understand what I mean.
Something like
oCurrent time is 14:14
Next Alarm is at 20:00
In status bar would be 14:14/>06:46
Maybe some icon showing the Alarm etc . Or maybe really just something simple and static. 14:14/20:00
These are just a suggestions NOT REQUEST's. (Sorry for the caps, but many wannabe Moderators/Recognized..."some nasty" words, are allergic to any suggestion and start crying about some new idea)
Thanks for the mod !

That is an interesting idea, worth thinking about.
What comes up my mind: Just plain text counting down to your next calendar event (or your custom set time of the day when you finish work) in form of "current time"|"time left" 12:08|00:52. I am not really into building Android apps, thats the first step I took, so im only guessing that this could use a serious amount of system power, since the status bar is refreshed quiet often... but when I find some time, I will look into it.

That's already more that I hoped for . Thanks even for considering.
Maybe the static time to the next event, not a countdown or timer. Just that you can set a static time. Or it will display as you said the time of the next Alarm/Event. Really doesn't have to be a countdown.
Thinking that might be less of a strain for PC and maybe you. As said just suggestions . Maybe this even exists somewhere.
But seriously I would love more to see the time of my next alarm more as the stupid Alarm Clock Icon .
Again thanks and I do not mind if this leads nowhere, if it does even better.

For center clock, you should try XBlast tools, as I am not doing an all-in-one module.
I will look into the date-thing, this could be easy to implement. Also the mod should work on kitkat if you got your xposed working.

Updated to 1.1. Update should be awailable in the xposed installer.
If you check the DST option, the second clock will show an hour later. Thats if the other place you want to show uses Daylight Saving Time.
Also you can now choose different seperation symbols between the two clocks.

Does it change nothing in the status bar or does the app with the settings not work? Did you reboot? Module activated in XPosed?
Are you running a stock Samsung Rom? Maybe they use a different method then AOSP, so my hook wont work.
Can you add an option to enable/disable 24 hour mode of the clock (for home clock) ?

I guess it does not work becouse of touchwiz... I am sorry, but currently I don´t have the time to add support for a different Rom type. Maybe you can ask here if he can add this function. It is not to much effort and if he needs, I can provide him with my code.
Again sorry!
Hi, thanks for your fast response !
Maybe option to enable small/capital am/pm AM/PM, or show none (am/pm) at all, just the clock (eg. 7:00)
What do you think?
Thanks in advance! Would glad to test out your new build asap
it looks nice with Wanam Xposed center clock. but here I use 24 hour because currently xdual clock is only in 24 hour, hence my request

Updated to new version. Now supporting 12-hour format. currently it is am/pm or none, maybe I will add the option to select AM/PM.
Is it possible to use space as separator?
So there's no dedicated lg weather app, besides triggering it from the lg home screen widget (won't work with nova). This is clearly different from the g3 ports I ran on my now "old" g2 which had a weather app, and lockscreen animations worked. Is this why the lockscreen weather animations aren't working? Wtf Verizon, and what is that God awful messaging app Verizon added?!... One word.... "frozen!" - thank you ioroot!
I also tried making some nova shortcuts to the weather app (which appears in the list for activities), but it says the app is not installed....
Another oddity, where the hell did my weatherbug elite app go? It's gone from the playstore! Only the free, ad supported one is available to me....
Yep, your weatherbug, also can not find Flowly, ESPN sportscenter, apparently Verizon also wiped out the LG tasks app (although I see it in the app manager). Only weather animation or anything I've seen on the lock screen is when it's raining.
I also can not figure out how to get a message preview on my lock screen of a text rather than just "test".

yeah my lockscreen was covered with rain drops and i have espn sportscenter but i did restore all my apps from tibu
I noticed a few things missing, so I'm currently downloading a different rom and I'm going to see if I can pull those apks, add them to my Verizon G3, and get the proper weather animations along with a few other missing goodies. If someone could help compile a list of all missing features, that would help.
I know the weather animations are off, no stock browser, and no access to the Task app, but what else was there? (This will give me something to do at work today. :silly: )

Nice, I'm still plucking through, but I'll keep this thread posted with my findings. Much like the verizon g2 we also don't have the "hiddenmenu.apk", so no dialer codes will work. @xdabbeb came up with a great solution by pulling the apk from another varient, pushing it to system/app and firing of a terminal or adb code to execute it on the g2. I don't see any this wouldn't work here either.
Thanks for doing this. Is there a native flashlight app, or a way to set mms limit so pictures look better, or a way to see a text message preview on the lock screen (like the g2, had an option to read part of the message vs "New message" ) on the other g3 variants
Sent from my VS985 4G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
will the home screen weather widget from the G2 work on the G3?
Anyone notice the lack of wallpapers? And literally no live wallpaper! LG should have that out the box..I shouldn't have to go look for a live wallpaper or a nice wallpaper on day 1
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Free mobile app
I also noticed that if you set an Alarm, it doesn't show up on the Lockscreen. So if you want to check what time you set the alarm, there is no way to know unless you check the clock app. Talking about the weather info on Lockscreen, on the S3, after the JellyBean update, Samsung took away the Weather info from the Lockscreen. Why? I don't understand why Manufacturers are removing these simple and useful information.
That sucks, coming from a G Flex, probably the best stock weather animation out of the box, I am going to miss it. Granted I switched to Nova for awhile and lost the awesome weather widget, however still have the weather on the lockscreen.
Oh well, shouldn;'t even say I will miss it, as I will be currently rocking two phones. Flex for at home and LG G3 will be my work phone as I don't get service for crap in PA from Tmobile, my current provider. Great in the city, terrible in the boonies....still!
Should have my G3 Tomorrow, hopefully. Their CS is a joke compared to Tmobiles...also their online site!
I'm not sure if this is what you are referring to, but in your post title it says you lack lock screen weather. If you go into settings, under lock screen, you can set it to show widgets and add the widgets you want, which includes weather. From there, when you wake the device, the lock screen will show the weather widget on top.
I saw where you can check that box, I don't see any place you can actually add a widget though.
The lack of apps on Google Play is due to the screen resolution and size. When more developers start including it in their app development we will start to see more apps available from Google Play. You should be able to side-load them ok though. However there is no guarantee they will work.
You should have better luck from the more active/better developers .

If you prefer press and hold the lock screen, you can drag it down and it only displays lock. Once that's done, you can press and hold the clock and drag up to the trash. After that you can add the widget you want in it's place.

Ever wish that LG had given the V10/V20 more widgets in the second screen? Well, wish no more! BoredSigns adds many more widgets to your SignBoard (get it? SignBoard --> BoredSigns?), ones you may need and ones you may not.
The best part about BoredSigns? It doesn't need root! That's right; you can get some brand new widgets on your completely Stock V10 or V20. In the future, ADB may be necessary for certain widgets, but right now, you don't need your computer at all.
Current widgets:
— Information
— Weather
— Image
— Navigation Bar

I bought it in the play store (I want to support any development for the 2nd screen).
I have to thank you just for the simple fact that at first, I didn't know how to run it... so I went into the 2nd screen options. I had no idea that I had other widgets that I could run. I never thought to tap the "..." on "Show when main screen on" so I have been stuck with the basic options this whole time. Worth my $1.05 right there.
So, after using it for a few minutes, I noticed the persistent notification for BoredSigns, so I long-pressed it and turned off all notifications. Will this negatively affect the operation of the app? I did notice that when I swiped my notification shade down, or when switching between widgets, the 2nd screen options would come on, so I restarted the phone. It doesn't seem to be doing that anymore, but I did have to toggle weather on and off a few times to get a real location and not 100*F in Philadelphia.
Bonus question... where can I find out more about the "yet unreleased AOSP implementation of the 2nd screen?"
Found the perfect image for the second screen a mod one of the best football team in the world...perfect fit and color !
Happy user here....thank you again for this :highfive:
So someone suggested I do a navigation bar widget. After lots of Java reflection (the actual tool, not thinking about my life with Java), I went with a simple Accessibility Service.
Because of that, these functions will be available:
- Back
- Home
- Recents
- Split Screen
- Power
- QS Pulldown
- Notification Pulldown
If there are any other (simple) buttons you might want, suggest them. I'll add them in if I can.
Here's what it looks like right now:
