So the main reason I bought the padfone was because well, it has a pad docking station... and the main reason i wanted that dock was so I could watch videos as I take a lot of online courses and tutorials.
However, I've been unable to do this as none of the streaming video apps work. Videos wont play on the youtube, coursera, udemy, facebook apps for some strange reason. They all just show an error right when you press play.
Has anyone else experienced this ? Is there anyway to fix this ?
There is some kind of issue with YouTube that I am also experiencing with mine as well. I have tried various "fixes" from the internet, but to no avail. Some people say that logging out of YouTube and then back in will work. Others say that if you uninstall it or clear the cache then update it it will work. Yet more say that if you make various changes to your internet specifications it will fix it. I have met with failure with all of these, but others say it will work for them.
I would also try to sideload flash if you haven't already, that may help.
Try heading over to the Play Store > (Drawer) > My apps & games, and ensuring that there are no updates available.
If everything is updated and the issue still persists, ensure that the software on your phone is up to date as well.

Anybody else notice this? The past 2 days I can't get TV Shows Stream to play any videos. App loads, can search for shows and see the lists, but nothing will play. Looked around, googled, couldn't find any recent chatter about it. I've been using it a LOT on my TB.
I know it's no longer available in the market, but I was under the assumption that if you had it it would still work.

i know i've had bad luck with some of the source links for it, but megavideo usually plays.
chances are you're seeing the same message everyone else is (androidcentral forum members) about "this video has been taken down" or "video removed"--have you tried all of the source links (karambavidz/megavideo/etc) for the videos?
i love the app and will hate when it's no longer working. i already hate that it's removed from the marketplace. they removed it THE DAY i rooted and had to work my magic to get the .apk back

Mine is still working. I had an issue with sound playing and emailed them. They told me to:
1- Uninstall "Adobe Flash Player"
2- Uninstall "TV Shows Stream" (Note that you will lose your saved bookmarks)
3- Reboot your device
4- Install "Adobe Flash Player" from Android Market
5- Install "TV Shows Stream" from Android Market
Is anyone else facing problems while using the Comixology, DC Comics and Marvel comics apps after upgrading to ICS.
I have US version of the tablet with non rooted ICS.
Ever since the ICS update, I am unable to login to my comixology, DC Comics and Marvel comics account. Even after uninstall/reinstall..........multiple password resets, I am unable to log in. However I can log in from the browser of the tablet itself to the comixology web site using same credentials.
Is any one else facing similar problems with the app?? And is there a way to resolve it?
I've only used Marvel app since the update but have not had any problems with it. I just checked Comixology app and it worked fine and even said I had a couple updates on downloaded comics.
Are you using the standard ICS or a rooted ICS?
Standard ICS. Non Rooted. I have US version of the tablet.
I have been working with the customer support but they really seem clueless as of now. Even the feedback button in the app is unable to work.
I tried by creating a new id as well......that didnt work either.
So seems like some kind of setting is screwed up but I dont know which.
I saw the same problem being reported in the app rating and reviews of play store.................where users seem to be facing similar problems.
Any idea what may be wrong??
I haven't used it for a while, so I went to go re-download it from the store and it crashed my Play Store app twice, then said it was an invalid package when I tried to install it. Weird.
Fourth time was the charm, and when I finally got it loaded up I didn't have any problems logging into my account.
Did you try going to Settings > Apps > All > DC Comics, and then clearing the data and cache for the application? Might have something leftover from a previous install that got corrupted.
Still not working for me.
Tried install/uninstall/clear data/clear cache several times.
This happens for Comixology, DC Comics and Marvel Comics app.
I even tried creating new user ids and same problem was still encountered.
The support team sent me an email saying they are still looking into the issue but I believe right now they are pretty clueless.
All other apps like Zinio, Time etc are all working fine. So definitely is a problem with one of the version updates that the Comixology app received due to which some setting is causing the app to behave in this fashion on my tablet.

Attempts to clean cache/data and revert to older version of the app were unsuccessful too although it would not crash. I tried searching the forum but didn't find any reports of people having problems lately. I must also mention that my YouTube account was banned some time ago due to some lame reason with a few foreign variety show video clips I posted being reported. Long story short, I was able to still watch YouTube clips previously with the app, without being successfully signed in. Both of my devices are on stock 4.2.2 with custom kernel and rooted of course.
Anyone got an idea?

Have the same problem on my Xperia S, also every time it's crash I need to On/Off my WiFi connection, comments in Google Market shows, that, at least, some people faced this problem too, so waiting for fix. For me the youtube app was perfect and completely bugless until last update.
Hi guys, i just got my mi box a few days a go and i'm struggling to make it work properly.
I seem to be unable to install apps from google play store, it starts downloading and then fails on endless errors, 400/403/920 and so on...
My network is just fine, i have other tv box connected, apple tv, computers, phones, everything works well on all other devices.
The play store tends to through me error that the network is disconnected though its not.
I somehow managed to side load netflix and latest youtube version - they stream 4K without any problem - so i know for sure the network is fine.
Also, i tried updating to latest firmware (beta, from here: https://beebom.com/how-update-mi-box-android-nougat/) - no help either, still the same issues.
I've also tried every procedure out there, clear cache/data of the play services and play store, uninstall account, create a new google account, nothing seems to work.
It seems that play store is not the only issues, i side loaded gmail - same issues there, same for google drive.
I'm lost, not sure what else i can do to get it work.
Help will be appreciated, i can maybe try to install a new rom but no idea where to get one from.

Title says everything. I hope I'm posting this in the right spot. I tried searching for this topic before posting but didn't see anything. I'm having trouble downloading games and apps off Google play store.
The game I'm trying to download is the gi joe war on cobra. I've had it downloaded and working before, but when I tried to update for the game it simply wouldn't download. So I tried removing it entirely from my device and re download it in its entirety again. Now it just gives me errors everytime I try to reinstall, this isn't the only time I had this issue, but its becoming annoying, cause I see it from time to time again on some apps and games, I'm trying to figure out a solution as to why, I was hoping someone out there knew the cause of this issue.
The device I have is a note 10 plus, android version 10 and its all up to date on its security and patch as well as software version. I have already googled this topic in which I'm asking for help with and have followed tutorials as to how to resolve it, but they proving not to be the solution to the root of the issue, such as.
*Restart device.
*Clearing both data and cache of the app store
*Removing the Google account.
*Force stopping the download manager and then resetting device.
*Checking storage for space (i have about 200gb left on board and like 500 sd)
*Cleared Google play services.
*Uninstal and reinstall Google play updates
Any advice or solutions to fixing this would be nice, it seems to be an issue with my device, but I'm not certain on this.
