Hello everyone. I am using the Tmobile LG v10. I made a kernel for it and it's running ok but when I open up the stock gallery it crashes.
I tried to pull the last_kmsg.txt but no luck It says there is no file or directory.
Does anyone know how to fix this or know where to look on LG phones if it's other than in the /proc/ folder.
Or does anyone know how to add it to make it start creating the last_kmsg.txt.
Thanks in advance,
LivLogik

Something I just ran across - I'm running Jivy's ICScreweD ROM, and Hulu+ doesn't show up in the on-device market, and indicates unsupported on the i9100 in the web market. My guess is that this is due to lack of international support for Hulu+, so no need for support on a non-US device.
Anyone have any thoughts on getting Hulu+ on the device with this (or presumably any other i9100 ROMs)?
Would it simply be a matter of tracking down a current Hulu+ .apk and installing it? Or will Hulu not play nice if it thinks I'm on an unsupported device?
Would a relatively simple edit to build.prop fix the issue? If so, can anyone provide a link to some guidance on what I should tweak in build.prop?
Thanks,
DD
Start by looking at the fingerprint in build.prop

OK, anyone got a stock ROM already downloaded and handy they could copy the fingerprint from the build.prop and post it here?
Any pitfalls associated with just changing that line?
Thanks

Find a titanium backup somewhere on the forum and restore it. It worked for me.

OK. changed fingerprint in the build prop to the one pirateghost provided. fixed permissions, rebooted, cleared market data, and still no hulu+ app.
Time for some more research...

I forgot whom I got these files from on here, but all you need to do is download and extract the attached file to your TitaniumBackup folder then restore using App+Data. That should do it.

Thanks Magn2o, appreciate the upload! at least this will get me up and running until I can sort out the market to keep it updated!
Edit: file installed fine, let me log in. won't stream video, claims the device is unsupported. back to monkeying with build prop again...

I was looking on the web for some kind of kdz file extraction and re-zip tool that could help with inserting the root file AND possibly the V20B bootloader unlock function for all of our L9 variants. Being a P769 user I would definitely gravity to using our phone first! But I found this link in android and it shows you how to extract a kdz via LG UPTESTEX MOD. Sound familiar, well it should because that's what we use to offline flash our phones. So it's saying that we can extract, modify then merge the files back INTO A KDZ for flashing. If this is true then we can manipulate the ROM! but I'm no devy so I can't so do. Here is the link for anyone curious about it:
Oh my apologies if I didn't put this in the right forum. I always wan to place things in the general forum so that I get maximum eyeage. But I placed it here for dev's to see.
Thanks for sharing! I hope the devs here can use this to their advantage!

Maybe we can load up cyanogenmod with the stock kernel a-la 2nd init with this method. THANKS
Well nice thought, but I think it wont work. I think so for a simple reason. We already tried that over at the p970 forum. I dont really remember of the dev who tried it, but it was either navossoc or xonar, if I remember correctly. He said something like, it s possible to extract the bin files, but he receives some nonsense code and doesnt know, how to interpret and put them back together. If you need the source, pm me please and I ll look it up

Here are some themes I have acquired over the past week or so since getting my Lg p-769 I figured I would share. These are some pretty cool ones (IMO). Let me know what you think! My personal favorites would have to be miui or prada! I did not create any of these themes just passing them on. Now as far as I know you MUST be rooted to use these themes. You must also have es file explorer or similar program with copy/cut capabilities. Now what you need to do is download the files. BEFORE installing you must enter your file explorer program. Find where you downloaded these files and copy or cut them. Now go to /device with the file explorer. Find the folder called "system". Once you find this folder open it and look for another file call "app". You must find the folder called "app" do not confuse it with the folder called "apps". Now open the folder "app". Upon opening the folder paste the downloaded files in this folder. Now click on each one and install. That is all there is to it! Now under settings/themes they will be there! Be advised just downloading and installing will not work! You must follow the above method or it will not work! Make sure you grant your file program Superuser access or you will receive a error when trying to paste to the "app" folder. Enjoy! :good:

works like a charm in Indian version L9 P765
Post pictures if possible
Thank you! My phone is the p769 version 20h I think it is. Anyways... followed your instructions but it didn't work for me. I had to install the themes FIRST and then copied them to system/app folder. Worked perfectly after that.
p769-rooted-locked bootloader-taptatalk
Followed steps to no success.I kept getting error msg "permissions denied". Lookout said it was a malicious file and prompted me to delete.so I continued this process 5-10 times with no luck.So by chance I just installed without copy paste to system app's and now Worked flawlessly. I only had to download and install.

Thanks I have that app. I think you were the one to suggest it last time I posted a question
Can you tell me where the debug section is I can't find it. I only can find the logs which when I go to last kernel log it says no such file or directory.

That's where it would be....in logs.
So you have issues elsewhere inside your kernel. My suggestion would be to rebuild it again

Ok thanks I'll try and rebuild it from stock and then add everything 1 by 1 and see what breaks it if the stock one works

Hello all. I recently rooted and installed xposed, but did not notice that there was no need for the second screen fix zip. I flashed it, and it replaced my lgcontact and Lg Incallui apks with deoxed ones. My contacts forced closed, understandably. I managed to find the apk of contacts and set permissions. I got it working. However, the Lg Incallui not so much. I've tried a few different versions unsuccessfully. If someone is able to pull it directly from their system I'd greatly appreciate the help. Even if they happens, will it fix the problem, or am I stuck with this until I reflash the .tot? Thank you in advance for any help and input you have.

No one has a LgInCallUi.apk they can take out and copy from their system? The one without the second screen fix mod?
Sent from my LG-H901 using XDA-Developers mobile app
you didnt mention the rom you're using. reflash the rom. use the latest xposed. there's no need for the 2nd screen fix with the latest version of xposed.
I'm just on stock rooted. I flashed no Rom. I used LG UP to root. I unlocked my bootloader a while ago, so I just the .tot and flashed SuperSU and I had root. Unfortunately I was not aware of not needing the flash for the second screen at the time. I just need that one file. I've scoured the net, but can't find that original apk.

Not flashable but it includes the oat files in case you need them too.

You are awesome, thank you so much for the help! Unfortunately I'm still getting the "call has stopped working"at startup. I guess that wasn't the problem, but now I have no idea what the issue is. Thank you so much for the help. Not sarcasm,i really appreciate you coming through!

Dirty flashed a stock Rom.
"Unfortunately, Call has stopped"
Any ideas? All necessary files are present and accounted for, and that was even without xposed.

Start from scratch...
Use this to root again. ( I'm sure you're familiar with it).
I flashed this SuperSU (you can use whatever version you would like)
Flash this version of xposed.
You shouldnt have any issues. And theres no need for a 2nd screen fix with the latest xposed.

Yup, ended up starting from scratch. Fixed everything. Then I used Amplify to kill some wakelocks and it ended up crashing Google Play Services. What luck. I just took off that module and this thing is running like a champ. Thanks for the help.
