My hermes (which i replaced due to this and got a new one, same prob. so i guess its not a hardware thing) is dying on me after a day or two of usage.
it works fine after a HR, then somewhere within the following 24-48 hours it starts accumilating bugs (start menu wont open, htc home tabs going weird, programs folder is nowhere to be found and all kinds of weird stuff).
resetting the device (soft) always hangs at the same point - splash screen just after showing the rom version numbers.
i've tried to find bad blocks using mtty and it says my device is mint - no bad blocks whatsoever...
im on hardspl 1.30 i think, sim free and cid unlocked, tried several roms and several radios that have worked for me before (on my older device).
any ideads?
do hard reset then put the apps you like on one at a time. if there is a conflict somewhere it will show up soon after the problem app is installed. might be a couple of apps so it may take awhile to work out what one(s)..... cheers
This sounds like the problem that is cropping up lately after installing a 6.1 ROM. It is fixable by first installing an official (the official Dopod ROM is a popular favorite) ROM and then installing your ROM of choice. Current wisdom is that it has something to do with superstorage. Anyway, flash an official ROM first and see if that fixes it.

Recently I had some problems with random rebooting my device, so I decided to wipe the entire phone and install new version of CM12.1. I hadn't any problems during that process. I installed my favourite apps and configured my device. Everything worked quite nice and fast. First problem appeared when I did first reboot. Phone just.. gets bootloop. No matter what i'm doing - next reboot is always bootloop. I don't have idea what should I do CM11 starts to annoy me a bit.. I'm using a Huawei Ascend G620s-L01.
Any kind of help would be much appreciated!

Oh.. Same thing happens on CM13..
Anybody has an idea? :/ I realised that the AOSP ROMs based on Lollipop works! But after first reboot SIM stops working.. I'm gonna die..

ah, I noticed that radio and sim card stopped working on almost every ROM. It works only on some CM roms..

at start I have to apologize for my worse english; haven`t written and spoken it for years.
I have an Z2 and rooted it a few weeks ago; after that I installed Cyanogenmod Recovery.
I`ve tried a few Custom Roms but the problem is always the same: It crashes after some time, when I am trying to start an App.
Mostly Ingress and Google Maps. Often they work fine, like 4-6 times, they start without any issues.
But one time it crashes.
It restarts instantly and often tells me I dont have a simcard or it disables the Bluetooth-Connection.
The only possibility is to restart it and after that it works fine... for a few hours till I try to restart an app.
Sometimes it hangs itself up in a boot loop and i have to use Power + Vol Down to get into Cyanogenmod Recovery, but after that the restart takes up to 15 minutes because he calibrates all the apps.
It seems that the problem doesn`t happen when I am using Wlan.
Everything else works fine, no problems, but it is really annoying.
Any ideas?

1. cyanogenmod recovery is sh*tty
2. install a pre-rooted stock rom or a modified one like eXistenZ Premium, MoonWalker epidemic or PureX
never had such issues with these roms
Yeah, i know its ****ty, but i cant enter the bootloader anymore; it always starts the recovery. So i cant remove it.
The other problem is, that i tried 4 different roms and the problem seems to appear in every rom.
So it seems to depend on something else.
I'm having the same exact issue except that I don't get into bootloops

The bootloops seems to appear only under Ressurection Remix; i've installed CM again and they didnt happen anymore.
But the problem, that it crashes and after a restart often didnt find my SIM, is still there...
I don't know about RR rom as I haven't tried it but I'm getting the reboots on CM

A few weeks ago My P780 (with english KitKat, rooted by seller) started showing these error messages "calendar has stopped working" "acore has stopped working" "google services has stopped working" "(random app) has stopped working". Only pushing the reset button got rid of these messages. These crashes became more and more frequent and I decided to try and solve it. I watched many "how to" videos on youtube and I decided to clear cache in factory mode. It did not solve it. Than I saved all my important data, and did a factory reset. The loading screen was on for too long, and I thought it froze, so I pushed reset. This made my phone to have a boot loop.
My brother has the exact same phone, and he did a Jellybean upgrade a year ago, and it was successful. So I have my phone to him, to repair it. Just by curiosity he did a memory check on HIS P780, and when he stopped it, it almost made his phone brick. So we had 2 identical bricked P780s.
After so many tries, he disconnected the battery and managed to recover his phone, and it works perfectly again. The strange thing is, he can't repair my phone though using the same method, same software, same driver, same cable and trying many ROM versions. After installing ROM, my phone works perfectly, but when he installs google services, all those "unfortunately stopped" error messages return. We can't understand why these error messages appear, if the phone was reflashed so many times and we tried so many ROMs. Does anybody have a clue?

Can you be more specific? What firmware did you flashed? Most of them have GAPPS installed.
Did you flashed the firmware with SP Flash Tool?

Yes, we used SP Flash Tool.
We tried firmware/ROM: "s129" (factory) and "p780_s941_vibeui_v2.0_1512". Both without GAPPS, because our phones are CE (china), not ROW (rest of the world). CE firmware does not include GAPPS. Tomorrow we will try to install ROW firmware.

We installed VIBEUI_2.0_1512_7.149_1_ST_P780_baralajbi, this version included GAPPS and it workes perfectly. Everything is way better than the factory ROM. Unfortunately after a few days of usage the same problem returned (android unfortunately stopped), but now I noticed something. My phone keeps overheating.
I remember now, this has happened before, with the factory ROM, my phone became hot all the time, but I thought it's because of the very hot summer temperature. Now I noticed, that even if I keep the phone in my pocket, wifi, data transfer, gps, and everything turned off, not many applications running in the background, and my phone is still quite hot. When I turn the screen on and start using some apps, after 10-15 minutes it crashes.

Hi people, I don't know where to ask anymore. Sorry in advance for my english.
I have a serious problem with my P9 Lite VNS L21. It is no brand, as far as I know.
Everything started when I updated to EMUI 5.0 Android 7.0. (I know nothing about this stuff)
I started to have some bugs like: I couldn't turn on bluetooth, I couldn't open settings cause they always crash, and stuff like this.
So what I decided to do, hope I can turn back, was to install a custom ROM.
What I found was the Lineage 14, but the EliteKernel was required. And so on, I flashed it.
After that, bugs were becoming more and more annoying: I didn't even have the keyboard anymore.
So I did a factory reset.
Than, I was in an infinite loop in the first Wizard Setup. It was always restarting after I logged in into my google account and whatever I would press between Inizitialize a new phone or Restore from backup, it always went back.
After, I downloaded a new firmware to restore everything back and now.. nothing works. Always in black screen, I can't go into recovery, I can't fastboot, I can't even use dload.
I tried to remove battery and put it back, but it didn't work.
Sorry for the wall of text but I thought it was better to explain everything.
