Cant Flash Cm 13 on moto e 2015 - E 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I try to flash cm 13 , it says go to bootloader then type this line. I did it but i got failure.

You're gonna have to be a bit more specific with your issue. What specific line did you type and what specific error did you get? It'd be helpful if you pasted your terminal/command prompt output, starting with what you entered.

Sry for replying sooner, but it would say sprint user detected, then it would say go to bootloader and type fastboot oem config-id boost user.

Download Minimal ADB and Fastboot, unzip to Desktop: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
Reboot Moto E into bootloader mode, connect to PC.
Open a command prompt to the unzipped Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder.
Type: fastboot oem config fsg-id CARRIER
With CARRIER being "boost" if you're on Boost Mobile, "frdm" if you're on FreedomPop, "ringplus" if you're on RingPlus, "virgin" if you're on Virgin Mobile, or "sprint" if you're on Sprint.
So if you're on Boost Mobile, you'd type: fastboot oem config fsg-id boost
Should only take a second to config, then disconnect and reboot the phone back into the bootloader, then go to recovery and try flashing CM13 again.

I am same, trying to flash a moto e 2nd gen, for last 2 days. For some reason, the OS crashed. But it is rooted and unlocked.
c:\adt-bundle-windows-x86-20130219\sdk\platform-tools>fastboot oem config fsg-id
CARRIER
...
(bootloader) <UTAG name="fsg-id" type="str" protected="false">
(bootloader) <value>
(bootloader) CARRIER
(bootloader) </value>
(bootloader) <description>
(bootloader) FSG IDs, see http://goo.gl/gPmhU
(bootloader) </description>
(bootloader) </UTAG>
http://goo.gl/gPmhU goes nowhere.
Typing fastboot oem config fsg=id frdm FreedomPop User or typing fastboot oem config fsg=id frdm fails to config jack.

It's not "fsg=id".
Type in:
fastboot oem config fsg-id frdm

Idea
I don't see the part where you got an email with the unlock code from HTC.
You have to submit that text to HTC, get an email with the file, put the file in the same folder as Fastboot, and then apply it.
Thanks for the reply,I got the code emailed and downloaded.I put it in the folder with the fastboot and got the error...I have no Idea what I did wrong.
Don't reboot your phone...also...male sure the phone is still in fastboot obviously.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA App
Thanks for your reply also.
I got it unlocked I had to change the folder name,I guess it wouldn't work cause unlock was in the folder name as soon as I changed it and entered the path it went though.. so I'm guessing that was the problem.

I figure your phone is an AT&T version? You didn't gave much details about your phone and config so I will guess it is At&T
Try this to solve your issue.
Start by installing your SDK tool correctly, guide HERE
Download this recovery HERE
Move this file in your platform-tools folder
Press and hold the Shift key and right click on a empty space of that folder and select Open Command Window Here
In the command window with your phone in FASTBOOT USB mode
Type>fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.4.4.0-evitareul.img
(Success)
Type again>fastboot erase cache
(Success)
Unplug your USB cable
Hit one time Power
Select Recovery (Volume down)
Hit Power to Reboot in Recovery
Your phone should reboot in Recovery
(!! The following instruction are with TWRP Recovery installed !!)
Select Advanced -> ADB Sideload -> swipe to activate
Download this file ViperXL+ 1.2.7 JB and transfer this file again in platform-tools folder and rename it : ViperXL
Press and hold the Shift key and right click on a empty space of that folder and select Open Command Window Here
Double click on the ViperXL.zip file and locate the boot.img and drag it to the platform-tools folder.
Type>adb sideload ViperXL.zip (Enter)
(Success)
Once done select Wipe menu and wipe (factory reset and format system)
Select Install menu of the Recovery
Locate sideload.zip and select it.
Swipe to confirm.
Aroma installer will start leave everything by default and install the ROM.
Once done select Reboot-> Bootloader
Make sure FASTBOOT USB is highlighted
In bootloader via the command window type>fastboot flash boot boot.img (Enter)
(Success)
At the prompt type>fastboot erase cache (Enter)
(Success)
Finally at the prompt>fastboot reboot (Enter)
Rebooting
Give your phone ~5-10 minutes to complete the installation.
Tell me how that went please.

Yes, it is relatively easy to do so,
Reboot in bootlader mode in your command window type> fastboot oem lock
Again type at the prompt >fastboot reboot-bootloader
Make sure FASTBOOT USB is highlighted and continue the procedure
Directly via Windows simply execute this RUU on your computer.

###
Hi, need some guidance. I live in the UK and bought an HTC One M9 online. Turns out it came from Hong Kong and is the Asia TW (Taiwan) variant instead of the UK version.
I basically want to put the stock rom compatible with UK on the phone - 1.32.401.17 is the firmware I'd like to install. I understand that I'll need to change my CID in order to do this (from HTC__621 to HTC__001); which means I'll also need to get S-OFF on my phone as well.
However, I'm new to all this unlocking, flashing stuff and want to make sure that this is actually possible and I won't brick my phone by doing it.
I've been doing some research and here are the steps I'm proposing to undertake:
Prerequisites:
- Install HTC Synch / HTC USB Drivers
- Install ADB and Fastboot
- Download relevant RUU file, in my case:
'0PJAIMG_HIMA_UHL_L50_SENSE70_HTC_Europe_1.32.401.8_Radio_01.01_U11440261_56.02.50306G_2_F_release_425571_signed.zip'
1. Download Sunshine and use to get S-OFF on phone
2. Change CID:
Open Command Prompt in ADB/Fastboot Folder
'adb reboot download'
'fastboot oem writecid HTC__001'
'fastboot reboot'
No change required to MID (0PJA10000 is compatible with this RUU)
3. Lock the Bootloader (Unlocked by Sunshine):
Open Command Prompt in ADB/Fastboot Folder
'adb devices' - check device appears
'adb shell'
'su'
'echo -ne '\x00\x00\x00\x00' | dd of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p2 bs=1 seek=33796'
'exit'
'exit' - if needed to get to normal command prompt
'adb reboot download'
Check Locked Status
4. Flash Stock Firmware:
Rename RUU file '0PJAIMG.zip' and ensure it is placed in the same folder as ADB/Fastboot
Open Command Prompt in ADB/Fastboot Folder
'adb reboot download'
'fastboot flash zip 0PJAIMG.zip'
Check Output Looks Right
'fastboot reboot'
5. S-On Device:
Open Command Prompt in ADB/Fastboot Folder
'adb reboot download'
'fastboot oem writesecureflag 3'
'fastboot reboot'
I've pieced this together after scouring the forums and internet. Can you kind people please advise whether this all looks correct and would work. I basically want to avoid having to root my device, I particularly want to avoid bricking it, and I want to basically get 'in and out' again and have my phone set up with a UK compatible rom and lock everything back up!
Please could you look at what I'm proposing to do and give me your thoughts on whether this would work or whether there are concerns I should be aware of before I embark on this project!
Many thanks,
Roy
