Hello guys, I have been out of the customizing game for awhile and have very recently gotten ahold of a completely stock Verizon S4 that was fully updated to the OF1 software (5.0.1).
I followed these root instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-verizon/general/samsung-s4-i545-verizon-of1-root-t3254434 and that was successful. I installed "Root Checker" just to make sure that root was successful and it told me that it was. I successfully installed BusyBox and then installed the TWRP Manager app. I selected my device from the manager app and it downloaded the TWRP 3.0.2.0 for the jfltevzw, and then it told me that is successfully installed that Recovery.
The phone will boot regularly just fine. However, whenever I try to go into Recovery mode (power button + home button + volume up) I get a "Start Up Failed" splash screen with the yellow triangle and the tiny text in the top left that says, "Secure Fail: Kernel."
I have included the necessary screenshots so that you guys can see all of the necessary phone information. Did I miss a step? Should I try to manually install TWRP via Odin? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

your bootloader is OF1. you can't use TWRP because the bootloader is locked.
There is no way to use it. You must use FlashFire.
To fix your issue you need to Odin this file: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24415232478677245
Thank you for the answer!

I've flashed a custom ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S III I9300. And then I wanted to return to the original stock ROM. Including touch-whiz. So I've used this toolkit to repair it. Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703488
I used option number 8. It downloaded the rom fine. I've extracted it using the program. Then used to odin3 to flash it. And Now it's stuck in a bootloop.
What can I do: I can enable download mode. Thats the only thing that's still working.

Flash it via Odin, boot into recovery, do a factory reset

Hello, so today I bricked my phone (by restarting it into recovery) and now, it's stuck at LG logo. I cannot open recovery, can't do hardreset... Only thing I can do is open S/W Upgrade screen (I have unlocked bootloader) but if I want to flash stock rom via KDZ, I can't, because when I press normal web upgrade, it automatically downloads newer version of B2C and open a window, where it says that I have latest version of system. When I tried to flash it via LG Flash Tool, I get this error (tried several .kdz and ports). Thank you for your help .

Can you go in fastboot mode (using this)? If yes then just flash a recovery and then flash a custom rom. I used LG FlashTool once and have that problem too (6secs download fail).
If you want to flash stock ROM with KDZ, do exactly every step in the guide thread. It downloads a newer version of B2C maybe because you forgot edit hosts file or run shttps.
EDIT: Fastboot flash recovery worked, thank you so much for help!
Hi guys, I am new here. I rooted my grand 2 and installed cm 12.1 rom . My phone is working properly but I no longer have root access. It is even confirmed by Root Checker(It says "Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device."). I tried to flash superSU from the recovery mode. But I cannot even go to the recovery mode manually(Vol Up + power button + home button). I had installed CWM 6.0.5.1 while rooting the device and now it seems it has been erased. Whenever I try to enter recovery manually it takes me to the download mode. I tried flashing CWM again using odin. But it keeps failing. I do not understand where the problem is. Please help!!!
In CM12.1 First enable Developer Options in Settings by tapping Build Number 7 times and then on Developer Options

1) Flash stock rom via odin (stuck at 'getting pit file' or 'no pit file found' on odin)
2) Flash stock rom+pitfile via odin (stuck at 'nandwrite start')
3) Flash FullRom+pitfile via odin (stuck at 'nandwrite start')
4) We also tried to flash FullRom+pitfile via Z3x Box (show 'pass' but still stuck)
Condition:
-Most of us has rooted our device, but there also non-root device that having same problem
-using custom recovery(twrp)
-running on Stock Kitkat4.4.4 (since there no custom rom for our device)
Is there any chance to revive our phone??? Please help us fixing this problem
Hello, I need to install recovery on my phone, downloading TWRP from the official site. Successfully flash, but my recovery does not work. Bootloader I'm unlocked. I've tried multiple versions but still the same. Will anyone please advise what to do with this? Thanks
Heyyo, hmm are you following a guide such as this one?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/how-to/protocol-backup-stock-rom-flash-stock-t3517151
That's what I followed for my x829 and it worked flawlessly for me
I have already tried this according to these instructions. Still the same result, recovery can not control. Extract from cmd, am I doing something wrong?

Fastboot boot =/= fastboot flash
Fastboot boot is a temporary attempt to boot from your recovery image - once you end the session, you are still just working on stock recovery. You need to do fastboot flash recovery rec.img or whatever the filename is. Boot is intended to ensure compatibility before full installation.
It still does not work to do what I do... I install the Recovery, but I do not want to click anything on it...
Install this https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767101877
It does not help, I still can not control recovery... I do not know what to do anymore.
