I own a samsung galaxy s3 i9300. My imei is changed from the imei on the back of the s3. My problem is that my Edge (2G) is working but when i switch to WCDMA Mode or Auto mode it stop working and 3g doesn't work and it says Emergency Calls Only. Please help as i am going to another city tomorrow so i need to use 3g for my work. Please Help.

Which android version is currently in it?
I installed every rom from stock to nameless marshmallow but the problem remains there. Now I am on stock touchwiz. Thank you for the reply.

Try to flash stock efs again or take internet settings from your customer service:good:

Try twrp recovery or remove .bak from file and try :good:

You tried the efs backup. Would you flashed it yet or net.

The new problem is that my 3g keeps on changing from H to H+ then 3g.

I have recently rooted my I9300 but i can't seem too register onto a network, all i keep getting is an "unable to connect" message
I have checked all the apn setting and they seem fine. I have tried a few different sims but no matter what sim network i try i get the same result "unable to connect"
Any advice would be appreciated.
Did you do repair imei before , this issue happen after flash a rom

Hmmmm....is this a problem that has existed for a while, if not it might be worth checking with your provider, also have you checked your imei?

The internet is working on the phone now but still no text or phone calls. Any ideas? When i try and make a call i get "not registered on a network" ?

Tried another sim card in that i know is working but still the same problem
I installed cm7 and my carrier could not be found so i used odin to restore it but still cannot find my carrier ..

go to Settings-> wireless and networks-> mobile networks ->Access point->click the left button of ur phone then press reset to default

tried it didnt help
I think your IMEI is lost.Check your IMEI. If there then its your carrier problem if its not then restore via HEX EDITOR. Your network will be start.

i checked my IMEI it's there and checked my sim card on another phone works perfectly fine ... could you kindly link me instructions as to how i could restore the carrier ?
Try full format your phone. If not work, then its your phone's hardware problem.

This is because your version of baseband.
Flash the stock again.
And try delete a LIBS of your custom Rom and copy the LIBS of your Rom.

How would i copy the LIBS ?? and btw i flashed a rom of australia[open}
so i presume its not carrier locked

I can guess the reason why people don't respond to your problem. The methods available to restore the IMEI are illegal as you can also use them to change the IMEI. My advice is to take your phone for repair.

That sounds great as I was going to mention about flashing the modem by itself..but I was not sure if it would correct the problem or not.

I have also lost efs files and imei and signal are not showing in my galaxy mega i9200.
I upgrade to megafire from youtube video and got the megafires from this site.
but my signal ar noth showing. it saying

My Mega6.3 GT-I9200 [XXUAMED] XSG BOUGHT IT FROM UAE...
In March 18 OTA Update it got in to some Problem.[Boot loop]
I was not rooted. No EFS backup..
Then I tried to Flash My Stock ROM..with Odin3.09 it flashed well..
but showing BASEBAND UNKNOWN with NULL ...IMEI Number...
I tried all updates of [XSG-region] but same thing Happened....
Then I approched service Centre....[Private]
They have done it with BASEBAND Version : I9200XXUCML1 with 4.2.2
KERNEL VERSION : 3.4.0

Now I am getting only EDGE/GPRS....

I am having one BSNL SIM and AIRCEL sim
While selecting Network Opertors it is not showing any of the service provider.
Then I will do search networks
it will start searching nothing will comeout.
sometimes willl show Cellone,IDEa,airtel
If I am putting BSNL Sim ...sometimes it will not registering on the network.
sometimes it will register...then I can make outgoing call...but Incoming I am not getting....its getting forwarded...
aircel is not at all showing for selecting...
Help me.....

I think now you can install TeamWin Projects (TWRP). Because it is your own scared about IMEI..

BASEBAND unknown....
Before flashing I made backup with TWRP with EFS,without EFS
and EFS but no one is restoring my EFS.
You may have provided the wrong modem. Flash the one I sent you earlier.

The network problem is still there.
Is there any other way to rectify this.
Actually in my other phone while searching networks
almost all service providers r showing. But in mega
Only 3 r listing. Bsnl,airtel,spice....earlier before the problem starts mega
also was able to show all providers.
Also I want to ask some doubts abt slimkat.
1. While making calls screen goes off. In stock ROM some
option was there to change.
2. While setting wallpaper it will show properly. After some
time the wallpaper will zoom somewhat.
Anything to correct...

Get to a store they will repair ur IMEI BUT, install your firmware STOCK OS OF SAMSUNG THEN ONLY IT WORKS EITHER NOT !
