I'm searching for a method to customize the "Quick Settings" available on our Z3V Lock Screen. I've spent a couple of days trying various methods - but the Xperia skin seems to have the lock screen, and the quick settings, locked down. Even GravityBox (Xposed) was useless.
My main goal here is to add the "Screen Mirroring" Quick Setting to the Lock Screen. The uniqueness of the Xperia skin and the fact that that particular Quick Setting is not available on the Lock-Screen version of the Quick Setting is making that part difficult.
This is a rooted Verizon Xperia Z3V (D6708) running Android 5.1.1
If anyone has any tips, mods, or experience working with the lock screen (or getting Screen Mirroring into the Lock Screen) - I'm looking for your help. Thank you :good:
Attaching an image to show the quick settings page for clarification. Screen Mirroring, visible there, is NOT visible on the lock screen. But I want it to be.

I recently flashed the latest version of Cyanogenmod on my g tablet and I love it. Everything works great except one thing...
There's no lock screen that appears when I wake it up or turn it on. It skips the unlock gesture, and the lock pattern that I set. I don't care about the first unlock so much as the second, since this thing has my google account information in it.
Has anyone run into this? I've checked every Cyanogenmod setting and regular Android setting I can think of:
CM Settings: Lockscreen Settings: General: Style Options: Rotary
: Lockscreen Gestures: None checked
Locations & Security Settings: Screen Unlock: Use Visible Pattern: Checked
: Change Screen Lock: Pattern set
Any ideas?
ETA: I should also add that the tablet doesn't seem to go to sleep on its own. I've changed the setting for screen off to 5 minutes.
Have you tried Settings --> CyanogenMod Settings --> Tablet Tweaks --> Disable Lockscreen?

Face palm. Thank you. I didn't think to look there. That was the problem.

I am sure that there are several screen locker apps in the Market.
And there are some nice mods in Development forums for imitating HTC Sense, Apple iPhone, Google IceCreamSandwich screen locker, etc..
So, you have to take the time to search yourself.
But have you already tried to use a pattern with standard screen locker?
Menu => Settings => Location and Security => Use pattern
And set a nice Photo as background?
Menu => Settings => Display => Screen => Screen lock - Background picture
I did.
The main problem with the android screen lock is that it miss the delay setting (wait xx minutes before activate the screen lock).
Has anyone worked out how to change the icons on the bottom of the lock screen yet?
I will be surprised if Samsung left us no way to change these but I guess it may require a file hack
Settings/security/lockscreen options/shortcuts.
Settings - Security - Lock Screen Options - Shortcuts
You can change them from there
Thanks for the quick replies guys, can't believe I didn't see that there!
I know that the other Samsung lockscreen widgets only work with Swipe enabled - is Dashclock the same way? Thanks

I just picked up my phone yesterday, and this was one of the first things that I had to figure out. Here are the steps that I took to get it enabled:
Go to Settings > My Device > Lock Screen
Enable the "Multiple widgets" by checking on the box.
Lock the Screen and Unlock it.
You should see the default clock / personalized message still there. Swipe down on the clock/message and you'll see the box expand. At this point, you can swipe within the extended box left and right. Go to a new tab (will have a plus sign). Select DashClock and there you have it. You'll have to move some stuff around if you want it to be your default lock screen.
Took me a little tinkering, but it's almost to where I want it.

So this will only work if Swipe is enabled? I use pattern and find using both Swipe and pattern redundant. I have to perform two actions to unlock my phone then.

Yeah, never understood why that was like that on my old phone. I have swipe currently enabled right now, I honestly haven't tried with any other unlocking method... Hold on...
Swipe seems to be the only Lock Screen that allows for "Multiple Widgets", other security options do not even allow for the option.
The problem I had with dash clock and Nils was that there is a default notification that takes focus built into the lock screen. I have yet to figure out how to remove that notification. I would always have to swipe left to see my dashclock or Nils notifications. Very frustrating.
True. Even after I've deleted all of the extra lock screen windows and made DashClock my primary lock screen, I'll still see the default/stock notifications window.
I'm wondering if it's a Verizon thing, because I've seen videos where the DC messages notification will pull up correctly (and not to the default bulky notification).
I don't know if you ever found a solutionbut, I ended up switching the message app to handcent and the default notification didn't pop up.
So that's an option.

for the life of me i could not find the options to add to the swipe to unlock on dashclock and 2 days later i find your bit here just want to thank you. my mind is not at rest lol
rapidly loosing the patience with this issue.
so essentially i want to apply a new theme. To do this i go into the theme store, download the theme I want & select apply. The whole theme applies.
To customise it i then go: theme store > me > customise > i then have the option to select the following:
- lock screen style
- lock screen wallpaper
- home screen wallpaper
- icons
- text style
i can change the home screen wall paper no issues & it will apply, but when i try to change the lockscreen wall paper even if i choose one of the presets (eg not a photo from my the gallery) then i get the following message "keep the current lock screen style? if you discared it, Magazine unlock will be used instead" .
If I select keep them I keep the theme of the lockscreen but it means i have to use the image it comes with ie i can't change it to my own preferred photo.
If I select discard then it automatically reverts back to magazine unlock theme for lockscreen though will apply my desired image.
I have trawled google to find resolutions to this including enabling developer mode, which didnt make a difference. Other sources say trying the following:
settings > home screen & wallpaper > magazine unlock and just slide it off
or
or Screen lock & password > Magazine unlock
but neither of the above options are avaialbe to me under settings.
I also found something about managing subscriptions & stopping auto download but again those options I cannot find on my device.
this issue is occuring on both m10pro & my new p30. It's strange this issue is occuring on both devices which are running diffferent software & also have different huawei ID accounts.
m10p is running emui 9.1.0
p30 is running emui 10.0
it seems a basic function to be able to choose lockscreen style I want & the wall paper I want & if i can't do this then honestly tempted to just get rid of the device. Also magazine unlock has auto downloaded over 800 wallpapers to my device (m10p) I don't want this happening on the p30 but as above i can't seem to find a way to stop it on either device.
