So i have a sprint lg g3 its not exaclty bricked but i pretty much nuked it. Has a never ending pop up window that says unfortunately com.android.phone has stopped working or something along those lines. I did make a nandroid right after rooting but being a noob i made a v 3.0 READ ONLY backup that i now cant even use. Wont boot it... So im stuck. I did a normal wipe and got reseted back to factory with the pop up still popping up!!!!!:crying: so i seriously dont know what to do i dont care if i loose root i just want my phone back its my second time soft bricking a phone i am bummed right now.
What i did to nuke it was i obviously overwrote some working sprint network files with some verizon files. Something called node.db and journal idk but it seemed too easy to be true i shouldnt had done it. I wish i could load my nandroid i made i wouodnt had made it if i knew i want gonna be able to load from it lits like 5 or 6 gigs what is the point.. I did not know it wasnt going to load i am so upset...

hey guys thanks for any help. here is my problem.
i got an s3 i9300T to fix for sister in law. she apparently went in to telstra and got told that if it was her fault she would have ot pay for the repairs and she needed a phone while its away so she just payed of the contract. not sure what she exactly wants except for her data back.
upon taking a quick look it had a familiar screen. the computer triangle phone screen. im like sweet easy fix with an odin flash.
i installed a 4.0.4 version of telstra software(will look what one later) and it magically booted im like sweet. then encounter the sim lock. had to wait a day for the information so i left it over night on charge. (she wanted her contacts as well apparently but at the time i didn't know what she wanted really and i didnt just think to take out the sim.) ended up asking what she exeactly was wanting and phone was looking fine. tryed to update through kies and apparetly wasnt not able to be done on that android version. i left it another day and noticed that it was stuck on that boot logo/splash screen. i noticed i can still get in to recovery and download so i tryed to reflash same software. unsuccessful half way i tryed to use a 4.1.2 version that would not get pasts a tz** (replace starts with letters i cant remember atm) i suggested to just keep in on wanrrenty as odin hasnt counted anything yet. but they seam more for data recovery. should i try something iive tryed again or not tryed. or just try flashing recovery and trying to get the data off that way?
as i cant access stock recovery atm and its back to the computer triangle?
i know i dragged on sorry hope i explained correctly.
sorry fail to understand the post and your problem.
If its SDS you cannot recover data but you can fix with a new motherboard .
as far as i can tell i cant get the device too boot or accept new firmware, and it looks to be the sds problem but im not sure.. i think ill try and install a custom recovery and see if i cant mount it and get the data back.

So I made an account, sorry for bringing my confused self on this website once again. Anyway (i'm so clueless I'm sorry). It keeps telling me to flash stuff but rip idk how to do that; i dont have any back up or recovery or TWRP or usb debugging on or anything at all ever; just assume I am completely unprepared-which i am. Literally i installed the app and pressed root and that's it. Also it says i need to backup. What am I backing up? And can i get my pictures/music/important files from my phone (internal storage)? Tbh thats all i really care about, I could always just buy a new phone (the sprint store/repair store should be able to reset my g3 phone back to stock right). I keep apologizing but I am sorry for bothering you guys (i would be annoyed if i were in your shoes). Like I said, i'm never doing this again, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
...well to start this off I pretty much simply put have my phone stuck in a bootloop without recovery that I know of. I a noob when it comes to android and had my phone rooted for the last few months when a few days ago my phone somehow got stuck in a bootloop and the only think I can seem to do it go to the factory reset screen where when selecting to erase all it quickly follow to going bakc to the hellish bootloop. If someone could help me out that would be so much appreciated as I need to be able to use my phone here soon for important matters. remember im a noob but I can follow directions! Thank you
i got bootlooped after marshmallow update. thats all it took. tried everything to fix, nothing worked. managed to boot in a freezer though, so you can try that to retrieve your files. i shipped it to LG, theyve been trying to fix it for two weeks now... but youre rooted so i guess your warranty is gone.
Hello XDA,
It's been awhile since I've made a post, but I'm very unsure about what I'm trying to do.
I have a T-Mobile HTC One S, about 4 years old, that has a damaged display, but I am trying to do a backup to pull out photos and whatnot that I had on the phone before I broke it.
My question is, is there a way for me to do a backup of the whole Android OS and whatever file there is on the phone to emulate it on my Windows PC?
Now for what I've done so far with a bit of back story. The phone broke about 4 years ago when I dropped it and damaged the display and I never got around to fixing it or trying to do a blind backup through the recovery until a few days ago.
I had a friend replace the screen and the phone booted up, except it was soft bricked and was stuck at the splash screen. I was able to get into the recovery and tried to mount the phone to my computer, but it wouldn't let me and I've forgotten what the error message was.
My problem now, is that I've dropped the phone again and the display is broken yet again, but I was curious if I could extract every single file out of the phone and use an emulator so that I can try and get back into it.
Thank you
Edit: I forgot to mention that the phone is rooted. I don't remember what ROM I used, but the phone does have clockwork mod recovery. My big thing is wanting to know what commands to use to create a backup from adb and what directories to point it at.
This would only be possible with a custom recovery. If you don't have one (and I would assume you don't since you did not mention it already), then there's nothing you can do to recover data as the method to install the custom recovery involves 1) being able to see the display to do some things 2) wipes the phone.
It's using a very old version of clockword mod for recovery. I did forget to mention that the phone is rooted though, and I'll make sure to add this tidbit into the original post.
You might be able to use a tool like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2339530 then.
hi guys, first excuse my English, is not my native language and im trying my best, i was reading since a couple of days ago, all about restoring a bricked p smart, my story is the next, mi mom gives me for birthday a huawey p smart fig-lx3, i really like a lot, i decided to root it and make a backup, so i buy a new micro sd card, read the instructions posted here and, carefully go step by step, unlock boot loader, install twrp, make a full system backup, the next day the cell was everything ok, i downloaded some apk, suddenly some installers of it just disappear, i though maybe i deleted it by mistake, installed some of it, then reboot the cell phone... and hangs it in the screen after boot... and was all in slow motion, so i though i made something wrong, so i enter twrp and restore it with my previously made backup, just after flash it, i saw NO OS INSTALLED do you want to reboot? i just freaked out a little but i have no option, so, reboot. and in the screen just appears a blue and red squares and then the white dead screen where says needs to update again... i flash it all, all partitions, i really freaked out bad time, you know, im in third world, this phone is expensive here, mi mom its gonna pay for it for months, im kind of ashamed, sad and mad with myself, i have almost no sleeped in 3 days looking for a solution, im giving up, i read about the KANGVIP rom but cant make it works, i really appreciate if some of you can give me a hint on going thru this,i know actually the micro sd was a damaged one maybe a fake kingstone, and that was the source of the hang and corrupted backup. thank you for taking the time for reading my long story. (the cell have twrp figo 321 and enter fasboot mode with no problem)
