I cant get into safe mode.
Maybe your flashtool drivers are not Installed properly. Go to flashtool folder and Install drivers from drivers.exe. If you're using win 8 or 10 maybe, you will need to disable drivers verification.
If nothing helps, you may hard bricked your XP

I just installed clockworkmod recovery on my galaxy SII and when i tried to enter it, it entered downloading mode and says "DOn't turn off target". How to take it out of the downloading mode? Can i take off its battery anyway?
Just hold down the power button until it shuts down / restarts. To enter recovery you hold menu, vol up and power button, not vol down as that enters download mode.
hold vol down + homekey + power
Oh thank you sir, I was scared ****less just now. I thought i had bricked it ( I know, i'm a noob haha). Just one more question: What is the best stock ICS rom avaible right now?

Hey everyone,
How do I reboot my Xperia U in recovery mode?
Someone says, I have to press the Vol+ button repeadly while booting, another one says the Vol- button and powerup button, but nothing worked.
I used boot in recovery in the ROM manager, but my phone booted normally.
regards
MasterBolle
The way is vol +
If this doesnt work for you try tapping the screen on Sony Logo.

hey guys i did somethign wrong obviously i flashed a rom (my bad) while i was on an another rom and now my Phone stucked in Sony logo .
i tried to press volume down button to go into recovery but it doenst work.! what should i do?? i can only turn off phone with Power button + Holding Volume Up button ! i connect my phone with this procedure on xperia companion and now i am repairing software!
is this the only solution or i can get to recovery with another method and just restore my Previous rom backup?
If you have an unlocked BL, flash a custom stock-based kernel and use its recovery to restore your backup.
You can also use flashtool. Sony Companion isn't a bad way to restore device though, used this a couple of times myself.

In flashtool, you need to power off the device then hold - vol and then insert usb cable while holding - vol.
