Helo
I am running latest weekly eu ROM.
My only problem is, that then system goes to sleep Whatsappis not receiving notifications
1. I locked Wahtsapp in memory
2. Set custom power settings not normal for whatsapp
3.Disabled "firewall" at all
And still problem persists.
I must wake up phone, run Whatsapp so I get notifications then.
Any advice ?
I am using latest china dev rom, and have the same issue....

Same.....on china rom here. I just tried turning off MIUI optimization under developer options. Will continue to monitor.

Hi,
I have a Redmi 3 Pro ordered and on the way, so I can't verify this myself yet. But on a Swedish forum (Swedroid) some users had the same issues, and they solved it the following way:
1. Add all permissions you can find for each app that doesn't notify correctly.
2. Go to Security > Permissions > Autostart and allow all the apps that you want to get notifications from.
Try it and see if it works! Cred to Brede @ Swedroid
I'm ok with that, i supposed it's a battery optimization for MIUI, i personally prefer to NOT DEPEND from mobile notifications while i'm on the computer, so i like it
Cheers
PD: i hope it has an optimization and all of you that want to notify everything, can disable this feature
I am now using latest weekly build multirom from xiaomi.eu
It feels a lot better with whatsapp notifications (with same custom power mode, autostart permission, and etc).
Sometime it still get delayed notification but most of the time, I get the notification immediately...
Sent from my Redmi 3 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Go to developer options and scroll all the way down. Turn off miui optimization. And give autostart permission for whatsapp under security settings. I've never missed a notification since.
Hi. can fix that problem. Make - turn off miui optimization
Update: I had missed notifications once in awhile. Ended up turning MIUI optimization back on coz the battery was draining faster when it was off. I'm turning on the pop-up for messages coming in. Read somewhere that it works. We'll see.

U can try allowing google play services to run in background. If that doesn't work, drop MIUI completely and flash cm12.1 with unlocked bootloader.

Just go to developer settings and there is last "miui optimizer" ,turn it off.....and reboot phone ..it works..then u wil get whatsapp push notifications.

Hi, I just bought the redmi note 2 and I like it.
But I have an annoying problem, I don't get notifications for messages and I don't see the new ones until I get into the app( regular messages app and WhatsApp).
It seems in the settings that everything is turn on when it comes to notifications...
Anyone experienced the problem or can help me about it?
Thanks.
ROM ?
I am having the same issue, but it only happens with Whatsapp. Every other app notification is working as it should. A friend of mine with another device also has this problem with Whatsapp.
It's a bug. I had the same problem with WhatsApp. I've now changed to an AOSP-based ROM (Cinafoniaci), and the problem has disappeared.
I use the rom that the phone comes with, miui 7 i think.
I checked and the messenger app works fine, only the whatsapp has this problem, u think i should flash a new rom to fix the problem? if i should which one?
thanks for the quick answers
Did you have enable Autostart for Whatsapp in Security > Permissions > Autostart?
And did you have enable background data for whatsapp in Settings > Additionl Settings > Battery > Manage Battery Apps Usage > Whatsapp? (In Background Network set Stay Connected)

I spent an enourmous amount time on this issue..
The problem is that there is a bug with IPv6
Use an app to disable that or run a script to disable it..
This partially fixes the issue....
The full fix is --- as above --- switch to aosp
Whats the recommended aosp rom to flash? like the most stable and clean?

Hello guys.
I'm having an issue with the notification settings, every time I change the notification tone and vibrate after some minutes it changes back to default.
For example, I selected a different notification tone of the one I have in my general Android settings, and the vibrate changed to Long, but after 5 minutes WhatsApp changes it to the default notification settings.
I've tried to uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp apk and it didn't solved the issue, also have restarted the device just after changing the notification settings.
I had the notification sound on my SD card and the issue happened, then I changed to the device memory and still happening.
All permissions are allowed for the app.
It's the first time it happens to me with any of my devices.
My phone is a HTC 10 unlocked / developer edition, running Android 7.0.
Does anyone have an idea why this is happenning?
Thanks in advance.
I have the same problem on S7 edge.
I use whatsapp beta.
Have you tried uninstalling WhatsApp, restarting the phone and seeing if the problem goes away?

Hi,
I just got a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 recently and am having problems with push notifications for apps such as Whatsapp, Facebook messenger, LINE and so on. I have spent hours trying all the suggestions out there multiple times as to how to fix it but it still doesn't work. This includes:
1: Disable power saving mode.
2: Disable 'destroy activity' function.
3: Check Notification settings
4: Setup notifications for each App in settings.
5: Ensure app has notifications enabled.
6: Enable Autostart
7: Disable data saver and enable dual data on all apps.
8: Commit apps to memory.
9: Customise power saving settings.
Even after doing all this, I am still unable to receive messages and calls from apps in real time. I use another phone of mine to call myself literally 5 seconds after closing the app and still my Xiaomi phone does not register the call until I manually open the app and get a missed call.
Can someone please help me with this. Thanks.
I enabled Autostart for all the messaging apps and apps i need to run in the background and everything is working great for me.
I get calls from whatsapp all the time and everything working great.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I have literally every single app enabled for Autostart just in case but still don't receive anything until I open the app manually. Tried reinstalling the apps and rebooting multiple times too.
With what apps you are having this problem? Me for example I don't have any problem with whatsapp but with Skype sometimes I don't get notifications because miui kills the process in the background which is very annoying.
I hope xiaomi will fix it in miui 9 (if we'll ever get this update on our rn4 anyway).

I tried the steps in this guide and everything is working for me. It was mainly gmail that wasnt notifying of new mails unless I opened the app itself.

It works sometimes for Whatsapp and LINE but only sometimes, which doesn't make any sense. I'll get a notification for a message normally once and then won't get anything for awhile and be bombarded with missed messages when I open the app manually again. Doesn't seem to ever work for Gmail or Facebook messenger.

Welcome to MIUI notification problems...
I sure wish I had of read about these problems before I bought this piece of **** redmi. There literally is nothing that fixes it.
i just moved from Sony to Huawei last week . i got Mate 10 pro
device is nice and battery is great and fast and everything was perfect with me from the first look.
then by installing my daily use apps i noticed some problems are showing and not only me as i sow some users here are complaining it .
it is killing all apps and get no advantage of any app i want it to push a notification and reminder for me .
actually any app i use for reminders and notification are not working perfectly
for example i have tried 3 apps for prayer reminders and non of them worked for a complete day , it works once and the next it gets another delay , and last it gets missed .
also i have a call recorder which is working perfectly on my Xperia Z3 but here it is not recording every single call .
also i have app called BlipBlip for hourly peeping ... same issue .
any to-do app , caller identifier (truecaller,numberbook ....)
i tried to make the Ignore battery optimization
i changed the settings in Launch battery
still no luck
any permanent solution please ?

If you enable Power saving mode then your device automatically kills background applications.
Try by disable power saving mode.
In settings, You will also manage that which apps show notifications and which are not.
All customization of notifications are avaliable in setting e.g. Notification on lock screen, notification on status bar, status bar icon. Hope it helps. Hit Thankx

of course i am not using the power save mode ,
i put the app in the "Ignore battery optimization" list .
i put the app in the manual option in "Launch" and allowed everything to run in background .
i enabled the app in the n"Notification Management" section
what else i can do to prevent the device from killing the app ?
still i have this problem from time to time .
note : yesterday the app worked perfectly and i have got all notification and i thought i have solved the problem finally ,
but today it comes back again and start worry again .

Have you tried by factory data reset?
I mean hard reset through stock recovery.
Be sure to remove your id otherwise you device stick in FRP lock.
Happens for me still with Disa (my facebook and sms messaging app).
It's really ****ty.
This is a hard one for sure! Is it Android or is it Huawei? I think it's a combination of both! We all shouted praise when we first heard of Doze...but now we curse the day we heard of it! LOL
On most of my phones I have had issues with Gmail notifications not coming in as quickly as I thought they should, and I still experience slight delays on my Mate 10 (non-pro) version. However, it seems that after I open Gmail for the first time in the day and get my first notification then it works OK for the rest of the day. My texts, using Textra, always come in right away and I have both apps set up the same way on the phone pertaining to battery, background, and notifications. So Gmail is the harder one to get working as it should. But is it Doze, or is it Huawei and EMUI? Personally, I think it should be left up to one or the other but NOT both! And whichever one implements a battery saving feature should provide CLEAR and CONCISE instructions on making it work the way we want it to. Huawei has implemented several convoluted methods to the way battery saving and notifications work and they are not mutually exclusive...in other words, they can conflict with each other...that is bad enough. But when you layer this ON TOP of Android's Doze (which has no apparent way to configure it) this just leads to a mess in trying to figure out what is causing the delays! So then, I feel that Android to needs to take control of this issue and force all OEM's to follow a standard for battery control so that it is the same across the board no matter what phone we are using.

This is not an Android doze problem. Its Huawei battery management process killing all running apps. I had a sony xz premium running Oreo and not a single problem. Now I'm using Pixel 2 XL and not a signle problem. Its definitely Huawei that restricts notifications due to battery management. This is what stopped me getting the Mate 10 pro. Awesome phone but with notifications not coming through makes the phone useless
I also had the XZ Premium and I agree that it did not have this issue. But my Mate 10 (non-pro) really does not have it that bad. I really do not even notice it. I do shut off my phone every night. I have said in many different forums that I feel that a daily restart of all cell phones is good for keeping things running smoothly. Takes a minute of your time while brushing your teeth in the morning. Maybe this will help someone with more serious issues??
cmon people ...it's not that hard
...go to settings - battery - launch -
from there you can disable or enable specific battery management for each app to be able to launch, be launched by other apps and run in background
they are set to to be managed automatically by default, any app you are having issues being killed just open the launch settings and set them manually.
I set this up when i got the phone and i never have any issues with missing any notifications that i want to see plus my battery lasts for 2-3 days.

The problem with your reasoning is that Gmail is not listed there! This is the only one that seems to delay for me, but as I mentioned it is not that bad. Then again, I am not waiting for, or getting, anything in my personal email that needs super immediate attention. But there may be someone who needs their Gmail to notify them as soon as they receive an email. Thus the complaint!
Welcome the sh*ty world of Huawei

I'm not surprised with Huawei and notifications problems.... This 2 goes together.
First with Mate 8 the first 4 months, then with Mate 9 the first 2 months and now with Mate 10 pro as you mentioned
To be honest I have Mate 10 (no pro) and from the first day I didn't have any problem with "stock mail app, Facebook, Facebook messanger, Viber, Twitter, Instagram, whatsup, weather widget"
But please try this one.... It was the solution I follow with Chinese version of Mate 9 : Open every app that you want instant notification and "locked" it to recent apps and keep it there.... If you have already try this then there isn't much more to do so think of a hard reset or change device.... As for Android 8 I have a s9+ together with Mate 10 and both are manage notifications perfectly....

That is an interesting proposition! I have never used that particular lock before...in fact I can honestly say that at first I didn't know what you were talking about. I guess I never paid any attention to the little lock on those previously opened apps. Not sure if it will work yet or not but I did mention that after I opened Gmail the first time it appeared as if the notifications came in properly. So if this works then I should not have to open Gmail first thing in the morning to get the notifications flowing! Thank you so much for this suggestion! :good:
Got my stratos 3 just before Christmas and I'm suffering several annoying bugs with 4.2.4.0
1. After changing from ultra to smart, touchscreen doesn't work. If I reboot the watch again the touch comes to normal;
2. During some sports sometimes the screen doesn't update, I have to unlock to get updated info such as time;
3. When following a GPX track, if the track name inside the GPX is big, the watch render the trail twice with a distance between the renders turning it difficult to follow a track;
4. Not really a bug, but annoying: It's slow to change between tracks on music player (bluetooth) my old amz pace was instantaneous;
5. When hold the back button it return to the watchface but make all physical buttons unresponsive. Also happens randomly;
6. App doesn't shows vo2 info;
7. Impossible to transfer a large mp3 file (140mb podcast) thru file manager.
8. After a factory reset, tried to transfer 5 mp3 files (~20mb each). Transfer was interrupted and usb was not working. After a watch reboot usb got working again and I could transfer each file individually and waiting some seconds between transfers.
It really seems like a unfinished firmware with some simple test problems, the touch problem is really simple to test but maybe it's just me.
Anyone suffering from the same problems?
i bougth a stratos 3 bircked, i need the firmware multilang to try to repair, anyone can help me?
Hi,
no pb with touchscreen for me ( switching from ultra to smart)
pb with update screen i've noticed some bugs sometimes
Did no try GPX since a long time but it was working well
no pb with back button.
Vo2 max is only working with running workouts.
i face a pb with altitude in smart mode on the watch it seems ok but on the app/strava i have not same values...
it is only in smart mode (in ultra seems ok)
during workout altitude in standby vs active is not the same.
hope they'll publish a new firmware soon
hi
My watch cannot be paired and I am waiting for new firmware.
Yesterday, mine lost the connection with my phone. I am totally disappointed :crying:
Next to other problems (no sync with Strava), I am fed up with this watch
I've got exactly the same problem. Right now my touchscreen doesn't work at all.
Hello everyone,
Talking about bugs, I got my Stratos3 end of last week, international version updated to last stock ROM (I checked and bootloader is locked).
Is anyone else having problems with notifications?
The call reminder is working, but I don't get any notifications... so only phone calls are working.
Yes, all is enabeled, I double checked, I also tried to dissable and enable notifications again, reboot etc.
Phone is Xiaomi Mi9 with xiaomi.eu beta custom ROM - Android10.
Is it a Stratos bug? Or it could be MIUI?

Notifications works for me. I'm using a mi 9 lite miui 11 global version stock.
For notifications you need two things:
1. Amazfit Notification access permission (Notification access in miui settings)
2. Mark apps inside amazfit app on notifications settings

Chacked also this once again, Amazfit app has notification access permission.
And all apps in app notification setting are marked - notifications allowed.
Could be a MIUI beta thing maybe.... I will try later today without batter optimization. That's the only thing that comes to my mind right now.

Maybe I should try a factory reset?

Internacional.
Seems like a phone/rom problem.
I would clean reinstall Amazfit app first.
Maybe you have access to another smartphone just to test.

Smart! Thanks for the idea, I will test it on my Samsung phone. Completly forgot to do that [emoji16]
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a phone rom issue if you guys have no notification problems...

Here's an update of my notification issue: after some playing with install/uninstall AmazMod service on the watch + a few reboots, the notifications seems to work now (without AmazMod installed) [emoji16]

It's totally different topic about Stratos3 4.2.4.0 firmware bugs.
You should create your own post instead.

So it was a watch problem.
Really annoying how buggy this watch behave.
My touchscreen stopped working after coming from ultra to smart. The issue is that it does not work even after a reboot or factory reset.
In Ultra mode, still working.
In ultra mode, display is Blank. I try everything to fix. from reinstall official rom, and some official option in developer mode, to external script founded here on XDA. Nothing helps.. i call that a bug
