I got this amazing phone about a month ago. Since then I am stuck with MIUI 7.1.3.0 (EU version) and no updates. I really thought that Xiaomi are good at ROM support, but I can only see they update the Chinese version. Will they ever release updated global version of 7.2?
I even doubt that they will release Android 6.0 on Redmi 3. What do you think?

just don't wait this to happen soon
first they will update the flagships (mi4/mi5/mi note) then the redmi's phones
if you want regular (every week) updates then you must have a dev rom , this rom updates every week , the stable , obviously, needs more time
Your MIUI 7.1.3.0 (EU version) is not official ROM, your seller just flashed some custom build for you. Xiaomi has not released Global ROM for Redmi 3 at all. And when Xiaomi will release Global ROM you will need to flash it manually, it wont get OTA update since your current ROM is not official.

I bought it from HonorBuy. But this is not the cheapest place you can find it. I chose it because they ship from EU and there is no bothering with customs.

Hi a while ago I've imported a redmi note 3 pro from China to Canada. Everything else is working fine but I've had this for a month already and the updater app tells me that I have no new OTA updates which is rather weird, since we're supposed to get miui updates very often. Do u guys know why it's happening? Is it die to a locked bootloader or the wifi here in Canada doesn't work well with the Chinese servers? By the way I also tried to flash a ROM from the miui website for this device but it didn't work either so please help
What's your firmware version? You might have a reseller firmware, in that case you would have to flash the fastboot rom
Hello, i am new to Xiaomi phones.
I will recieve my Redmi 3s in few days and i was wondering which rom to flash when i get it?
My girlfriend will use the phone so i cant mess around with it after i give it to her. If i install Stable EU version, will she recieve OTA updates?

First of all: this is not Redmi 3S forum. I think Global Stable will be the best. It has OTA updates and multiple languages.
I'm trying to unlock my redmi note 4 Snapdragon set. I can't seem to get it to go through. I bought a new model and it came with android N already installed as its global version. It was bought from a reputable store and was sealed at time of purchase so it is the official ROM. I was able to change to the newest dev ROM, but I think my chances would be better on an older ROM. Does anyone have a link to the MM dev ROM? I can't seem to find it.
Hello, i just bought Xioami mi pad 4 for 150eur in europe, i have been told that its from England.. I tried to verify authetification on xioami site, but it says
"Thank you for choosing Xiaomi!
However, the device you purchased is not an official global version and user experience may be affected. Next time, please purchase the official global version of the device through officially authorized channels."
Can anyone explain what this means? I heavily use tablet for 2 days, and everything is great. Just curious about message..
Also can someonw tell me if ita instaled last version of system?

Mi Pad 4/Plus hasn't Global version. Only China version with xiaomi.eu like ROM.
Many China sellers use fake global MIUI as base system for sold devices. They unlock bootloader and install own rom. You can find some old posts about it and hints to replace this fake rom with any other custom rom or original MIUI. Maybe you have this rom in your tablet.
Xiaomi never offered this mi pad 4 official outside of China.

Currently 2 versions: CN and IN.
There are stock roms for the CN version but no Indian roms (maybe too soon).
Exactly the same phone except the bands depending on the region.
It seems to me that Xiaomi does not plan to sell it in markets other than China and India.
In this case, there will never be a global version.
It is on sale in Indian version on Amazon.in, not sure that he can send it elsewhere than in India.
Maybe Xioami Eu rom will provide roms for this phone.
The pro version will exist in a global version but unfortunately with a Mediatek soc.

The redmi note 12 is the continuation of the 11 and the 11 exists in a global version. When? for the 13 (CN presentation December 1 and the global version presentation February 27).
Never installed IN rom but the Indonesian has multi language.
