Hi, any solution for changing dpi on the h850 ?
I am on a unlocked, rooted device, but i get bootloops now, when i go down to 560.
I did that with the still locked phone like they did on the G4 : 'adb shell wm density 560 && adb reboot'
Dpi was set, but now i get into a bootloop. Good that i have the system partition backuped before with twrp.
Hope there is a solution out there, since i find the resolution a little bit too big.
Edit: Solution i use atm is xposed an App Settings. Working so far.

Hello everyone,
Here is my problem of which I hope you can help me out.
I own a Allwinner A13 7 inch tablet, on which I installed the Cyanogen 10 mod (Due to restrictions I cannot place the link to the mod)
The problem is I probably installed the wrong touchscreen driver, so the tablet boots perfectly into the Mod but I can't do anything.
Normally it would be no problem to just put back my backup, but I can't get it to boot into CWM.
In the first place I rebooted into CWM to instal the mod by adding the following command through the "terminal app" before rebooting,
Command: "echo -e 'boot-recovery\0' > /dev/block/nandf; sync"
Now I cannot use the screen so i cant use the terminal.
I also cannot use ADB because USB debugging is standard switched of after flashing a new MOD.
Does anyone know if there is another way to get into CWM??
Thanks a LOT!
Thanks a lot!
I will have a look
Do you by change know where to get a working stock rom? I flashed one which i found using google a couple of times but it only results in a Boot loop (I have no luck at all!).
Thanks!
Update: found a stock version that works. But no my touchscreen is inverted.
Also I probably made another **** up, because I accepted the format option of Livesuit, so now I lost my backup.....
I changed the DPI in the build.prop, rebooted and when it got to the lock screen I couldn't see all the numbers to unlock the phone.
I tried pulling the build.prop with adb but it said the phone was offline
I tried a factory data reset thinking that would reset the build prop. Now I'm stuck in activation section!!
what can I do here? It's a core prime on 4.4.4 straight talk if that matters
Somebody please help me
Recently I tried to change the DPI on my Samsung Galaxy Express 3 from AT&T through ADB, i installed all of the required drivers enabled USB Debugging and followed the guide perfectly, once my phone rebooted, System UI kept crashing, I eventually factory reset it. My question is, is there anyway to do this without System UI crashing?
PS: I cant root the phone or unlock the bootloader
Any help would be appreciated
Mentions that matter
Device: Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S
ROM: MIUI 11.0.3 (Android 10 - Public Beta, installed through TWRP from a zip file and not the "regular channel)
Root: Magisk
Now, I was playing with some resolution/dpi apps and I faced one that was ultimate messed my device, the app is called "Easy DPI Changer", setting 200 dpi did the trick to make everything bit enough and freeze my device and after a while cause a reboot.
After the reboot it goes into recovery mode(TWRP), well tried to remove Magisk and maybe it wouldn't give access to the app so it would come back normal? ...big mistake.
The issue remained as it tries to boot into the android interface it feezes and after a while boom - reboot. Removing magisk also make TWRP to disappear and bring up the Mi-Recovery 3.0(stock recovery), I can fastboot TWRP although it doesn't ask for a password anymore and after second reboot stock recovery comes back
Tried to use ADB(through TWRP) but had no luck performing a command like "adb shell wm density 560" I get -- "error: closed", I tried some other ADB installers and manage to make it "work" but also had different error messages. How can I "fix" the dpi in order to use the phone and reverse what the app did?
Not sure if someone can actually help me with this but here there are some brilliant minds so I guess I might have some luck with it - it's not an everyday case, btw deleting everything and doing them over is the easiest solution but this means data would be gone so as settings and tons of other stuff which is not something that I'll prefer to do
Thank you in advance
-------------------------------
Kind of fix it, fastboot the device to flash twrp once more, flash a custom rom ...booted with weird size logo(still had weird dpi) -DirtyFlash obviously- I'll root it change the dpi back, ditch that app after I set things back and reflash miui ..it might mess things up but at least it seems to be working(MIUI seems broken but I'll try to get all my data and ditch it anyway, I test this global beta enough)
I was fiddling around with the “Smallest Display Width” setting in Developer Options, and changed it to 1000 to see what would happen. Happen it did, and my phone (a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8) crashed and restarted! It now bootloops.
I guess that setting changes DPI, so how do I change Smallest Display Width back with fastboot!?
Help me PLEASE! ?

Click to collapse
Flash stock firmware
Should fix it
IDT that fastboot could solve that
Or if you don't care about data on your internal storage do reset factory from recovery mode
