I recently rooted my Xperia Z2(D6502) and then unlocked my bootloader as I wanted to flash Resurrection Remix 5.1.1. Well I did flash it and everything is working fine but while I was browsing through the build.prop editor I found that under ro.product.name its D6503 instead of D6502. Will it cause any problem because until now everything is working fine and the ROM is really great.
no problem, that only change visually inclusive you can change a fake version android example 6.0
what's actually the difference between 02 and 03 ? :-/
nvm I found it

I have a UK Unlocked 00 model streak. I know if i use the current update it changes the model to 21. is there a way to go back to 00 or it will be stuck at 21 model. The reason for me asking is that if there is an official update from dell for our devices 00, will there be a way to revert back to that or no. Thanks

The Answer i have come up with is NO i have been trying for 6 days to do the same their is no problem going from 1.6 to 2.1 back to 1.6 a dozen times but it still has a baseband of 21
The nearest i have got is to put a nandroid backup of 4339 00 device over a 02 device ROM but it still keeps the baseband at 21 what is needed is a stock recovery for 00 devices like Paul made for the 02 devices
Id also like to do this but I need to go back to 00 for the AT&T Beta devices. I'm currently on 21 from leaked O2 2.1 beta update. Any suggestions or has anyone done this?
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
I have found a 00 recovery.img to go back.
I am testing at this time, but nothing works...
I get back to you when I have a result with this recovery.img for 00 baseband.

And what exactly is the problem of running 21 baseband?
I mean that 00 baseband is the original one with no modification from 02 or an other operator.
But it is just my own opinion

You can always check http://mobileupdate.dell.com/LatestBuild/LatestBuild_00.html by yourself.
I see Dell is updating 00 to 6267.
I mean that this package doesn't works on baseband 21 because it is for baseband 00.
Actually, I have baseband 21 and I want to go back on baseband 00 for some issues.
So, I install the package for baseband 00 on my streak, It doesn't work, isn't it ?
I'm sorry, but I don't understand you.

we shouldn't talk about baseband but device type ... The 21 type is the O2 type. As soon as you flash a recovery (and after a firmware) for a O2 device you can't flash again a firmware for your device type (00 = european unlocked). The only way to flash again a firmware for your device type is to first flash a recovery for your device type. Untill now there is not any recovery for 00 device type.
OK. Now I get it.
So one should first dump recovery partition before going with an upgrade.
It's very easy.

Why does this subject of returning from baseband 21 (O2 Device) to baseband 00 (Dell Direct Unlocked) - always end up in no solution in most threads I have come across?
I had a Delldirect purchased baseband 00 device
fastbooted and installed O2 2.1 official ROM
The objective of returning to baseband 00 for me would arise if I wanted to get my device back to factory conition for warranty purposes. or alternatively if Dell introduces their own official upgrade to 2.1 - (no O2) I's like to revert back to that or even 1.4 (build 4399) - for various reasons.
So finally, is there a way I can do that - is someone looking for a solution - of do I have a device which I have deliberately screwed up because now there is no recovery image for moving from baseband 21 to 00 ?
Can someone please outline the process in one single post so all of us who have a dell direct device and moved from 1.6 4399 to O2's 2.1 official - can find our way back?
Preety please?
Why don't you read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=778290 ?
Which baseband is better 55 or 67
and WHY? (battery life, connection..speed)...
Other details: Prototype model X10 runnin' on Bell network
Perhaps the last version is better than the previous ....
You talk about baseband 55, but it's a X10a version.
Be sure you have not a X10i, because this version won't run on it.
Here you have the baseband collection with specific models.
For the 67 (for X10a and X10i), I've found a link http://www.mediafire.com/?poi6bq7n69ok0wc
Thanks a lot man, I really appreciate it!
Hy guys.
Hope im right here in forum. I´ve troubles to send SMS (receiving is ok) with Custom ROMs.
Now i´ve installed a 2.2 Custom Rom with BB 52.
Could i fix this problem by installing another BB Version???
yeah its a known problem of bb 49 and 52.. try bb 54 or above.. that problem seems to be solved in baseband 54 and above..!!
THX for response, but for me it didn´t work with any BB.
I tested an other SIM, and it worked.
So i´ve been gone to my provider´s shop and changed the SIM. Now it works.

It should work with official baltic 5.0.2 lollipop and I think the baseband should work too. I bought my device from Hong Kong and I use the nordic lollipop and I haven't noticed any baseband disfunctionment. Not sure about the root but it should work.

No problem mate...will wait.......hopefully it comes out this week
Xperfir, is showing 242 for 6 markets, all 6833 (Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, UAE, Thaliand, France and Mena Latin)
post screenshots..
For those are with 6833, i have already install the update, is the 5.0.2, only "issues" i have found:
- No XLOUD on Walkman APP, but have the EQ and Clear Audio etc...
- Camera quality is worst than on 4.4.4, more granulated, if you take a picture and zoom it, is worst than ever, even worst than in my Xperia SP!!!!
- My phone is heat more than in 4.4.4, in 4.4.4 i have ~24/25º, now on 5.0.2 have 27.5/28º (nothing special i know, but it feels in hand more than before.)
Until now is only that i can see is the problems, XLOUD is not a problem, i can live without XLOUD...but Camera is something i can belive the update fck'd up!!
how is possible the camera is worst on 5.0.2??can u post some comparisons?
Just got done updating my C6806 and everything is working perfectly. I am able to use my LTE from T-Mobile as well as send and receive picture messages. Sony's Lollipop feels very smooth. I have not encountered any bugs yet.
So for the people asking if its safe to update outside of your region, the answer is yes and it works extremely well.
Trying to download with xperifirm, but every time it stops at about 15% and i can't resume, only start from 0... so... that sucks, yeah

Gents,
Are we able to root this FW via Towelroot or other current one-root process?
Nordic handset here, rooted, Titanium. All good! :good:
