Hi guys!
I did something very stupid. I wanted to simply format (wipe) my SD Card and used TWRP to do it. Unfortunately it seems TWRP is very misleading in this regard:
Instead of using formating the card from withing the "Wipe" menu, I have formated it using "Advanced > partition SD". This has apparently caused my SD Card to become recognized as part of my internal memory (as described here: androidforums[DOT]com/threads/make-sd-card-as-internal-memory.887942).
Now I took my SD Card out and formatted it to exFAT using Windows but it didnt help.... My SD Card is still being used as internal and I cannot acces the SD Card from Windows anymore.
How can I fix this? It's really annoying.. the whole internet is writing how to use the SD Card as internal memory but nobody writes how to revert it...
Thanks in advance

I have used partitions on my old rooted phone where I thought the sd card had crashed because of partitioning it. Now I have removed the partition and I am still getting problems. Then I formatted my whole micro sd card using windows. Whenever I insert my sd card into windows via my phone, it asks me to format it.
Why has micro sd partitioning wrecked my sd card???!!

I am also getting the bad zip file error on android! I am beginning to believe that partitioning has destroyed my sd card permanently!
Hello. When trying to flash my mini X android box, I used sd card from my sgs2. After that, I inserted the card to sgs2 and rebooted.
The telephone said "Corrupted card" and asked to format. However, it formatted internal sd card!! And it doesn't see the external one.
I've tried formatting external sd to fat32. No luck.
What should I do?

Well, this may sound stupid or strange, but what I couldn't do with gParted or Windows partition was easily done by putting sd-card to my Note 10.1
My problem is solved by now. The only thing that bothers me is that my internal sd is formatted and everything's lost. If anyone knows how to recover all data, please pm me

Hi guys,
I have a OPX with CM 13 on it. One sim and 64 GB memory card. After flashing it asks for "PORTABLE SD CARD" OR "SD CARD AS INTERNAL MEMORY".
If we chose as PORTABLE SD CARD then we can't transfer apps on too it, as there is no option of change device in app information. And when we chose for SD CARD AS INTERNAL MEMORY it works good but when we change ROM we need to keep formatting the MEMORY CARD and can't even access the original INTERNAL MEMORY of the phone. Any suggestions how to overcome this issue.
Thanks.

Unfortunately, in Marshmallow, migrating app data to the SD card currently only works when the SD card is formatted as internal storage. One of the caveats is that you WILL NOT be able to access the faster internal storage. Kind of a bummer because I feel like the adoptive storage feature is still a bit quirky and slow for me and would rather much prefer the portable storage for now- with the decision to move certain apps to SD.

No ideas?
Maybe you have to factory reset checked #wipe interal storage#.
What android version you are using?
Nope that didn't help. I have found out that windows is not able to show/format all partitions natively using the GUI.
The solution was to use the diskpart too (integrated into windows), wipe all partitions and reformat it to fat32. Here's a manual how to do that
upgraded to marshmallow and had both the internal sd and external sd as one (using it as storage)
This turned out to be a bad item and the external sd failed (possibly due to too many reads and rights)
I noticed my internal sd card stopped being able to install apps. On further inspection in Root Explorer external sd card is a folder, but 'sdcard' almost looks like an inaccessible link/normal everyday file. Pressing it in REplorer says that it's not mounted. Yet it is the internal sd card...I can also see how much space its components are taking up under 'storage' in Android OS.
My question is how do I fix this? Most apps get installed to internal sd. I have read on XDA that sometimes kitkat would make inaccessible/encrypt the internal sd card, how do I diagnose this is my problem ,and if I find out it is,how do I fix it?
