Crashed while upgrading! - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello there,
I own an Xperia Z2 (D6503) and I wanted to upgrade it to 6.0.1. I had it rooted so to prevent from losing it I made a PRF and installed it with teamwin (like I have done with previous updates). Once installation finished I rebooted the device which started properly. The problem is that stuck in the starting "wave" thing for 2 hours (the waves were moving but nothing than this). Then I reset the device by the hidden Reset button and powered it up again. It did the same. After all the disappointment I tried to restore it using Flashtool but it says that the drivers of the device need to be installed (while they are already installed).
Please help me somehow. Thanks a lot.

Rebooting and rebooting and rebooting... help!

The thing is.... I have a X10 mini pro (Android 2.1), and I was trying to install Gingerbread Theme on it (Following this steps: aliwaqas.info/install-android-2-3-gingerbread-on-xperia-x10-mini-pro/) I did everything on the right order. But now it doesn't stop rebooting and rebooting and rebooting , please tell me how fix it!!! (like "for dummies" steps). I'll be so grateful
Thanks!
I'm new on this things.................... you realized on that already
your mini is bricked like mine 3 weeks ago. I try to flash it with flasher by bin4ry and using a nordic firmware and it seemed to work.
Then I have other issues I took it to the service center
I used PC Companion to reinstall the system. At first the pc did not recognized the mini (cause it was rebooting), but in the manual says that with a 50% it would work anyway, so it was easy, but I lost all my information, but it was a risk.
Thank you for the help.
my step, just repair it with PC Companion first
run the PC Companion, choose update, it will show repair option
it will download the necessary data. wait for it, it will then show you how to set your device so it can be flashed by the application.

arunrv could you exactly tell me what you did to work the phone ?
because i have the same problem as you
I downloaded "update service" software from Sony website.
Download it and after installing, launch the software.
The software will guide you to how to connect your phone. (Initially don't connect your phone)
Software will take care of rest of the process.
Regards,
Arun

Thanks it works but a little unstable. because first i tried 2-3 and it gave me an error on both ways (factory settings or just update) by the way i tried many diffrent ways then i tried again with se update service with factory settings and it worked.
I think the problem is root. this version doesnt love root and my phone was rooted. if anybodys phone has root first remove it then update urs phone.

Or use wotanserver.

Help!! Broke my x10

Hello,
Yesterday I've changed kernel in my X10 and since than my prolems begun.
The situation looks like this write now:
-I can't connect it to flashtool bacause of ERROR - USB/VID...(will upload a screenshot later)
-The system won't boot because of wrong kernel (the kernel is propably for froyo)
-I can get into xRecovery, but the SD Card con't be mounted
-Won't connect to SEUS also
The only option that is left to make a full wipe or is there any way to get into internal memory of the phone, so that I could change the xRecovery to older version.
Please if You had such a problem or any idea HELP
I bricked my phone twice in the last 2 days. Keep trying with SEUS untill SEUS give you the repaire option. My last attempt took about 8 upgrade tries before SEUS gave me the repair option. goodluck
Wrong place dudes. Go to Question & Answer box.
BTW, If you unlocked Bootloader, you can brick your phone. Otherwise, no chance to brick it. Here you go:
- Remove SEUS and PC Companion
- Download latest PC Companion and fresh install (Enable Windows auto update first, PC Companion needs it to find latest driver for FlashMODE).
- Restart computer then try using Repair mode in PC Companion (don't connect phone, just click Start in Support Zone and follow, you will find Repair mode)
- Or use FlashTool to Flash Stock firmware.
OK, I've repaired it. Somehow it connected normally to SEUS next today

It because the battery low I think
Sent from my T.E.A.M. powered X10i using XDA App (& the internet...)
The battery wasn't low, it was about 70%, however I'vo loaded it 100% over night and today there was no problem at all. Might be luck!

[Q]can someone help me unbrick my MK16i Xperia pro

Gentlemen, I couldn't find a section for Xperia Pro, please excuse me if this is misplaced.
I rooted my MK16i from ICS 4.0. according to a guide here on XDA forum, with no problems (from 4.1.a.435 .. i think).*
Then I installed system tuner and backed up the bloatware and what I believed was obviously named as packages that support them. Things were working great and the phone gained some performance improvements.
UNTIL, I installed Viber and Skype, and niether were working. I thought I would fix it by restoring all the backed up services and apps. Once I did that and rebooted the phone, it became useless
THe phone keeps rebooting. I get to the XPERIA loading screen and then it restarts again
I tried to connect it to the PC to flash another ROM with the Flashtool, but it is not recognized. All I get is in the computer screen a removable disk drive, that is not accessible.
Note: I didnt update the firmware after I rooted.
Can anybody help?
have you worked with flashtool before ? because there hardly could be any wrong with flashtool. use the latest version with proper drivers.
and since you have rooted phone, have you unlocked your bootloader ? if yes, then flash any custom kernel, go to CWM, then place rom zip on sdcard and stright flash rom via CWM.
flashtool should work though. you can try on different computer.
If flashing a kernel or installing custom ROM sounds a bit out-of-reach, you can always go for the repair option in PC Companion. It worked for me when I had soft-bricked my Neo V (it wouldn't go past the SONY logo). However, be advised that this repair option will erase your phone's internal memory. Also, your phone will be brought on the latest stock ROM, so you will need to root your phone again.
Good Luck!!! :good:

I tried to do somethingn like this but sony companion itself cannot detect the phone either.
My question is, is there a brick that cannot be fixed? I took it to a shop today and still they cannot fix it.
Have you tried to use sony update service?
How are you connecting your phone to flashtool?
Can you show us log from flashtool?
New development:
Now I tried to flash the phone with flashtool 32bit rather than 64-bit and it detected the phone! I could even flash the only firmware in Aeonworld's post Here.
Now I can see the phone connected in my computer.
However, the phone still won't boot but when I power on it gives black screen and after a short while, the led on the side becomes green.
For some reason though, I cannot continue with the rooting steps in his guide.
So anyways, after the second reboot, not the first for some reason, the phone gets detected in PC Companion, and I installed the update and now it is working again :victory:
Thank you all for your support.
