Dev Notes:
This is something i started in my 'free' time when waiting for GZR Validus or Tesla builds and having some drinks.
I just started with a aospb base, and added what i thought useful. I grew up to be a fully functional rom, and some people got interested, so i decided to share..
The main goal is to keep it Slim based, i will not add any cm unless Slim does.
Since we are now part of the GZR family, maintainers & device support will be the same, any device not in the list, just ask....

Oh , i see. It's actually XDA forums problem. I faced this issue too on my thread of Splashscreens. I solved that problem by upload the screens as attachment to xda and copy their link and put them on the thread.
You can see images because your browser cached them. I think all of us cannot see screenshots.
Hope you understand, thank you!

I'm using, is really good.
Sent from my Xperia SP using XDA-Developers mobile app

Hmm, my Previous Build has the AOSP Revision to be r22. And Some Changes in Tipsy GitHub weren't synced Locally.
(Figured out by Missing Changelog)
Why? Coz I faced Syncing Problems (Idk Sources why weren't updated forcefully)
This doesn't cause any Major Problems. Yet, I have already started a Build which has the Latest Changes in Tipsy and AOSP Sources Upped to r30. (Verified [emoji1] )
Will come up in few hours. Sorry for the Inconvenience caused.

Build done!

Changelog:
-> Many Changes in the ROM Source (Moving to Slim && Adding some repos for self-maintenance )
-> 6.0.1_r22 -> 6.0.1_r30 (Actual, this time xD)
-> Added Gestures by AdrianDC
#StayTipsy
Hardware Decoding works properly in Tipsy, so it must work on Validus. A Slim repo had some problems AFAIK

Thanks @shavendum for reporting
Just looked at the TipsyOS Manifest and saw that the "BusyBox" repo has been found missing. Due to which LCD Density and V4A weren't working. Yet he could install Stericson's BusyBox and get it working.
So, I would add BusyBox to my manifest and get it back in future builds

Hi, thanks for this awesome ROM
One question though - I switched from CM 12 nightly (flashed via CM recovery) and now my recovery is gone. What gives? Tried installing TWRP with Rashr, but no luck. Tried flashing with fastboot - "FAILED! Partition 'recovery' not found!" Am I correct in assuming I need a different kernel here, one with a recovery of sorts?
Also, on an unrelated note, would you consider not adding ES File Explorer to the ROM? It has become bloatware with what some consider malicious, or at least annoying, properties (like wanting to "analyze" and "optimize" your SD card and apks...) Any other file manager must surely be better these days. Cheers in advance

I guess you're aware about TWRP 3.0.2 . Go to that thread, and download the ".img" file.
Now Install any Terminal Emulator from Play Store. Open that App and enter these commands one by one.
Code:
su
Code:
dd if=/sdcard/Downloads/recovery.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/FOTAKernel
Rename the .img file you've downloaded to "recovery.img". So that the command can be properly executed.
Now Reboot your phone. When you see the Light Sequence, repeatedly press Volume + (up) button to enter the Recovery. Done, you have a working Recovery.

You may ask about this in the Tipsy Google+ Community. Links are there in the main post. (I personally don't like that app (almost Bad), but it is included in the ROM, so I do.)

Thanks for the reply. My problem was slightly more complex, as I had no Gapps installed and hence no access to Play store. But I managed
Just in case someone else gets themselves in a similar fix, here's what I did:
1. found an apk of Jack Palevich's terminal emulator
2. installed TWRP following Arvind7352's instructions above, but with a certain modification:
if=/sdcard/Downloads/recovery.img
Click to collapse
needs to point to where the .img file with your recovery actually is (and its actual name), and since Android Marshmallow started messing about with external storage, mine was something like if=/storage/5FF7-2B75/Download/twrp-huashan.img
3. rebooted to recovery... NOT! Apparently, the phone didn't wise up that the recovery was installed and entered a bootloop. Fortunately it was still visible to adb, so in a terminal window on my PC I rebooted the phone (adb reboot recovery) and it booted... but not into recovery; it simply booted into system.
4. Slightly frustrated, i rebooted into recovery again, using the power menu. Magic! It booted into TWRP.
5. I happily installed opengapps nano, rebooted, faced a slew of FCs (system, play services, system, services... ad infinitum)
6. Cursed a lot, rebooted into recovery, factory wiped, flashed ROM and Gapps in one go, rebooted, all is fine now

[size=+2]F.A.Q[/size]
[size=+1]Q. Can i install CM12 over CM11 without wiping data?[/size]
A. This is not recommended, you have to wipe everything to upgrade from CM11 to CM12
[size=+1]Q. What recovery does this ROM support?[/size]
A. You can use Kitkat Compatible CWM recovery to flash it (6.0.4.5+). Also, we'll integrate CWM 6.0.5.1 in future builds as a permanent solution.
[size=+1]Q. Which GAPPS package should i install?[/size]
A. You can install "NANO GAPPS" if you haven't re-partitioned your system OR you have stock System Partition size.
[size=+1]Q. How much System Partition size is needed to flash this ROM?[/size]
A. you can flash this ROM on your stock system partition but it is recommended to have 1GB System Partition as ART runtime requires more space. also, it's advisable to have more space on system partition if you would like to install standard GAPPS package.
[size=+1]Q. How can I increase System Partition space?[/size]
A. You will need to flash PIT file in ODIN or heimdal to re-partition the System space, it is recommended to have 1GB System Partition as ART runtime requires more space. for more details about PIT files & re-partitioning click here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...es/mod-partition-internal-memory-app-t2538947 and here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...ivatives/mod-increase-partition-size-t3011162
another PIT files are here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50750761&postcount=509
[size=+1]Q. I didn't like the ROM or I want go back to stock ROM or this ROM didn't worked & want to revert back, how can I?[/size]
A. Yes, you can revert back to Stock ROM or any other ROM, you can wipe everything & flash the ROM of your choice whether it's stock or AOSP based ROM. Please follow this steps to revert back to your ROM (these steps are for total noob users)
1 - Go to recovery mode
2 - Make sure that your recovery is compatible with Kitkat if you are flashing a ROM based on Kitkat. If not then flash a Kitkat compatible recovery (as mentioned above).
3 - Flash your ROM.
[size=+1]Q. Can I flash another kernel after flasing this ROM?[/size]
A. Yes, of course you can flash kernel of your choice, just reboot to recovery & flash the zip.
[size=+1]Q. I guess I have soft bricked the device, what should i do now?[/size]
A. Follow the guide here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/help/guide-fix-unflashable-soft-bricked-gsii-t1457458
[size=+1]Q. Can I apply another theme on this ROM?[/size]
A.Yes, you can search for CM12 themes on xda or on the Play Store, install it and apply the theme from the Themes section on Settings.

I'm pretty sure that CM don't have a theme engine on 5.0, also, you don't want to apply a theme on a unstable rom.

WIP!
Guys, I beg you not to litter thread useless messages. This thread is needed for the developers!
I will test as soon as I can, thanks dude
Have downloaded and installed this rom.
General function is smooth but was unable to install Gapps provided due to no storage space after install (have had this with all stock Gapps from Kit Kat too). We might need a nano build for 5.0 Gapps.
Random reboots from lock screen after graphical glitches. If the screen if left on it will stay on fine with no reboots till the screen turns off. Then reboot.
Dialer and call works works but only on speaker. Apps crashing (browser, keyboard etc).
Will have a play around with some settings and apps and report back.
Edit: After a bit more playing with the build, I installed Google Keyboard and got the keyboard working. WiFi does work, when chrome is installed that does work.
Reboots and graphic glitches have stopped but messaging app does not work, it will crash while trying to send, when I reboot it will send old messages and receive new ones (I think as it sent to myself when I tested).
Will try again with Hangouts when I can get it working but need a Gapps package to work on it first.
Any ideas?
Are sources available anywhere?
In addition, bluetooth, camera does not work, dialler hangs massively, few graphic glitches, browser force closes...
i will not try it now but im here to tell you you are the best man because you still think about our device :good:
guys i have installed it on my s2. i will post some screens later but i need someone to tell me how to install cwm or twrp so i can go back to my previous rom?
can we get official support now ?

Thanks @Zenith @halloarno for Testing Initial builds.
For Android Enthusiasists
( Q )What is DragonTC?
-> DragonTC is a Custom Clang Toolchain. More info about it can be found in THIS Thread
( Q )Why Clang?
-> Clang is an Upcoming Replacement of the GCC Toolchain. Google is Adapting more and more Android Repositories to get compiled with Clang. Currently some of them are Compilable (some /external projects, /frameworks )
Advantages of it AFAIK are
-> Preservation of Code - The Original Code is retained in the Runtime Mode too, which is less possible in case of GCC.
-> Easy Debugging - Clang, when used in Compilation, provides a Easier Understanding of the Error which we Encounter. Sometimes it just tells us what to do in order to solve that Error. Thus, Clang becomes more Developer Friendly than GCC Toolchain
Currently, Clang can't be used on All Android Sources due to Incompatibility issues (with ARM AFAIK), So GCC is used in that case.

I encountered that bug too, a build is coming up which may have it fixed.
New build has some things messed up due to Improper sync. But, Hardware Decoding Issues may be fixed on the Next Build. (YouTube not working && MX Player not able to use HW Decoder).
A Fresh Sync now. A New Build after my Exams.
A New build with HW Decoder fixed is coming up.
Changelog:
->Pulse Customizations and Sanity Mode (Finally! )(thanks to teh RR Team and Varun Date)
->HW Decoder Bug Fixed
->Charging Current Value (in mAh) in Lockscreen ( Settings -> WolvesDen -> StatusBar Options -> Battery Tab -> Last Option ) (Value will appear at the Bottom with the "Charging Text")
Uploading the build as soon as I reach home (way too long -> Reached -> Uploading xD)
Probably Tuesday can be the day for Validus Weeklies.
*Hoooooowwwwwwl* Here is the Build. Report back bugs if any

It's okay now. Since it shifted to Google Cloud, it's more faster than before.
ROM's really great !!
one thing though when you scroll the album list in the android music app, some kind of disorientation of the list happens. This does not occur though if you use the dedicated scrolling tab on the right of the screen

Yeah, the ROM is still in Beta stages, so try other Music Apps for now. Idk, but I don't find CM Apps, so no CM File Manager and Eleven Music Player.
Asking would be good when the ROM gets out of its Beta Phase
Gestures worked for Validus.
Here's the Apk. Place it at /system/priv-app/DeviceSettings/DeviceSettings.apk && Set Permissions to rw-r--r-- (644) && Reboot
Can the advanced reboot menu be activated, I don't see an option in the developer tools..... should a xposed module be used for the same ??

[ROM][AOSP][7.1/8.1/9.0 BETA] Unlegacy Android Project

The Unlegacy Android ProjectIntroduction
Unlegacy Android started out as the OMAP4-AOSP Project. It was created in late 2015 in order to maintain a clean and organized place for pure AOSP support for various OMAP4 devices, such as the Galaxy Nexus and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 series. Over time this evolved to support more than just these devices, but still maintains its roots of supporting "legacy" devices that no longer receive "official" updates: hence Unlegacy Android was born. In our opinion, these ROMs are how the official updates would look.
On top of AOSP, we only include changes which are necessary to support the hardware, be secure, and get acceptable performance. Current features for mako include:
- Linux kernel 3.4.y merged in (currently 3.4.113 - mostly security patches and minor bug fixes)
- BFQ IO scheduler (official kernel 3.4 release), set up so GUI processes have the highest priority
- F2FS support from kernel 4.9 (for /data only! no point of f2fs on /cache)
- SELinux in Enforcing mode
Installation
If you're planning to install GApps, be sure to read the second post!
Aside from that, installation and upgrading is no different than on other ROMs.
Problems
- No known issues for mako yet.
If you notice anything, be sure to report it in this thread. Stability is our main concern. While I'm kind of busy, I usually read the thread and acknowledge the bug reports, even if I don't reply directly to them.
Downloads
See: http://builds.unlegacy-android.org. Our automated builds ensure that we always have the latest Android security patches merged in, without having to manually start and upload builds
We will have a built-in OTA updater (just like stock) soon (it's a work in progress)
Features?
There isn't much to say here - this is AOSP, if you install GApps, you pretty much get the same thing that's running on the Nexus devices (see the second post). The aim of this project is to create a fast and stable ROM - although, one could use Xposed (or similar) to add extra features.
As usual, feedback is appreciated

GApps
If you want to install GApps, we recommend Open GApps Micro.
An important note: as this is a pure AOSP ROM, installing GApps tends to be problematic: in order to try to avoid installation issues, be sure to install GApps immediately after installing the ROM, before booting the system for the first time. If you experience any issues with the Google applications, be sure to go into Settings -> Apps, and grant every permission to every Google application - most importantly, Google Play services.
In the case of an upgrade, be sure to re-install the GApps package, as upgrading wipes /system. You shouldn't need to re-set the permissions afterwards.
Stock-like setup
Disable the following built-in (AOSP) apps:
- Android keyboard (once you installed Gboard)
- Browser
- Calculator
- Camera
- Clock
- Email
- Gallery
Install the following apps from the Play store:
- Google Photos (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.photos)
- Calculator (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.calculator)
- Chrome (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android.chrome)
- Clock (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.deskclock)
- Gboard (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.inputmethod.latin)
- Gmail (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.gm)
- Google Calendar (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.calendar)
- Google Camera (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.GoogleCamera)
SafetyNet
The ROM should pass SafetyNet after installing GApps, without anything else. Keep in mind that installing extra stuff (SU, ...) might make it fail!
Rooting
You can flash the latest Magisk to get rooted.
Just a little note on this, I've been testing his build and it's been really smooth so far. (Even more than my own AOSP build) Also for other ROM's devs out there, he's the original dev who fixed the sensors and he also fixed the camera without relying on AOSP hacks. (Well except SELinux but that's another thing...) You can check out the source for more info about it.
Because I didn't have much time to work on it, I want to thank @Ziyan for his work on this. I could even say that eventual people who are currently on the AOSP build should go on this one moving forward.
From 1 February I check ROM periodically. For now ROM is not for me. It is too raw.
There are no navigation buttons for me and I can not disable them if I want to use Button Savior, for example. ROM does not see WiFi 5GHz.
However, I am pleased that there's a thread on XDA.
Forgive me if it has already been posted in the gapps thread, but is open gapps working for 7.1.2 builds? Last I checked, it was reported that setupwizard crashes on 7.1.2 due to being outdated. Thx!

That's right.
The ROM immediately shows 2 GHZ interfaces.
Within 12 seconds after the WiFi is switched on, 5 GHz interfaces are also displayed.
I was impatient.
If I dirty flash from 7.1.1 to 7.1.2 this ROM will be work without any issues?
I did a clean flash wiped everything but internal storage
I lose root frequently on this ROM and other nougat ROMs I'm using multirom twrp and multirom and hellspawn aosp nougat kernel revision 5
This ROM was installed in the primary slot of multirom
I used super su 2.79 and also tried magisk v12 neither worked
I used a 7.1.2 build with only flashing ROM and modifications : v4a an adreno driver and hellspawn kernel then booting
Then reboot to recovery and install open gapps pico 7.1
What am I doing wrong ?
Is multirom the culprit ?

Hello!
I was able to install the GAPPs:
1) flash rom
2) turn on the N4
3) flash gapps
4) superSU flash (optional)
That way I did not use the setup wizard, I just added my Google account to the Play Store.

Soon! our Nexus 5 maintainer (I don't have a Nexus 5, 4 is still my daily driver) just fixed a camera bug, according to him, only some selinux fixes are remaining until the thread can be opened
Hi again, loving the rom so far and thx very much for keeping the n4 alive! I understand the rom will not have any custom rom features since it's strictly AOSP, but I wonder if it might be possible to include ambient display? It is too useful for the screen to automatically turn on without having to press power button which many n4 owners probably have problems with, and to see notifications in a dimmer black and white screen that is unobtrusive which can return to full brightness and colour with a touch of the screen.
Thx again and very grateful for your work for the n4 community!
Thanks for your hard work and this great and very stable ROM @Ziyan :good:

Android Device
Instructions:
Code:
Install your device driver for using adb. Everything you need will you find here
Download adb executable for your OS (Download: Windows | Linux | Mac). Paste it somewhere.
Connect your android device.

Thank you very much for supporting the old SII in both updating the old and new versions together with the security patches, I have a doubt I have been testing many of the ROMS AOSP and CM in order to find some daily use also adding tweaks and kernels you have Any recommendations you have used? I do not want to stay in Sammy roms
the reason why I do not like nougat because there is no support in the kernel modified and I am playing a lot with the BLN, fast charge, different governors and ZRAM

Try DU MM v10.6 or Carbon ROM Nougat (it has 'ondemand' power management by default). I do not play much (actually only 2048), but they can meet your needs. Remember that CarbonROM is rootless and I think it has no way to enable it.

Are you using the pit configuration of 1.5gb system + 6gb data + 512mb preload or something like this? If you do not have or if it is your first installation of a custom rom, you will need it.
Now if it is not, search for error 70 by javix and problem solved!

I was flashing ARM 7.1 pico
Solved it !! Did a clean install.
I dont know what caused the error previously but last time when I was flashing, i wiped cache/dalvik after flashing the rom.
This time I did not wiped, installed the gapps immediately after the rom and it went smoothly.

I used lanchon repit tool to increase system size.
I dont know if wiping can cause any error or not. The error appeared when I wiped cache/dalvik after flashing the rom and then tried flashing gapps.
Repeated everything except the wiping before gapps inatallation error did not show up.

Hi timematcher!
When I compile a ROM that it does not have for another device, I usually make the necessary modifications to compile and work well, and they are minimal (include classes, device trees etc). I do not make drastic changes since I'm a beginner in the backend world and in the android development world. Think it has some optimization done by the dotOS team.
Benchmark WiFi? Nope! But you can test on the speedtest website.
While the time of the battery, it is the same thing as Lineage (I do not know the time exact). For general use, between 4h / 4h20. Games: I not tested, because I'm not much fan. In standby mode the battery lasted 4 days. Remember that this can differ because it depends on the life util of battery.

Thanks for the detailed response. I was really looking to understand how long the battery lasts
on standby,
on an regular Call/SMS use and
on constant WIFI connectivity.
I was not asking for browsing or downloading speed on the phone but thanks for answering that as well.
I have i9100 on which I am using LOS 14.x microG. I am always looking forward to a light weight yet effective ROM that i can use as a daily driver.
Thanks for the good work. cheers.
New build is UP!
Info & download via OP.
Thank you for such a small and clean ROM! But, it's laggy. I can't move around interface without some lag. Especially ripple effect on touch. I hope you'll make ROM more resposnive without so much lag

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][10.0][Plate2] StagOS [STABLE]

Hello!
Today, I want to share with you my favourite custom ROM for Nokia 6.1, which I built from sources. Thanks to Raghu Varma for device/kernel/vendor sources on GitHub! The ROM is based on Android 10 and it is stable without any major bugs.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You are flashing this rom on your own responsibility! I'm not responsible for bricked devices... Please read the flashing instructions carefully.
Stag???
We are the StagOS, we aim at elegance, Material Design being at our core.
To start up Pure AOSP was the best option cause what's more better than android straight from Google.
Next we need those teensy weensy bits of customisations, like the clock could be to the right instead, what's the download speed... and such. So why leave these feelings empty.
With Stag we aim at giving a pure android experience fulfilling those small itches in the mind.
Don't forget, You need to grow your own Horns, Just kidding enjoy.

ROM installation instructions:
NOTES: Gapps are already included, so don't flash them! It is recommended to update your stock ROM to latest Android 10 before flashing this custom ROM. For flashing, latest TWRP from Raghu Varma is recommended!
/CLEAN FLASH/
1) Boot into TWRP and Format Data by typing yes, then go to the Bootloader and reboot TWRP
2) Flash latest ROM zip via TWRP
3) Change to alternative slot (if you are on slot a change to slot b if you are on b change to a)
4) Reboot system
Now you are done!
If you want ROOT or use Google Pay with your credit/debit card, you need to flash latest Magisk to pass Safety Net!
1) Flash latest Magisk package via TWRP
2) Open Magisk Manager App and turn on Magisk Hide in settings
3) In Magisk Manager go to Download and install these modules "Busybox for Android NDK" and "MagiskHide Props Config"
4) Read the instructions for correct setting up the module: https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/MagiskHidePropsConf/blob/master/README.md
5) I recommend to use custom fingerprint for our device by creating file named "printslist" in the ROOT of your internal storage with this line:
Code:
Nokia 6.1 (10):HMD Global:Nokia 6.1=Nokia/Plate2_00WW/PL2_sprout:10/QKQ1.190828.002/00WW_4_15E:user/release-keys__2020-06-01
6) Run su command in terminal and then props command or use adb shell and set the custom fingerprint.
Reboot device and Enjoy!

Vendor is prebuilt in all my StagOS releases.
And I must say that the latest build has a bug: If you press a volume + or - key in landscape mode, then black screen and lock screen appears. So there is not possible to control audio volume in landscape mode. This issue has already been fixed in StagOS sources so my next build will fix this issue. I have a plan to release fixed build maybe today or tommorrow.

Alright thanks, waiting for the update. You can also consider including Google Calendar in the update since the current build has AOSP one, thanks.

This is a question to StagOS developers, since I'm using official Pixel Gapps shipped with StagOS source code. You're right that prebuilt Google Calendar would be useful. I will try to ask on StagOS Telegram group.

Welcome. I use SmartPack Kernel Manager it works pretty well coz it's free. FK Kernel Manager and EX Kernel Manager are also good but paid.
Here is the Link for Smart Pack Kernel Manager
Hello, ROM is good, but:
- Strange sliders in the settings (Horns -> Quick Settings -> for example "Tiles rows on portrait").
- Too fast system animations, for example - when you change screen orientation, in Google Calculator.
- Strange icons of stock Calculator and Calendar.
- And could you make FM-Radio, OmniSwitch, Calculator and Calendar non-system, because right now I am not able to delete them.
