Just rooted my i9100 and 10 mins after first boot into new rom i found out that my orginal i9100 battery dies. Even if it`s charged to 100%.
Anyway, got a hold of a similar battery from my brother, think its from a galaxy S* active of some sort. Now im wondering if it can function as a replacement.
I have tested it and phone seem to work like normal.
So; is there anything i should be aware of? Phone reads it like it`s a 1650 mA, even if its a 1500mA..

Hi,
If it works, then I don't see why it can't be used as a replacement. Only the capacities are different, which will have no affect on how much power is being delivered. If you want to be on the safe side, get a proper replacement battery from anker. Most batteries advertised as genuine online are usually fakes, whereas anker aftermarket batteries are a quite reliable.

Thanks for fast reply!
Forgot to mention that the original battery have 4 pins whereas the new one only have 3. Not sure what the fourth pin is for, but phone boots and works

The winner who is able to locate a location where this charger can be purchased will be rewarded with....
the feeling of happiness.
The rewards are great, and the charger is awesome. Anyone up for some fun scavenger hunting?

Is there actually a way of getting this charger and not buying this stupid knock off?
I also like the charger.
Man, i want this charger so bad. I take it no one has had any luck?
I tried everything, I emailed anyone and everyone who listed a phone with this silly charger. Not one of them would sell me the charger without the phone.
I even tried telling them how terrible these phone are and just send me one of the chargers from a return. It didn't work.

This isn't good gonna hit yo a sprint store manana
That's normal. Of course your screen is going to use the most battery. It doesn't mean that your screen used 63% of your battery. It means, out of the total battery used, having the screen on used 63% of that.
Take my word for it, I'm at a technician in a Sprint store.
But I'm only at three hours total

What apps have you put on your phone from the Market? Check if any are keeping your phone awake.
Lots of games and such
I will take it to sprint tomorrow. If something is draining it I cannot see it here
Took it to SPrint store and they said everything checked out (battery and phone) fine.
They ordered me another one.
Is there a possibility that an app can drain battery without showing up on the betterbatterystats?
Are you sure it's charging? I've been having issues where I have to use the HTC charger only. The other chargers I have will not work even though the charging LED lights up and the battery icon shows it's charging. Are you using the HTC charger?
yeah HTC charger and cable
Maybe a new charger and cable? I also have generic cables and chargers (like LG and a Samsung)
After three years of reliable service, my Rezound is now hard-bricked. My extended battery case tends to shift around a bit as the battery heats up (the locking tabs are worn down) and the phone lost power DURING EMMC formatting, due to the cover popping off enough for the battery to come disconnected. After putting the battery back in place, no power, no charge LED, no USB connect sound in Windows, no ADB or Fastboot response.... JUST DEAD.
I was preparing this phone to give to a friend since I just got a One M8, but I doubt he wants a brick. I looked online for unbrick services, and it seems that a $50+shipping JTAG/RIFF unbrick is just not cost effective (the phone goes for $60-80 on Swappa).
Can anyone here find it in their heart to unbrick this thing at a VERY low price so I can give it to a cash-strapped friend? If not, into the lake with it! :crying: :crying:

After a single day of use, my phone was reporting less than 10% remaining, a little strange as I've not used it much, but maybe a run-away app so I plugged it in (Samsung mains charger), then this happened:

Specs: Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300, not locked to any carrier, factory unlocked, no carrier logos or apps. Not rooted, standard OS, Android 4.3, Kernel 3.0.31-2788594, JSS15J.I9300XXUGNJ2.
So I'm now wondering either:
Super-powerful charger,
Phone thought battery was lower than it actually was,
Phone now thinks battery is a lot higher than it actually is,
Battery is on way out,
Something else?
wifi Seems on all the time. remember it's also the one that cause battery to drain.. some user/system apps running in the background..
Thanks, but I was more wondering about how the phone managed to go from 7% battery to 64% battery in less than a minute, and slowly increase from there until I unplugged it. It's at 54% now so appears to be stable.
I've stumbled upon those nifty little accessories, it works both as a back cover/case, and a power bank (2600mah) you can use to charge up your phone while away from charger.
I'm pretty sure i'm not the only one finding Samsung got *cheap* with the Alpha's battery (comon, the battery could have been twice the size by just being larger and/or adding 2/3mm to the Alpha, wich would have only made it better imho).
I hope it can make some people happy (i had no idea those things existed before, i'm looking up to see if i can get it for some other phones of my familly they found "lacking" on the battery side ).

Mugen battery pack
[SOLD]
Hi everyone,
I bought a Mugen Power Extended Life Battery 3600mAh on eBay recently, but unfortunately my Alpha has been stolen before I use it :/
So I have this item and I can't use it. Does anyone would be interested buying it ? I just never used it and it's brand new, sold with bill and warranty, for 50USD (instead of 90USD).
The battery comes with two back doors and the quality of these is really good. Personally, that was the battery I searched for a long time since Samsung stopped the production of its original Extended Battery Pack.
