Hi everyone
I would like build an AOSP KitKat for my device (Samsung SM-G350) from the CyanogenMod 11 device tree (because device tree is already stable).
But, I can't "lunch" in the terminal because the device tree is made for CyanogenMod builder, and AOSP one isn't working.
My question is : How to port a CM device tree for an AOSP device tree ?
Files to change, remove, rename ?
I use this one (thanks to SiniTurk for their work) : https://github.com/SiniTurk/android_device_samsung_cs02/tree/cm-12.1
Thanks a lot,
Kevin.
UP please

Hellow everybody!
My device (Acer cloudmobile) has great hardware Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB RAM etc... but has almost 0 community for developers... so no 4.2.2 or 4.3 custom ROMs, just an cyanogenmod 10 (4.1.2).
I want to start compiling cyanogenmod 10.1 from source, but I need device and vendor trees. So here is my question: can i use device/vendor trees from the cyanogenmod custom ROM or do I have to create my own trees for CM 10.1?
Thanks a lot!

Hello
This is me device tree for CM10
Code:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_sony_jlo
Can you point me some base changes I have to make in that device tree to make it working for AOSP?
I've already compiled 3.4 kernel from sony source but I want to try make an AOSP for my device (it already has official JB 4.1.2 and 100% working CM10)
Hi,
I'm not a developer.
I've Innjoo i1 (which is a MT6582 phone only available in Middle East and Africa)..recently Mediatek release the source code for MT6582.and CM source is available to download I see.
So I just wanted to know if this's enough for me (or someone else) to compile Cyanogenmod for our device..(Speaking CM 11 or 12)
If it's enough then I'll read and learn then compile it..if it's not..tell me to stop.
And what exactly do I need to compile CM for X device?
Thanks.
I extracted my device tree from my boot.img and I have a Kitkat Kernel for MT6582..Now what?
I just need proper steps.
Thanks.
I'd suggest reading a lot of this and getting involved with Cyanogenmod for mediatek devices
I have some quiestions about porting :
Cyanogenmod how builded together with kernel or seperated needed to be builded ?
Do i need to put another patches or someting else to stock vendor source kernel to will work cyanogenmod ?
Hi,
I'm trying to build a Cyanogenmod 12.1 ROM for MT6589 based device. We need developers who can develop a Cyanogenmod 12.1 based device tree. We have an existing Cyanogenmod 12.0 device tree, but it's having lots of bugs.

Here is the device tree: https://github.com/Preet23/android_device_micromax_a116/tree/cm-12.0_dev1
(It uses 3.4.5 kernel as we have already booted 5.0 ROM with this kernel)
If possible, just help me figure out what's the error.
Thanks.
