Have anyone tried it? The z3 android N. On our z3v
Developer version, buggy still, but it does stuck no N for the Z3v.
I know it wont have stock on z3v but i just want to know is it(z3 Android N) available for z3v ? Anyone tried it ?
No. It wouldn't load and any attempt would brick your locked phone.

EDIT Actually after installing file commander I can do this.....

Anyone willing to try this? I'm curious as to how it works considering the only methods out there right now require getting superCID then using HTV Dev to get the unlock code and the former no longer works...

It just seems fishy doesn't it?
To me, you would think this, being a pretty big development, would break here on XDA.
While I am hoping its true, as I am holding off until something like this is released, it just seems a little to good to be true.
But go for it if you want!
Just follow a guide on here, it's pretty much dead simple to unlock your bootloader through HTC. I highly doubt this is legit but in the time it took you to make this post and wring your hands about it you could have unlocked the bootloader, rooted and installed a custom rom.
netstal trembley
im not saying its not legit but, like said a couple of posts above, if it was legit, i'd think it would be xda by now
My theory - If no one has commented anything at all and there's no one to vouch for it, don't become the martyr or the first victim.
I'm happy about the feed back from you guys. This is the reason I posted it here, because I knew someone would have a good insight about this topic.
I'm staying away
Thanks

Click the download button and it says right there that it won't work. Only supports android up 4.0.3, and no HTC devices although they hope to support them in the future. It's virus free according the VirusTotal, but I still wouldn't use it on a supported phone without confirmation from someone else that it won't ruin it.
Hi, I'm one of the people behind the development of One Click Root. I can assure you our software does not contain viruses or any other malicious code.
The poster above me is correct. We currently don't have support for HTC devices as we're still working on a few of the finer details of automating HTCDev.com bootloader unlocking. We do hope to add support for HTC devices in the near future, along with a number of the most popular new devices on the latest ICS and Jelly Bean OS versions.

Hi all!
Tomorrow I will receive my new phone and send away my beloved Note 2.
I have loved the note series but I was too pissed off with Samsung shying away from 6" and giving us a measly .18" display increase on the Note 3 so I decided to try something else.
I have been reading a lot and learning about accessories for the phone etc. And of course ready to root and try a ROM and OCing righaway.
So just wanted to say hi to my new community!

Nay, you need root to install recovery, but you can use recovery without unlocking your bootloader. You can't flash custom ROMs (CM/Omni/PA/modified stock) without unlocking it though.

Well, since you mentioned it, i'm not that sure anymore. If it's possible to flash a modified stock ROM with a locked bootloader, it doesn't include AOSP ROMs, since i know that you must have an unlocked bootloader to flash those because of signatures etc.
(Feel free to correct me, people!)

To elaborate, you can't use custom kernels with locked bootloaders. The signatures mismatch and thus, the ROM doesn't work. That includes AOSP kernels obviously.
Unlocked bootloaders don't check the kernel signature and thus, you can use custom kernels. ROMs have nothing to do with it. The 'custom' ROM being mentioned uses a stock kernel, so it can run on both LB and UB.
Basically,
Locked ---> Stock kernel from Sony only.
Unlocked ---> All kernels.

I too have come to the X Z U from a SG Note2. I had been contemplating the note3 but the region locking killed that idea.
Now the Note 2 seems ordinary size, and smaller phones like toys! And the XZU is definitely faster than the Note 2, even though the latter never felt slow.

What updates did you go out to find yourself? The only biggest update I've done is updating Walkman to the Material design that had been released for the Z2 Tablet. Only inconvenience is them removing the ClearAudio+ button from the front menu...
The problem isn't from the app. The notification that doesn't allow you to login is because Sony has discontinued their Music Unlimited service. The Walkman app doesn't know this though so you get the error message.
I cleared the message doing this:
1. go to settings
2. turn off Music Unlimited.
I love the Walkman app and hope that Sony doesn't really rebrand it to Music.

We aren't talking about the Walkman app having login problems, we're taking about updating apps from the Update Center. Which quite frankly, Sony confirms it will be discontinued and the feature will instead be integrated with What's New.
As for Sony dropping the Walkman brand, it's a move to get new consumers to know where their music is at since most people around the age of 15 or so didn't get to experience the brand iconic culture before in the 80s and 90s. Better just back it up before the update.
Damn, I thought I was being so helpful.

I don't think there is a way to back up anything you've downloaded from music unlimited if you were a paid subscriber. It's all in Sony's proprietary format I think. It's going to be a pain because 3/4 of my tunes will be gone and I'll have to set it all up again on whatever the replacement provides. Sony should do something for us paid subscribers due to the major inconvenience.

I hear you man. I use to love flashing all my phones but I haven't really dont much modding ot anything like that in a very long time. Today's phones work so good out of the box now a days that I dont really feel the need to. But now with the theme store where you can customize the look of me phone if find it's not even necessary to root or anything like that. I'm extremely happy with my setup. But just looking forward for the official updates to take advantage of all the features oreo has to offer.
