Roaming in Home Network - Elephone P9000 Questions & Answers

Hello,
it seems so, that the P9000 do have the same problem like the P8000 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/elephone-p8000/development/mod-remove-roaming-home-network-t3206004)
Do have someone the knowledge how to fix it for the P9000?

Since the latest OTA Update this problem is away on my phone, I enjoy mobile data connection without enabling roaming. But this was also a problem on different phones, according to my Operator O2 since they combined with E-Plus.
In a nutshell this problem isn't a problem anymore at least for my device ))

wifi disconnects

Hi!
My Wifi connection keeps dropping and wifi range is very short. No estamina mode. This is very frustrating.
Anybody facing the same problem?
I have the dual and 16Gb model.
Any help appreciated.

Yo!
I think you have to upgrade the software, may be it will resolve that, or try it through a another wifi.
I know the storage space will be less, that's why I didn't upradge the software.
I have 8GB version of aqua.

test it out at *#*#7378423#*#* and see which one are causing the issue
My girlfriend is facing the same problem. it seems to be a wifi range problem in the phone. She had a Galaxy S2 and she didn't had any problem with the same router.
i'll try to change the channel of the router to try to improve the low wifi capability of the xperia m4.
By the way, i'm talking about xperia M4 E2333 (dual 16GB)

I am having the same issue with a brand new aqua m4 and I cannot find wi-fi in the service test list @ *#*#7378423#*#*
do you have other suggestions, please?

yes and no.
i changed my home internet provider and the new router did the fix. I must say that it is not fair to say that it is a solution becouse the pohone should work right with whatever router you use.
have you tried another router?
did you update the phone's firm?

Internet settings for Life Mobile (EE) in UK

Hello there,
I have been using Tesco Mobile with my Redmi Note 2 for a couple of months now and have had no problem. I decided to switch networks to a VPN called Life Mobile. They use EE's network in the UK. Since putting in the sim card today I have not been able to connect to the mobile network. I am wondering if anyone else on this network with this phone could help? I have called Life Mobile's helpline and all they wanted to do was run me through EE's apn settings. I had already used their app and also searched elsewhere on the web to find a few different APN settings but none of them worked.
One thing I'm wondering about if whether or not the custom ROM/firmware (MUI 7 I believe) that the phone shipped with (bought online from China by the way) is having anything to do with the internet problems. I get the feeling the customer service for Life Mobile were fobbing me off when they said that maybe my phone just isn't compatible with their network. Phone calls and texts work fine by the way.
Does anything think flashing the phone to the standard android ROM that's available would have any affect on the internet settings. I'm no mobile expert, and with the phone not being on general sale in the UK yet as far as I know, I would appreciate your help to get this internet/mobile data settings issues sorted, as I do use my phone for work.

I definitely know that the ROM that came with my phone from Gearbest was the worst piece of software that I have ever used in my life... ever. Check your MIUI build number and see if it's something like 5.xx.xx or 7.xx.xx. If it's something more like 77.55.66, then you have a knock-off and it may be eating your battery, performance, and experience (the original ROM Gearbest flashed on my phone had so much bloatware that the antivirus warned me about one of the programs every ten minutes, and heated up significantly on the home screen). If you have an unofficial ROM, try flashing a developer weekly or stable.

Well, would you believe it, I have spent a large part of the day trying to figure this out and finally I've done it. I'm not quite sure how but I've done it. I'll explain briefly to help anyone else who may be facing the same problem. It seems that changing the network preference setting within the sim settings from LTE to 3G did the trick. Life Mobile does not support 4G as far as I'm aware. That's no problem for me as I'm perfectly happy using 3G when necessary. After doing that and fiddling with the network settings, eventually reverting back to the automatic selection of the network as EE and using the APN default settings as given by the sim when it first was entered into the phone, things suddenly start to kick into life and we had INTERNET!

Driving me crazy as well (on a Lenovo K3 Note). Still have the Tesco SIM in there. Was going to port the number on Monday, but might get them to take the damn thing back!
Tried all the suggestions above, but nothing working. Tried both SIM slots with and without the other SIM, but nothing. Grrrrr....

Well, they sent me a new SIM card and I had all the same problems until I switched on "data roaming" and it now works fine (it didn't do anything with the last SIM though, when I tried it in another phone, I had to have date roaming on in order to even get a regular signal- data still did not work). I have seen transient "R" occurring when the SIM was activated/deactivated so had suspected this as a problem.

3G sim slot stopped working. Only works on 2G slot.

Hopefully someone here may be able to help.
Recently got a Honor 7 and has been working great, about two days ago I stopped being able to make calls and use data.
E.G. it recognises that I have an 02 sim, then switches to emergency calls only but wouldn't even let me call 999.
The 2G slot works absolutely fine. I cannot find anything on-line with regards to this issue (no fixes anyway).
Its not a major issue as I can at least still make calls and these days there is WiFi everywhere but wouldn't mind getting my 4G back or at least finding out what has caused this issue.
Would be so grateful if someone could point me in the right direction as I am completely stumped.
Tried a factory reset, no luck. Was thinking of completely re flashing the OS onto the phone and starting from scratch but not entirely sure if its worth it.

I have a same problem, but the device work in 3G only... I have tried a lot of things to solve the problem, but no way... For this reason I changed the Honor 7 with the last H7 Premium.

I would definitely be calling your service provider...sounds like tower issues or may even be a faulty or corrupted sim card.

No, unfortunately it is a device problem, Honor service answered me that it is an hardware problem, but I can wait for repair it, so I have got a new H7 Premium and the hold now is the new device of my wife, she doesn't need 4G, by the way if I choose 2/3/4 G the phone if is in 4G often don't have connection, so I put it only in 2/3 G and work fine...
So u got it repaired ?

mobile data problem

I'm experiencing an annoying issue on my XZ1 (rev4): mobile data sometimes drops and the only way to restore it is rebooting the device. Usually it happens when travelling by car.
Sometimes i also lose mobile network (not only data but also voice!) and the solution is the same: rebooting the device.
Country: italy
Provider: 3ITA
Device config: mono sim.
I searched online and someone reports this to be a hardware problem, but i'm not sure because hardware problems are not likely to be solved with a reboot.
Is anyone experiencing such issue?
Has anyone more information about such issue?
Note: the strength of the mobile signal is also fluctuating a little bit.

Maybe you are right, but all phones have problems. Even the most prised ones.
Other than this issue I really love this Sony device, and to be honest it's hard to find a issue-free device which may replace it.
I don't experience any other issue other than this one and i secretely hope this to be a software problem or something related to my provider (which is known to have problems in this period, due to the merge between two providers which is causing lot of roaming troubles).
This morning i cheked again and everithing was fine, even after travelling to my office by car.
I'm asking here for some more information, but it seems no one is affected other than you and me.
I'm going to test a sim card from another provider for a short period to verify improvements.

Signal problem

Hi there!
I faced a weird problem with my phone.
If it is out of signal for over 2-3 hours then it needs restart to gain it again.
The phone is not rooted and it runs 9.6.25.0
Any ideas if this is an S/W or H/W problem?
Here,in a Greek tech forum,told me that it is an almost common Xiaomi problem.

I live in Greece and I have no problem with signal. My carrier is Wind GR.

The problem is not the coverage.The problem occurs if I loose signal,for any reason.There is a thread (#725) reporting exactly the same problem in myphone.gr
