Do the sim cards 1 and 2 differ from each other? I'm getting 4G/LTE automatically in slot 2 but not in 1 and I'm now not able to use my microsd. Please help.

I suggest you re-flash to the official Chinese stock ROM by using Mi flash or Mi pc suite.

I don't understand question here. Yes cards are different, SIM 1 is micro and Sim 2 is nano. As for signal, only one card is 4G capable and another is 2G. Data dedicated slot is automatically on high speed 4G network. As for micro SD, try to make sandwich with SIM 2. Just search on YouTube hybrid Sim plus micro SD.

I confirm I'm able to use 4G only in slot 2, slot 1 works in 3G

I use slot one for 3 g also. I was not aware that slot two is the only one able to do 4 g
No, only one slot is able to receive 3G or 4G, another slot is only 2G. At least it is like that in my phone

Hello does anybody know of a double nano simtray for this device ? Asking because I have two Sims each with 3 GB and don't wanna have to fiddle with the adapter in the middle of the month ?
Wouldn't you just need nano-micro adaptor for the 1 sim? Then have both sims in all the time.

Yes I have the adapter or the sims I have are multi but afaik the 5x only has 2g in sim slot 2 ... Or am I wrong I've looked with my Google Fü but no luck I just remember a Utube vid where they said that...
Just read on a DLand site I can switch which card uses the Lte hope that true than I´ll be ok ...

LTE/4G/3G works on either sim slot, however only one sim at a time can be LTE/4G/3G and the other sim will only be 2G, but you can change which slot is which in settings.
Got it love it and the 4g switch works .... Delete post or mark as solved..

Do you mean 3 g?
If so, only 1 simcard at a time supports 3g
you can buy a cheap adapter on internet.

pretty sure you can switch the data use over the two sims without removing them

Hello, I just got p9000 yesterday and i updated to latest release. But I can't seem to get 4g connectivity nowhere even though it supports LTE in my area. So does anyone have fix for this.
Swap the SIM slots and put the SIM card in the other slot just for testing purposes.
Do you have a data connection in general? So you get edge and 3G but only LTE is not possible?

I tought i responded to your reply I am sorry that i didn't. The problem was with my carrier but i will buy new sim card from different carrier and try that too.

It was the carriers problem different carrier works now.
Hi, i read on gsmarena that honor 7 is dual sim stand by that means that both sims cant be active at the same time, is it true?
I want to insert another sim in my honor 7 and want to use both sims simultaneously. How can i make it work?

It depends on the variant you have. Most don't have two full modems for it.
You need to check calling your SIM 2 number from SIM 1 and vice versa.

What about 3g data? you can use 3g on both sims?
P.s Sorry to bother you with so many questions bro but i have to buy another sim for work and use both sims simultaneously, so just want to clear all this before deciding on buying another phone or not for the work sim

I am from Pakistan and using both sims simultaneously. The model is PLK-L01.
You can use one sim for 3g/4g and the other works on 2g only..

Nope, you can just go to settings>dual sim settings and change your other sim to perform 4g/3g and the first one to perform 2g. If I remember correctly, you don't even need a restart.
It just takes 4,5 secs and you are good to use 4g on the second sim.

PLK-L01 can support dual sim and use them both . one is 4G and the other is 3G
but while making call uthe other sim will not be busy it will ring like normal .

im having real problems with my honor 7, i cant seem to be able to use my 4g/3g slot ? the sim card only works in the 2g slot, this isn't really an issue for calls and texts but its a major issue for using my mobile data, like i say when i use the 4g slot all i get is emergency calls ? as soon as i switch it to 2g slot it works fine, its driving me absolutely insane, someone please help lol
did this happens with all sims ?

Yes with all Sims, it's almost like the phone will not receive a 4g signal ? But the 2g slot works perfectly

i think you have a problem with slot or just dload the offical rom once and reset again
I've installed the stock rom a few times now and it makes no difference, it's weird because neither slot ( 1 or 2 ) will function as the 4g slot but both slot 1 and 2 will function fine as 2g, makes me wanna bounce the phone lol grrrrr
Can anyone link me to an official rom ? Just to make sure I am downloading an official one ? I'm sure I already am but just to make sure
Also everytime the phone dies, restarts or is turned off I lose signal and have to swap slots again

No... If i choose to apply 4g in the same slot in which i put the sim, it loses the connection (for calls and mobile data). If i select the other slot, the connection comes back but only in 2G...

I have recently changed mobile operator. During the transition I briefly needed to use two SIMs while my number was ported.
After some struggles, I managed to switch the 4g over to SIM 2 but I can't remember exactly how I achieved this. Now that the number is ported I only want to use one SIM in slot 1, so that I can use an sd card. However I am struggling to activate the data connection in this slot. APN settings are identical.
In summary, data connection is only active when the SIM is in slot 2 (nano/hybrid slot) but not active in slot 1 (micro SIM). How do I fix this?
