Hi guys! I have a LG G2 mini d620r, and I rooted it 3 months ago keeping the stock ROM. Everything worked fine, but now i have some weird issues.
First of all i noticed a crash of the Contact app when I try to view the call log. Next, the contact search with the dialer doesn't work. Finally, I can't recieve any call. When happens, i can see the UI of the call, but a message appears, which says that the process com.android.phone crashed. If i close this message, the UI disappear, and a message says that the process InCallUI stopped. I already tried to delete /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db and /data/data/com.android.phone, but I still have those issues.
Any solutions? Or do I have to hard-reset the phone? Or even re-flash the ROM? (in this case, I'll wait until a stable version of one of the developing ROMs)
I want to apologize for my bay english, I'm italian.
Nobody answered...
Finally, I flashed the stock firmware using the LG Flash Tool. First I tried a normal flash, but bugs weren't gone. A CSE Flash worked well.
Then, because I'm stupid, i edited a system file for increase the in call volume (yes, i re-rooted the phone the day after) and i bootlooped it. A Factory Reset and a normal flash solved this problem, but I guess I have to be more... Careful.
I can survive without Xposed, and I'll use root only for AdAway, setcpu and other simple and secure apps. Topic solved.
First I'd like to thank you all for this forum, it helped us very much.
A few weeks ago My P780 (with english KitKat, rooted by seller) started showing these error messages "calendar has stopped working" "acore has stopped working" "google services has stopped working" "(random app) has stopped working". Only pushing the reset button got rid of these messages. These crashes became more and more frequent and I decided to try and solve it. I watched many "how to" videos on youtube and I decided to clear cache in factory mode. It did not solve it. Than I saved all my important data, and did a factory reset. The loading screen was on for too long, and I thought it froze, so I pushed reset. This made my phone to have a boot loop.
My brother has the exact same phone, and he did a Jellybean upgrade a year ago, and it was successful. So I have my phone to him, to repair it. Just by curiosity he did a memory check on HIS P780, and when he stopped it, it almost made his phone brick. So we had 2 identical bricked P780s.
After so many tries, he disconnected the battery and managed to recover his phone, and it works perfectly again. The strange thing is, he can't repair my phone though using the same method, same software, same driver, same cable and trying many ROM versions. After installing ROM, my phone works perfectly, but when he installs google services, all those "unfortunately stopped" error messages return. We can't understand why these error messages appear, if the phone was reflashed so many times and we tried so many ROMs. Does anybody have a clue?

Can you be more specific? What firmware did you flashed? Most of them have GAPPS installed.
Did you flashed the firmware with SP Flash Tool?

Yes, we used SP Flash Tool.
We tried firmware/ROM: "s129" (factory) and "p780_s941_vibeui_v2.0_1512". Both without GAPPS, because our phones are CE (china), not ROW (rest of the world). CE firmware does not include GAPPS. Tomorrow we will try to install ROW firmware.

Ok. I understand now. Try to flash ROW and see what is going on.

We installed VIBEUI_2.0_1512_7.149_1_ST_P780_baralajbi, this version included GAPPS and it workes perfectly. Everything is way better than the factory ROM. Unfortunately after a few days of usage the same problem returned (android unfortunately stopped), but now I noticed something. My phone keeps overheating.
I remember now, this has happened before, with the factory ROM, my phone became hot all the time, but I thought it's because of the very hot summer temperature. Now I noticed, that even if I keep the phone in my pocket, wifi, data transfer, gps, and everything turned off, not many applications running in the background, and my phone is still quite hot. When I turn the screen on and start using some apps, after 10-15 minutes it crashes.

I understand now. This is an hardware problem.
I have a Sprint Note 3 and I am having the dreaded "Unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped" problem.
I tried every single fix I found online. Even the stupid ones I new wouldn't work. I finally caved and did a full wipe. Low and behold, on the very first setup screen the error message immediately popped up.
I am stock (whatever the latest version is) and rooted.
If factory reset doesn't work I don't know what else would work. That's usually the last recourse. Any suggestions? HELP!
Do I maybe need to re-flash the stock rom? If so, can someone please provide a link?
Hello, I rooted my Note 4 about 2 years ago and never installed any custom ROM nor have I installed a custom recovery. It had been android 5.0.1. Recently, I decided to unroot and finally update it to 6.0.1. I then used ODIN and flashed the official firmware on sammobile. Everything went well with ODIN and the flash was complete. However, once my device rebooted, there was an error where it says "Device does not have DRK, please install DRK first..." and then there was an "error" in the middle of the screen. After 10 min, I removed the battery and manually reset the phone. Once my Note 4 booted back up, everything seemed fine, but i had this constant "unfortunately cloud agent has stopped" msg. Also, I noticed each time I opened the Gallery app, it would crash and the same "unfortunately cloud agent has stopped" would pop up. I tried to force stop the CloudAgent and gallery in my application manager but the issue continued to persist. When I would go into the settings under application settings, simply by clicking the gallery option will crash the settings app. Even my camera app would crash and have the same msg when I click the gallery preview on the bottom right. I read online that it was an issue with dropbox, but nothing changed. Finally, I decided to factory reset and wipe the cache partition my phone through recovery. I then noticed both DRK and Dm-Verity Verification Failed msg in red on the bottm of the recovery menu. Restarted the phone and everything seemed fine until I noticed the "unfortunately cloud agent has stopped" msg again. Not only that, when I try to turn NFC down in the setting, the setting app itself would crash. Tried factory resetting the phone a couple of time but the issues were still there. I also noticed that each time that I would reset my phone, there was the "Android is starting..." green screen that appears as if I was doing updating my phone. I tried re-installing the firmware with ODIN again, but I still had the same issues. I tried using smart switch to re-install the firmware but once i get my phone in download mode, Smart Swtich cant recognize my phone. Here we are now, I can use my phone, but I cant open the gallery app to see my photos, I cant turn off nfc in the settings, I have both DRK and Dm-Verity Verification Failed msg in recovery and I get the green Android is starting screen every time I restart the phone. Any help would be a miracle xD
I forgot to mention this, but before flashing the firmware, I forgot to reinstall some bloatware/Samsung apps that came with the, it might be related. I did back them up with titanium backup tho.
Some specs:
SM-N910W8 (Bell), I unlocked it and use it with Fido
Android 6.1.1
I flashed older firmware to downgrade my Security Patch level for compatibility with other apps but now texting does not work, but WiFi, 4G and calling works.
Every now and then, I'll get a bubble message that says "Message services stopped" or something on my phone. I can't seem to receive text messages with default app or 3rd party.
Here is what I flashed: https://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=55DD4DB9AC3E11E89F15FA163EE8F90B
an image of the contents of the .zip: https://i.imgur.com/douJokN.png I did not use the USERDATA_VZW*.tar.md5 because no instructions said to.
Was that my mistake? Everything else seems to work fine.
I just flashed all the files again, including the USER_VZW and there was no change. During the Blue Android Robot screen it says "Installing System Update" but does an Error! at 32%.
