Hey all. So when I turn on auto brightness on my S6E it just goes to full whack. The brightness goes up to the brightest. Even if it's on auto and I cover the sensors it still stays on max brightness. Anybody know a fix? Is it easily solved? I'm on G925F 6.0.1. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Hi there, I've did try searching the forum regarding this issue. I still can't seem to turn the Auto Brightness Off, Whenever I set my brightness more than 0%(dim) the auto brightness just kicks in. Only at 0% and 100% then the auto brightness will not function. Only in values between 1% & 99%. Anybody had similar problems or have a fix to it?
I have the opposite problem, i don`t know how to use the auto brightness feature, there is no such option in my screen brightness settings..
Auto brightness was removed in the 2.1 update.
Hell knows why.
I want it to be removed I can't seem to disable my auto brightness, its always ON

My auto brightness turns itself off.. dunno if my finger touches the box.. but gets annoying for sure.. buggy for sure
if you have the Samsung auto app installed.. remove it..it has a bug that deactivate the auto brightness
its a well known bug ,i hope it will be fixed, mine is off but the phone acts like its on
If you have adaptive color selected, it will do that. The only reason I keep adaptive color on is it allows the brightness to go over the "max" brightness the slider allows.
Hello, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and I've had this annoying problem ever since I got this phone in 2017. The screen brightness keeps changing automatically even though I turned off auto brightness.

Here is a video example. As you can see, the brightness changes by itself when covering the light sensor, even though auto brightness is set to off. It might be hard to see the difference in the video but it's quite noticeable in real life.
Is there a way to fix this?
Since I got the a21 I noticed that when I'm out with auto brightness on it adapt to the sun but once I'm home the brightness slider goes all the way down
and pretty much stay there unless I go near a light.
Is there a way to recalibrate the auto brightness?
I have auto brightness turned on, power saving mode off, and brightness cranked to max. I don't know why the brightness of this device isn't enough under direct sunlight? I tried to find a sunlight mode like in MIUI but there isn't one here. What can I do to fix this?
