Hi everyone,
I need some help with pairing the bluetooth with my Touch2.
Followed the instructions for the headphones, everything happens as it should (red and blue light flashes alternately on the headset), but the phone won't see the headset.
Later I saw on the headset box that bluetooth version is "V2.0 + EDR", on the other hand on my Touch2 box b'tooth version is "2.1 + EDR and A2DP".
Is the difference between b'tooth versions the reason that they don't pair, or something else causes the problem?
Long Press the power button of blutooth headset, then search headset in the Touch2.
Good luck!
I'm sorry for my English!

I managed to pair, but first i had to replace the bluetooth headset because it wasn't working properly. I was lucky my friend had the same b'tooth headset, we tried with his and it was a success. It was a bit hard to convince the guy in the store that headset wasn't working properly before i bought it, so everyone: TEST YOUR ACCESSORIES IF YOU CAN IN THE STORE THE VERY MOMENT YOU BUY IT.
Thanks for the answer anyway
Hi there,
I've got really strange problem with my XPERIA MINI PRO - when I plug in the headphones, the phone wouldn't recognize them.
Only if I've had them plugged before BOOT of my phone.
So, when Iam turning on / rebooting my phone with plugged phones, they're working and recognized, but when I disconnect them, same problem -> phone ignores it.
So, my xperia mini pro can't recognize the action of plugging in phones in general. Have tried official kernel, custom kernel, few roms and its deffinitely a hardware problem.
Does anyone knows how does this phone recognize that? And what might be my problem?
Thanx for any ideas.

i have a similar problem on mine, but mine thinks it has headphones plugged it all the time! i downloaded an app called "headset toggle" it gives you a widget on your home screen to show if headphones are connected or not, and clicking on the icon forces a connect or disconnect of them regardless of wether they are connected or not, should fix your problem:
http://code.google.com/p/toggleheadset/
edit: just to add i have 4.0.4 and it works perfect on my phone
Headset not recognising
i am facing the similar problem...... my headset is also not detecting when i plug in, detecting only when i reset my phone and when i unplug again it's not detecting. i face this problem since i update my mobile to latest version (ICS 4.0.4)

Hello,
I had the exact same problem. It was a hardware problem. The only way is to take it in for service as I did. was repaired at electronics level.
Is it possible to solve this problem with headphones? Any app? Toggleheadset does not work for me. Thanks

did you use a SE headphone or a normal headphone?
i got similar problem. If jack isnt plugged in, there are some electronical noises in microphone, so i cant use, if i remove jack, the phone doesnt recognize. i ToggleHeadset, now microphone works good, and recognized that i removed the jack
what hardware causes this problem? i ask it because i bring my mini pro friday to the service, and maybe i'll ask about it there for repair.

This is a halfway software solution to make the phone work, for a complete repair i believe taking the phone to service is necessary.
I have a hardware problem where xperia mini pro (Stock Rom ICS 4.0.4) is constantly detecting headphones connecting and disconnecting. This stops all the multimedia with sound, so it was impossible to start a music file or video because it was automaticly paused).
Disabling the Live ware app (connect now app) did not help,
This may not work for people who can not make phone play music or videos after headphones are inserted,
I managed to solve problem with software and by inserting headphones in the jack once every boot.
You need 2 apps; soundabout and toggleheadset2 (widget),
soundabout does not need to be registered), you will just need to set soundabout service to run on every boot, and set the 'media audio' output to speaker by default.
Every time phone is booted or rebooted insert the headphones, then play a song, remove the headphones and toggle headset to off, every time you wish to use the headphones you will need to toggle the headset widget to on manually,
i recommend to have phone calls and messages also set to vibrate in case you forget to toggle after unplugging the headphones.
I have not yet managed to get working the headset microphone,
If the headphones work in iPhone they wont work in Xperia mini pro or arcs or 2011 device , u need JVC gummy plus , they come with adaptor to sort the problem
Sent from my SK17i using xda app-developers app
There is 2 headphone and Mic standards omtp and cita and only one headphone standard, older Xperia used a differnt standard to what they use today , everyone jumped on the iPhone standard

Hi guys,
I'm very new to Androi devices and am using the Samsung Galaxy Player 5 (international) as a head-unit in my car.
I'm trying to connect an external switch between the MIC and GND ports. This was working for a while, but it seems like after I installed a new ROM (Eryigit) the switch stopped working?!
I did some searching around and concluded that the kernel may be responsible for handling the headset buttons. Can anybody shed some light on this? Are there some kernels that may be broken and not support? Any low-level troubleshooting i can do to trace down the problem?
I have tried installing various Headset controlling applications but none of them recognize the press.
Does anybody know of a kernel / rom combination that works for sure with the headset?
I've spent countless hours searching and researching. Please HELP!!!

All of the kernels here are based on the stock one, so that should not be an issue. For troubleshooting, you can run as root in a terminal on the device 'getevent', which will output the scancode of sorts when you press a button.
Thanks for the lead.
I ran getevent and didn't see any events come up when pressing the headset button.
I ran a logcat and saw that HeadsetOperation entry said "mic: 0". Could that mean it's not properly detecting that I've inserted a headset with a mic?

Most likely, yes.

I recently purchased a rikomagic 802 IIIs (running android 4.1) and a mele f10 air mouse for a home entertainment system. I was remapping the buttons to common media functions like play pause next and previous and I noticed that there is a button that looks like it should be a menu button, but it doesn't do anything. Upon further research I found that the button is recognized as mouse button 3 or middle click. Does anyone know of a way to remap mouse buttons? I would really like to remap this button for menu.

Anyone have experience with this device? I've had it for a month now and works great! I've tried it with my phone (Samsung S4) and PC laptop running windows 7. Also just tried it with CS968 Android box and all works great except audio issues with S4. Also I cannot get the built in speaker to work. The mic works but the tiny speaker which is positioned to be used as a Skype phone only gives white noise. If I try and use it as a Skype phone I get white noise through the tiny speaker and the audio through the TV etc but mic works through remote. If I plug in earbuds to the remote the sound comes through earbuds and mic still works on the remote. Thought it would be nice to use as a phone since I use Freephoneline.ca and it works great. Kinda cool to be answering your remote control...LOL.
Thanks in advance!

hey friends.
My wife is using the tablet (5.1) to learn how to play the piano using an app.
everything is going well other than the fact the tablet mic doesn't seem to pick up some notes correctly, and when she practices it either says she didn't hit the right note or didn't hit any at all.
i wanted to know if i can somehow connect an external mic (simply connecting one didn't work) that will be more... receptive?
on the bonus side, id prefer if i can hook up a mic AND a headphones or use an app to have the speakers work while the mic is plugged in (because the piano apps gives directions and uses a metronome)
please assist?
thank you!
Please help?
I suppose connecting only external mic is not possible, but you can try to connect wired headset or bluetooth ones should work for you.
