Hi!
I've bought 64 GB SD card, but only the owner account have access to it. Is it possible to give the access (or maybe create a partition) for second user? I've 6.0 installed.

Been having a score of problems getting this to work ( formatting the SD card ) but managed to do it successfully using this method
http://androidandme.com/2009/08/news/how-to-manually-partition-your-sd-card-for-android-apps2sd/
Now I had a problem with my card after succeeding, and it occured to me that now all my apps are on the card, if the card malfunctions, I'm then left with no apps on my phone. NOT GOOD.
So my questions are:
Is there a reverse proccess that allows you to copy the apps back to the phone?
And is there a way to create an identical clone of my sd card, so at least I have a backup to use?
Thanks all
I'm running the latest Modaco ROM, and use only a MAC as home computer.
I Just received my 32g class 10 sd card and want to get direction before I use it from the members here because I have seen several variations on how to use these cards.
What should I do with it? In the past I just placed it in the phone and copied my music, pictures and documents to the phone via the USB .
On the forum I have heard people formatting the card differently or partitioning the card so they can install apps etc.
What is the best strategy?
You don't need special formatting to transparently move apps or their data to the external card.
All you need is root and the 'Directory Mount' APK.
Hi all... I have an android phone with several apps installed on it. When I install the apps I don't bother to choose where they go (i.e. sd card or phone) so I assume they are installed on the phone by default.
Anyway.... I need a higher capacity micro sd card. Can I just go out and buy a new one and swap it with the old one? Or will this cause applications (if any) that store data on the sd card to fail?
Thanks!

Assuming there are no apps installed on it (you should still check), it should be fine to simply change it. Apps which store data on it will recreate/redownload their data accordingly. You could also just copy the contents from your current card and send them to the new one to avoid this.
Copy the whole content of your memory card to your computer. Then buy a new memory card and paste the copied files to it.
Hi,
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (GT-P5110) which runs on Android ICS (4.0.3). I also bought 32Gb Class 10 Samsung microSD card as the memory could be extended up to 32 gig. But soon I realized that the external SD gets mounted as read only. So it doesn't allow anything to be copied. I then read in some forums and realized that a permission needs to be changed for which the device needs to be rooted. I didn't want to root my device so decide to copy data into it through my laptop running on Windows 7.
The problem is, I'm able to copy the data into the micro SD card from a laptop using a SD card adaptor. But what ever I'm copying in my laptop doesn't show up when I insert the microSD into my tablet. It just disappears!
Has anybody faced this problem? Is there a conflict in the file system between windows and android (non FAT16/32 or NTFS) which is creating the problem?
Any suggestion to overcome this will be helpful!

Hi there guys.
I have Spice Dream Uno (Android one device) running Android M. I have some queries related to using SD card as internal storage.
I have Samsung EVO+ 32 GB card.
Now here's my question.
If i use sd card as internal then it says it would work only in this device one.
Now after i did it i used sd card adapter to transfer my files, but it didn't worked it asked me format my sd card.
So at this point i think its the best to have secure storage.
I only transfer files via usb cable(No problem at this).
Now,
1) If i do factory reset will this card still work on my device or do i have to format it by loosing all data ?
2) If i flash custom ROM MM based will the card and files still remain the same ?
This would be interesting for me, too.
