[QUESTION]How to flash dev rom properly?

first of all i downloaded the latest dev rom available then i.e- "miui_HMNote3ProGlobal_6.9.22_91df209107_6.0.zip"
i used the updater app to flash but it always says "can't verify package"
so my kenzo is locked and i was unable to do anything using fastboot and recovery
so i went to edl mode used miflash to flash the rom
everything was going well until it said that i didnt have enough space and then i messed up everything by leaving edl mode and then had to get my kenzo fixed
what should i do to get to dev rom now?
ask for and get official bootloader unlock.
unlock bootloader, then flash using fastboot.
FWIW, 6.9.29 is the latest official global.
If you want to flash using updater, you have to go back to 6.8.18 through updater, then go forward using updater.

i have already applied for official permission and i'am stuck on 50% in MiUnlock application,
here " http://xiaomitips.com/guide/how-to-solve-bootloader-unlock-process-stuck-at-50/ " it says
"First, make sure you have updated your phone to MIUI Developer ROM and you have been using for few days (7 days or more). If this doesn’t help you with any luck then try the next possible workarounds below."
and i was wondering if we have a way to flash dev rom on locked bootloader

I flash on global stable rom (8.0.1.0 and 8.0.2.0) and no issues.
Are you signed into the i.mi.com site using the exact same credentials? I unlock using my email and I've done it about a dozen times since so many roms have locked the bootloader after I've flashed, never an issue.
I didn't wait more than 30 min after receiving the sms indicating I had permission to unlock.
I was having the same issue. Today, following I did the update successfully using this tutorial: http://en.miui.com/thread-235865-1-1.html
I used that guide to flash my new phone with locker bootloader with 8.0.1.0 Stable since my phone came with a vendor rom that FC'd when I tried to add a fingerprint. The guide worked perfectly. Just make sure to use the latest version of the MiFlash tool. Some of the older versions will fail to flash.

Flash global dev from global stable using updater on phone?

I'm on global stable 8.0.4.0. I have downloaded global dev 6.11.24 and placed on internal storage in downloaded rom folder without changing name of zip file. Do I need to go into recovery and wipe data before flashing? Or can I just go straight to update. I have locked bootloader and stock recovery. Hoping I'll be able to unlock officially after the switch. Maybe waste of time but would love yes love to pass 50% in unlock. Lol... Maybe i should do nothing for a few days and try again to unlock?

Redmi 5 Plus Fake Global Rom Issue

I bought Redmi 5 plus last month..
It was with Nougat 7.1.2 in the form of Miui 9.2.0.2..
I checked in official Udater app and it shows no update available.. But in Xiaomi Forum I found a official update to Miui 9.2.6..
Some users told that I m using a fake Miui Rom which was preinstalled in my phone..Anyone has any idea about it..?
One more thing, In Developer option I found my bootloader is unlocked but OEM Unlocking option is not available (Follow the arrow marks in last Screenshot).. A Unlocked sign also appears when I restart my phone..Now my question is my bootloader is locked or unlocked..?
Thanks.
Hey.
It looks like your phone is unlocked. If you have adb Enabled on your phone then you can easily just flash TWRP and a custom rom. Such as xiaomi.eu.
Not too sure if you need mi unlock tool.
Same thing with mine. I suggest you flash a custom Rom like Xiaomi EU or go with the official Firmware on the Mi site.
If you go with the custom roms, you'll need only the TWRP via ADB.
If you'd go with the official, there is an instruction on how to on the site, but they suggest you use the MiFlash tool.
It seems like the seller has already unlocked your bootloader in advance. The problem with this though is that it's going to be a pain when your bootloader will be locked as it is already bound to another device. If you want to go back to stock, I advise flashing the fastboot files using Xiaomi ADB instead of using the MiFlash tool as MiFlash could relock your bootloader.
Any successful solution yet? I have exactly the same situation as the problem described here. I also have a Redmi 5 Plus. MIUI 9.2.0.2. Showing as "unlocked" under Developer options but if checked through fastboot oem device-info, "device unlocked: false"; "devise critical unlocked: false".

It does not have Band 28 LTE frequency support.

relock situation

What's the score with relocking the bootloader.
Trying to sell my mi8 and want it original.
I'm not sure if my unit is Chinese or global variant as it was bought of ebay
Use mi flash program with global stable fastboot rom. When flashing choose the clean and lock option. This will wipe everything from your device returning to full stock with locked bootloader.

Question POCO X3 GT (chopin) - How to change from GLOBAL firmware to INDONESIA stock firmware?

I have the GLOBAL version of POCO X3 GT (chopin) 8GB/256GB and its a good device but the Google Dialer is making the whole phone unusable becuase of its Call Recording.
1) It does not have Automatic recording for all calls
2) Even after manually recording calls it takes ages to search for recorded files as there is no way to access them.
I do not want to root my phone for security reasons however I came across some posts which mention that the INDONESION firmware has MI Dialer & Contacts instead of Google which is enough incentive to void my warranty and try to change firmwares.
It has been a couple of years since I last played with custom roms, bootloader, fastboot flashing, etc. So I would appreciate if you guys can help me with a few questions:
1) Bootloader unlocking: Whats the best method for Poco X3 GT
2) Method to flash different region stock firmware
3) Is it safe to re-lock the bootloader after the new region firmware is flashed? or do I need to leave the bootloader unlocked?
1. use the official xiaomi bootloader unlock tool
2. Easy, just download the region fastboot rom you want and extract them. Flash via MiFlash -- pay attention to tick clean all in the corner of the screen if you don't want your device to be bricked
3. don't relock, if you lock the bootloader on other region firmware, you will be bricked

Oddly enough, this was not my experience. I unlocked my bootloader, flashed the Indonesia version 13.0.5.0 fastboot image using MiFlash using the clean all option. Then after booting and setting up the phone, it offered the update for version 14.0.1.0. I let the phone complete the update. Once the update finished and the phone had booted up again I rebooted it to bootloader mode and ran the command fastboot oem lock. The phone went through a factory reset and then booted successfully to the new phone setup dialogue.
Also to mention that I did also experience problems with 5GHz WiFi with version 13.0.5.0 but these problems were resolved after the version 14.0.1.0 update.

Even after update to 14.0.1.0 my 5Ghz wifi did not work. After waiting months I have just flashed back to global 14.0.2.0.TKPMIXM firmware yet still 5Ghz wifi is not working. Can someone guide how to fix it? Have I messed up its baseband or something during flashing?
Still unlocked bootloader?
As a comparison, whenever I unlock the bootloader on my Nokia 7 Plus and flash a custom ROM, I am not able to use 5GHz WLAN. It only works after relocking the bootloader and flashing stock firmware.
I am not sure if this was the same with the X3 GT and I cannot test it anymore as my wife took the phone and I am now using a X4 GT.
