If your device is already encrypted, you will just have to flash the modified boot.img, and boot. No need to wipe userdata in that case.

Format userdata and cache partition via fastboot. Once you've booted the system for the first time you have to wipe these partitions.

yes I believe you will need to wipe userdata via fastboot.
i flashed mod boot img, flash twrp, reboot reboot bootloader, format userdata, went into twrp just fine. its tricky sometimes its just a matter of trial and error ya know, sucks but thats what this N preview has taught me lol

Anyway early here, tomorrow, I will upload a zip to reverse this but you are still going to have to flash the boot.img before your tablet can boot.
From power off press and hold volume down plus power, when you see next book release power keep holding volume down.
Use fastboot to flash boot.img.
Or during bootloop type adb reboot bootloader then flash boot.img

Open this zip and flash recovery and boot.img via fastboot, then boot into recovery format system, data, cache then install, it will take sometime to install when done it will tell you to reboot system.
on new install it can take 10 minutes or so for first boot.

How long are you giving tablet to boot? needs at least 10 minutes on first boot.

This link is broken.
I wanted the new update so that I could move my apps to my SD card. I also wanted TWRP.
I followed this guide to install TWRP.
TWRP was successfully flashed. So I try to boot into it using 'fastboot boot recovery.img' to boot into it.
I get the 'ERROR: Remote DTB not found' message. So booting into recovery using fastboot doesn't work.
I try booting into recovery manually (volume down + power). That doesn't work either. It freezes up at the OnePlus logo.
So, since TWRP isn't working, I flash stock recovery. That worked fine, and booted into it successfully (manually).
I boot into stock recovery and followed this guide to try updating manually using stock recovery. Of course, the update fails.
I then try flashing the full dump here. I factory reset, then flashed the full dump.
"Update successful."
Now, it refuses to boot into system AND recovery.
Okay, I'll just reflash stock recovery?
ERROR: Remote DTB not found
Booting into recovery manually freezes up too, just like TWRP did earlier.
Is there something I'm doing wrong to get this error? Google tells me dtb errors are caused by corrupt IMGs, but I downloaded all the IMGs twice and from all available mirrors to try them out. I see that some other users in the OnePlus forums and in XDA are having the same problems when flashing TWRP.
I really just need to be able to boot into at least one recovery so I can flash a system dump again.
I am not sure if this is the cause of the problem, but I've noticed most OnePlus X users have the E1003 model, while I am using a E1005.
Any help is appreciated.

I followed this guide to install TWRP. Like a few others in the thread, I had the problem that when I try to boot manually into recovery, the screen shows the OnePlus logo with the android logo. Then the android logo disappears, and no matter how long I hold the down button while booting, the screen freezes at the OnePlus logo.
Fine, I'll just use fastboot boot recovery.img .
Nope, I get the 'ERROR: Remote DTB not found' message. Still stuck on the fastboot screen.
Great, I'll just flash stock recovery. Cool, it worked.

ERROR: Remote DTB not found
Booting into recovery manually gives me the same results as flashing TWRP did earlier. So now, I can neither flash stock recovery nor TWRP to install any OxygenOS.

Well, pressing volume up + power actually takes me to bootloader mode.
Volume down + power, on the other hand, shows the OnePlus logo and the Android logo for a split second. Then the android logo disappears, the OnePlus logo stays, and it freezes there.
In case my post wasn't very clear, the same thing happens even if I don't attempt to boot into recovery (as in, it does the same thing if I just press the power button to boot into the system).

Tried all of these steps on two other PCs already, on both Windows 8 and Windows 7. It's not a driver issue or OS issue.

You can boot to stock.img?
I have the same dtb error when I try any twrp image I have attempted to flash...exactly like your issue, but stock works fine.
If you can get into stock you can flash the full rom zip of 2.1.2 and then flash the ota to 2.1.3 after.
You have to flash the full zip first.

Originally, I could boot to the stock recovery. However after flashing that full 2.1.3 dump that I linked to, I can't boot to system or recovery. Flashing stock recovery now gives me the same remote:dtb not found error.
i have the same problem
i can't get into adb but can get into fastboot
Pre requisites:
Unlocked bootloader
adb tools installed, I used These
The dirty:
Download the latest TWRP(3.0.2-1) Here
Download the latest SuperSU Beta Here I used 2.76-2 (for systemless root)
Put your phone in Bootloader mode (VolDown+Power)
Connect phone to your PC
Via ADB, and type fastboot flash recovery <path>/twrp-3.0.2-1-angler.img
- If you do not want to flash it permanently, just "fastboot boot <path>/twrp-3.0.2.1-angler.img".
- Also, if you flashed it, and you want to go back to stock recovery, you'll have to wait *for now* until the NRD90M factory image is uploaded to https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images, then it can just be extracted and fastboot flash'd...
Select boot recovery from the little menu
It will ask for your pass/pin, enter to access. The new TWRP allows you to.
Once inside, proceed to install the SuperSU zip you downloaded in step 2.
Thanks!
Can you decrypt phone using this method? I have crypted 7.0 phone with root but lost TWRP when update crypted all the data. Would be quite nice to have it decrypted without wiping data.

You won't lose your data, I didn't lose mine.
TWRP comes and decrypts on the fly, because your password/pin matches the one you set up on the OS; after allowing it to decrypt, you can flash whatever you want.
The decryption is not permanent, meaning your phone will still be crypted, as in; no one will decrypt your data unless you give them the access.

1. You have to unlock the bootloader, which wipes your data.
2. You have to choose wether you want to be encrypted or not, if you do not want an encrypted device you can follow the other guide in the topics list.
3. If you do choose to go encryped, boot once, setup your pass/pin
4. Reboot back to bootloader, install TWRP
5. Boot to Recovery (twrp), input your pass/pin setup on step 3
6. flash SU via TWRP.

Hello gentlemen
My phone honor 5x was android 5.1.1 once I installed one of the files downloaded by zapiya in file manager.after that I noticed my internet was consumed rapidly.I checked the data usage that belonged to Google back up transport
After searching more I found it was Google service and also consumption of chrome was more than usually.the problem was not solved at all that I disabled the google services.after that I installed android 6.0.1 but the problem continued the only solution was disabling services.I updated and even flashed my phone by 3 butten but nothing was changed.a few days ago I installed a software again that it was ruined too.it asked me to activate Google play after activating the disabling light was inactive and I could not disabled it at all.
I did everything like update google services and reset factory but did not work. Today I unlocked my phone and wipe all partions with twrp and install rom with trwp but couldn't disable google sevice.the problem is critical.my battery is consumed rapidly as well as my internet.now the only way is to root with emui and disable Google softwares.in custom rom like aokp with google patch there is no problem with Google softwares when I get back to emui the problem comes up.when I get back to emui from custom roms I can disable it easily the Google service.I diactive all the automatic back ups background data and roaming data but the problem exists.because services is system apps and cant disable it for wifi.
I want to have emui with google services apps
Thanks for or help

Download your phone specific stock firmware. Look at the file depot thread you may find it there. Using Huawei Update Extractor, extract the images and flash them using fastboot.

if he had TWR he can flash directly without using adb much safer ! ..

Hello everyone! I'm new on XDA and this is my first thread.
So, I've been messing around with my Honor 7 lately. I've flashed a custom recovery (TWRP), flashed a custom ROM (Unofficial CM13 for Honor 7: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7/development/unsupported-cyanogenmod-13-honor-7-plk-t3542627) and root (SuperSU) and I've started to regret all of my decisions so I would like to take a fresh start (AKA flashing the STOCK ROM/Firmware)
Now, before anyone starts redirecting me to other (similar) threads, I've tried a lot. I tried to flash the stock recovery (a lot of different versions) but still when I try to boot into the stock recovery, my phone just reboots. I tried to do the force update thing (holding both power + & - buttons: http://www.gogorapid.com/flash-stock-rom-huawei-honor-7/), but this combination just boots my phone into TWRP. Could it be that I'm doing something wrong or that I'm missing something, like some requirements that are not being met? Please help me, I would appreciate it a lot! Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply!
Could it be? I booted my phone into bootloader (unlocked) and flashed stock recovery with adb using the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img". I tried a variety of versions (from B100 up to B330 I think), but none of them seemed to work. What am I doing wrong?

Grab the stock recovery file for your device. You can flash inside TWRP itself.

I tried that, read my second post on this thread. It didn't work, I didn't know which version I had to use. I ended up with a bootloop on various versions as mentioned in one of my first posts.

I planned on doing this though I don't know where I can get the firmware for my H7... Could you perhaps provide me a link? It would be very kind of you (+ The wifi here sucks, so I will try downloading firmwares when I get home)
