Hello guys, I am sharing this post made by @skyinfo because their kernel improves performance on CM11 @weritos (and/or other 4.4.4 ROMS) and since no thread has been made about it, many people don't know about it.
Use this to eliminate lags on weritosCM11 and others.
SKernel:- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60466694&postcount=339
Enjoy.
anyway could someone on cm10.2 also test this?

Read carefully. XDA-00 didn't create this kernel. It's made by skyinfo.
Anyway, device development is kind of dead.

Nope!(you can still try). But still some kernels are available for our device.

Hello there! I've a question: I had Slimkat rom in my Galaxy S3 (I9300) but for many reason I moved to Resurrection Remix, everything is ok except the bad audio recording quality, the bad consumption of battery and an anomalous heating of CPU and battery in the daily use. I have the stock kernel, should I try to change it with someone else? If yes, which? Can you post the links?
Sorry for my bad english. Be patient :silly:

There are couple of kernels that you can use with Resurrection Remix: Boeffla, GoogyMax2 and Agni.
Boeffla is more popular for soundmods though.
They're mentioned in the ROM thread as well.
Please check development section for kernel threads.

Someone recommended Onmi version when I checked last time. You can ask RR users on the main thread for their opinion.
I've personally used CM version and it worked fine except a few things here and there.
Note: If you have camera issues, you can check Rohan's Camera Fix in Apps, Themes section. I used v2.3 and worked best for me

Wrong kernel = bootloop
In severe cases even permanent damage (esp if you flash for wrong device). Most of the times it's nothing to worry about though. Just make sure you check the version with ROM users first.
Nandroid is fine and make /efs backup (not needed atm but always crucial for future uses). :good:

Done! It helped a lot
The roms that i've teseted
So in the begining of this there was only one rom for 5.0
Which is the firsr unoff cyanogenmod
So i flashed it with the gapps but there was a lot of bugs (no storage , no gps ,,,)
So i returned back to cloudyg3
Then the second thread for the cyanogenmod was relased so i flashed the rom but with the same bugs i decided to wait for offi..
Then another one by gabmus was relased this one was good with me.. With only a few bugs like chatting apps even with that i used it daily till the liquidsmooth relase
It was the best with no bugs even the video playback works fine so it's the best one there
What i used :
Twrp 2.8.1.1
Gapps
Beta superSU
Hope it was useful
Sorry for bad eng

This being the guy who deletes the entire CM code tree multiple times when he gets confused? Has trouble using supersu in cm (wtf?) Can't figure out a boot loop in his own ROM and gets on IRC to help fix it?
Good luck with that.

Also there are test builds for aicp based on 5.0 that I ran the better part of today and I didn't find any issues. Knock on works.

It is based on Lineage, a new base but for you as a user changes only the kernel, not more.
Nice snappy ROM, phone seems quite hot though, CPU at 75c after a few mins of regular usage, will judge battery over then next couple if days.
Everything else seems OK at the moment.

What 910 Variant have you got mate? And what BL & Modems (Last MM)?
Runs nicely here (N910F - dpl2-dpj1), fast and simple (same bugs as CM14.1 = autorotation and wrong time and date on rom & twrp). Substratum 490 works, not 519... Twrp 3 mone3 works, have to try to restore a backup to see if it keeps settings.
BT, camera, wifi, lte and recents are working.
Many many thanks for this "beta" !
