Hello,
I have installed the AmatROM for Galaxy Tab 3 and I am still not getting USB charging. I would post in the ROM forum, but I do not have permissions yet.

Hey,
You could simply send me a PM about this !
Response to your notice:
The USB Charging is NOT normally implemented by the ROM itself
It's implemented by the Kernel and BinDroid Kernel have this feature.
Properly check your USB Cable and please, DON'T USE THE DEVICE WHILE IT'S CHARGING through the USB.
You can use Galaxy Current Charging (search in PlayStore) to check if it's charging or not.

OTG Support - Moto E
OTG support was available for version 4.4.2 and after upgrading to 4.4.4 it stopped working. Now we get only 4.4.4 version pre-installed. Is there a way to downgrade to version 4.4.2?

Moto E does not support OTG, it never did, it's both hardware and software limitation.
Is there a way to downgrade to version 4.4.2?

Yes flash 4.4.2 stock firmware without flashing gpt.bin file.
Yes, you can unlock Qualcomm settings.
Step 1 - install a custom android launcher, such as nova or apex.
Step 2 - long press on the home screen and popup appears, and click on add shortcuts. Shortcuts>activities>com.Qualcomm.settings>Qualcomm settings.
Whenever you connect your otg go to Qualcomm settings and click on enable otg or otg mode peripheral, and also switch on mass storage mode.

CONFIRMED!
OTG works on stock 4.4.2 using external powered usb hub, there is no mouse/keyboard detection but sucefully load my usb flash drive using the "Nexus Media Importer" app from playstore.
This means, Moto E has USB Host Support from hardware! The only limitation is in newest softwares/kernels!

Some Android device does not support any type of usb connections, like most of LG phones, these devices haven't otg drivers, XML permissions, mount partitions and kernell support, but in hardware i think the only limitation is the 5V power supply, and yes, you're right, mounting usb sticks through ext powered usb hub isn't otg support like moto g and x, is only a simple USB Host support

I used a external powered usb hub and a simple otg cable, this method is working only on 4.4.2 stock firmware, don't ask me why, in lollipop it don't seems to work, but probally using a custom kernel is possible put usb host to work, let's wait for a developer to do that in future
Has anyone tried whether otg works after using a powered otg cable?
Just like it worked on Xperia L .
Thanks if anyone can reply.
:good::good::good:
I mean it is need kernel and software support or anything else? On my old ace 3 it worked from cm11 to 12.1 well

well it works well for the xperia L stock rom no need of cm.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/guide-usb-otg-support-sony-xperia-l-t2427150
and for nexus 4
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/orig-development/usb-otg-externally-powered-usb-otg-t2181820
and some other devices got otg using this method as well.
I don't know whether this will work for lollipop.
we should be able to get otg to m4 through this or similar method.but actually nobody seems to be interested.
I dont have a powered otg cable or usb hub to test it.
If anyone can test it please let me know.
thanks
why is nobody interested?
Its a software bug with M4, other phones work without having external power.

If it is a software issue, we should be able to make it.
but i think the cpu and hardware supports usbhost but sony haven't made it possible to power a device externally.
and files such as Android.hardware.usb.host is missing on the m4.
check usb host checker.
if we can add these required files and power the device externally. otg should work just like xperia L.

Should be a mapping issue
A few days ago xda user yk1999 wrote the amazing tutorial, how to enable otg without power supply in our device. Thanks to him for it.
I decided that this method can be a bit complicated for users, so I made a small app to simplify otg enabling, no more need to use terminal.
This app requires root.

Then check in root explorer, do you have this file /sys/kernel/debug/regulator/8226_smbbp_otg/enable?

Not working in mine. Please help
I tried the app, it worked perfectly,
except that when I was done of course I deactivated the function from the app it self
but, my phone didn't charge via it's usb port, even that i disabled it (coz i know u indicated that i should disable it otherwise it wont charge) and I had to restart the phone completely to get it to charge again.
PS : I'm on stock using the latest PHN 4.4.2 ROM Rooted, and have TWRP installed

I tested with usb flash drive, external hard drive, zaza remote, mouse, keyboard and joystick and it is working good.
