So when I set my phone face down it is obviously lopsided..wobbles corner to corner. My wife's g5 also does it but not a bad
Anyone else? Take a second and try it
I'll note4th that my lg g3, nexus 6 and nexus 5x also did this..so not sure what causes it

Nope. Mine is perfectly flat.

mine is also perfectly flat. maybe it's your surface?
Mine wobble. Apply a little twists and it is flat. Not surprising for a thin phone with metal frame.
Gave the phone a twist . it still wobbles but not as bad

It's a trick to get you to scratch your shiny new phone
Nice and flat here fyi performed said request on a sheet of paper as to not scratch screen. Wait maybe the paper wasn't equally as thin across more test to come. Lol happy Friday.
Mine has a wobble too. Everything else works great , though. I'll take my chances with the wobble rather than getting a replacement with something worse.
Sorry, I simply can't put it down.
But no, mine seems to set flat (this is with the pre-applied screen protector on the T-Mo variant).
Nope it's flat
Sent from my LG-H820 using XDA-Developers mobile app
mines has a slight wobble too.. ..like if u just try to press one side it seems as if its flat. but when it is flat if u kind of try to rock it from side to side pushing down it wobbles a bit ..
like if one top left corner and bottom right corner are only touching the surface i have it on
Maybe your table isn't as flat? Mine's lying dead flat down!

Was getting out of the car today and had my phone sitting in my lap and it fell to the ground and landed on the bottom left corner and proceeded to tumble across the parking lot all the while managing to dodge some puddle of who knows what. I picked it up and to my amazement just a scratch on the outer corner no cracked screen. I am amazed at how sturdy this phone seems to be. That fall would have shattered my old iPhones screen. I love this freaking phone!

Yup, most of the drops that I've had are just minor nicks on the corner but thats about it! I can't even take a picture of it because you don't notice it until you get really close to it...
I would assume it has to do with the fact that the phone is so light

You got lucky, get a case. We have the casemate with the kick stand at my store and it is awesome.
Ive also dropped my phone and was so scared to turn it around, only to find nothing happened to it

I had that case. It's alright... The rubber bumpers started wearing off from rubbing my jeans. Since then I've switched to the otterbox and never looked back.
Honestly I only ever used the kickstand once - when playing with the new case for the first time.

Yeah i have that case but didn't enjoy walking around with a brick in my pocket. I understand the benefits of it outweigh the cons of the size but, it flat out uncomfortable

Mine fell about 5 feet onto a tile floor day after I put my Taurus bumper on. Not a scratch on the phone or bumper.
When I first got my i777, I was so scared to even touch it, it was my first nice phone other than a Palm Pre, but this is a super phone. Saw very little use until screen protector and case arrived.
It's my baby.
I did something similar fell onto parking lot bounced and hit the under carriage of my car then back to the ground again. No case or screen protector or anything. Lucky and the phone is indeed durable. It got a few scratches along the outer edges and corners but everything still works and the screen still looks great. Almost couldn't believe the screen didn't crack

Went to the gym and was running on the treadmill listening to Pandora. Next thing I know ....phone is face down and I was flipping out haha. After a 7 mph sling across the room hitting another weight machine...everything's fine. Thank you otter box

Mine dropped while I was trying to put it in my pocket, the corner hit the ground then the screen. I expected the screen would have a lot of scratch but when I picked it up, the outer edge corner damaged and the screen have a very little scratch near the Samsung Logo. Never thought it only has those damage while my old captivate scratch by putting it with a business card in my pocket. I sold my S2 to my brother for 300 and get the international one but still miss the ATT S2. It was the best phone I've ever had, It has nothing that I could complain about. Will get another one next week because the International never gave me the same experience the ATT version did.
I will use my phone without a case. This thing has passed the thoughness test. It has fallen so many times I lost count.
It has a few scratches but the screen is in perfect condition even though it has fallen screen first a few times

So I'm at the gym today and I forgot my armband at home. I decide my HTC One will be fine in it's HTC flip case with no screen protector.
At the Golds there is a upper level with treadmills and a little bit of walk space behind the treadmill. The all behind the treadmill is actually glass inclosing the indoor pool. The floor also has a gap between it and the glass wall which things like phones can easily fall down. ...
So I am on the treadmill. I have the phone in case on the little ledge that can hold a water bottle, keys, etc... I have my music playing through headphones. Coming up to the end of my run I always bring it up to speed 9 for a minute. Well as I'm sprinting the headphone cord gets in the path of my right arm and yep as I pull back. So comes the phone.
Fall 1--- From the treadmill ledge to the belt going at speed 9.. as it falls and the case and headphones and phone depart from my possetion.
Fall 2--- the speed of the moving treadmill launches the phone off the treadmill to the glass wall behind me.
Fall 3 --- bounce from the glass to the ledge
Fall 4--- ( should have ended this phones life ) falls then from the ledge down tto the second floor hardwood were people are walking.
So I tell myself .. well that's the end of this phone. .. I come back up from bending over to pick up the case after the treadmill has stopped. I realize everyone in the pool is now looking up at me like what the help was that loud bang into the glass. A guy from downstairs is yelling at me saying YO it's down here !
As I take my walk if shame with the whole gym looking at me. A woman is walking towards me with my uncased phone it her palms like she was holding out a lifeless thing. She actually had the look in her eyes that she felt bad for me.
I take it from her and press the power button...
The screen came on ! No cracks not a scratch on the screen. !! I gave it a quick look over and the people downstairs were like "wow. You are lucky".
I plug my headphones in and get back on the treadmill to hide my embarrassment. I'm now looking at it in my car and there is one small scuff on the aluminum Shi y bezel that stands out. Otherwise there is nothing wrong with it.
Of course I will have to check to ensure it's charging still and the ir blaster still works.
But either I'm super lucky ... Or this phone is nearly indestructable....

HTC quality right there
Yea this phone is quite indestructible for a premium built device. I also dropped mine on my treadmill at home although I wasn't at that high of a speed, and yesterday I dropped it on the floor at Best Buy while looking at headphones. All this without a case on. Not one scratch or mark anywhere on the phone. I do have a screen protector on it.
I thought the treadmill drop would have done it in for sure.

Curious if anyone else has this gap??? I'm not a machinist but if you look at my GS5 laying flat on the table you can see a noticeable gap between the screen and the silver trim on the left. Now aesthetically I couldnt care less, but im wondering if this will affect the dust and water resistance... to prove I wasnt imagining things i tried to slide a business card in between the glass and the trim and it fit, when i tried the other side there was no gap. Is this normal and would my phone still be IP certified as water resistant? Just bought it yesterday so if its an issue id like to get it resolved. I have youtubed a teardown of the phone and it looks like the screen is glued down to the lip underneath the silver trim to lock out water. So if mine is flexed or bowed out Im doubting if it is sealed properly. Thanks
Andrew
I don't see any significant gap on the right side; it's the same on both sides.
Why won't you visit a local T-Mobile store if you have one nearby and compare your phone to the ones display?

I will eventually get to one to check it out but its going to be a few days, in the mean time if I could eliminate it as a concern before than it would help me eliminate the trip! Thanks for the reply!
Hi guys, can you check your HAM2 on the corner chrome bezel edge, it appears to have a straight crack or separation on all 4 corners, is this normal? Or it is really like this that the chrome 4 corners bezel has a separation on it?
I see it too!

Wow, I never noticed this! Probably because I have a case, but it doesn't cover the entire phone anyway.
For those wondering, the chrome-looking band around the phone seems to be made up of 4 pieces, 1 for each side of the phone.
So funny I mentioned crack, because the darn thing is irregular and not stright at all. It appears that it cracked. May be they cut it manually because labor in china is cheaper compare to buying a machine and cost of electricity?
Well, our phone has a pretty cheap price, so it should be excepted to see some "bad" things!
I would say that they are from the molding process of that particular piece of the phone. I don't think they are cracks.
I imagine every phone is like that based on everyone saying they see the same thing. I have them on mine as well. Nothing to worry about.
FYI had Trident case with tempered glass screen protector. Jaws of life to remove this last time severely cracked screen protector phone was bent 5 to 10 degrees. Reshaped the phone and 0 damage 100% intact. Flexible chassis and display makes for greatness. Wipes brow ...

was going to say 'nope, none here' - but upon real close inspection there is a very unnoticeable separation around each corner.
I've had mine in the orig HW case since day one. Did drop it off a cooler onto river rock (poolside) last month and it ended up face down on the pebble rock, front cover laying flat out. In fact the whole phone separated from the back cover
I was nervous when I saw it, but picked it up and the screen was not damaged :fingers-crossed: Just now saw a small chip out of the upper right corner that probably happened that day.
So far, I'm impressed for the money spent.
I am sitting at work at my desk and I have my phone screen up, I get a couple texts and I DT2W so I can see who they are from. As I do that my phone teters, I notice it immediately and pick it up to see if there was anything under it, nope all smooth, so then I think it's maybe the case wasn't formed evenly (Supcase) so I take the phone out and put the case on the desk, no wobble. So then I lay the phone down and sure enough it wobbles when tapping a corner. It's not bent like you see when people keep their phone in their back pocket and sit on it. Mine is more twisted. When looking at the phone, the top left and bottom right will sit on the table and not wobble, but if you press either the top right or bottom left the phone will wobble back and forth.
I keep my phone in my front pocket and take it out when sitting down,I do sometimes keep it in my pocket when working in attics and such and I have crushed it pretty good when doing so. It's not a major twist and you can't tell when just looking or holding the phone, hopefully it doesn't get any worse.
Anyone else notice this on their phones?
I gave it a firm twist the opposite way and it seems pretty straight now. Maybe even a little bent the opposite way now, dammit haha.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
That's wild! Amazing you were able to twist it back ok....
Mine does the same thing whenever I remove my case to clean out the pocket lint. Removing the case puts a lot of stress on the corners and twists it, but it usually goes back to normal after waiting a day or two, or if I twist it back.

I always remove the left side (opposite of the buttons) first, then install the case right side (buttons side) first to avoid putting stress on the buttons. It doesn't bend badly, just enough to wobble when on the table. It almost always sorts itself out after about a day or so.
Mine is currently flat too, until I remove the case for cleaning again...
I guess mine could be from the case too. It is pretty hard to get in and out.
Mines flat for the time being. But now that I've seen it bend I think I will catch myself checking every so often now.

Great looking phone but it just the shear size and thickness of the phone I think. The Pixel XL is smaller.
