Best headset for Xperia Z2 - Xperia Z2 Accessories

Hey guys
Last week I had lost my xb90
So now I am looking around for a new headset i found these three
1- Sony MDR-NC31
2- Sony MDR-NC750
3- Sony Xba-a1ap
I had never try the Digital Noise Canceling headset so i am just confused about them..
Can anyone tell me that there is any difference in terms of sound quality between Sony NC31 and NC750..
Specially after updating to (MM 6.0) because Sony clams that NC750 will support Hi-Res audio..
Please reply
Thanks..

i've heard the nc31 doesn't have that good bass. which you probably love seeing you had xb90. it's why i bought another extra bass earphone instead of the noise cancelling ones. the reviews said NC works like magic but the bass is low

i'm using mdr-xb50ap. it's amazing. xtra bass but also a good amount of treble if and when needed. you can certainly get better ones with the budget of noise cancelling earphones. i wasn't sure about them so i settled for this and i'm quite happy. and sorry i took quite a while to respond.

I'll recommend MDR-XB70AP (INR 2500/-) ebay offer price.
@ present i'm using SONY XBA-A1AP (INR 6500/-) bought from ebay.

I got the SOUNDMAGIC E50 which are amazing looking and it`s an amazing feeling with that memory foam technology for a better feeling and more clearance and a better bass. a must have is the BASSULTIMATE v10 +beta33 SOUNDMOD for the Z2 MM! MUCH BETTER HEADPHONE EXPERIENCE WITHOUT ANY CRACKLING

I have used
SoundMagic ES18
Sennheiser cx180
and now Sony MDR-XB50AP.

I've used:
-Sennheiser Cx300-II Precision.
-Sony MDR NC31EM.
-Sennheiser MM30g.
-JBL T100A.
-HTC Black In-Ear.
-HTC Max 300.
-Sony MDR NC750.
-JBL T280A.
If you want good bass; I'd recommend Cx300-II;
if you want good mids; I'd recommend T280A;
if you want good upper tones; I'd recomment T280A;
However, if you want to listen your music the better, louder, richer, clearer way; then you need an HTC One M8 or another upper HTC device with the black In-Ear HTC earphones. Sony is really bad at audio quality.
As for the NC31EM and NC750M, the so called "noise cancelling" cancels the noice by making some "hiss" sound at a very low decibel so your ears think it doesn't hear anything from the outer world.
However, any of the JBL or Sennheiser in-ear phones have better noice cancelling than these headsets. Their microphones are on the ear sides, so the call quality is terrible.
As for the music, they don't give anything promising in their price-range, they're just "SONY" .
The mids are very loud, I mean VERY loud, compared to upper and lower tones, they just eat your ear on high volumes, even without modding volume levels.
So you'll be wasting your money if you buy one of these.

Wait, what? The Sony's are amazing at audio quality, I should know, I have an Xperia Z2. HTC's skewer the audio towards more bass, heck too much bass, they ruin the mids and highs completely. It was worse when they had the Beats Audio tech, but it was improved with the M9, I can only speak on audio of the M9 because that's what I had experience with.
I played 'With Love' album, some Above & Beyond, a couple of songs from Monstercat, and some Frank Ocean, and the HTC's boosted the bass way too much on all of them and squashed the Mids and Highs. The Xperia by comparison was more accurate, it did put less bass than the HTC, but didn't squash the highs and mids to get there. Granted, the HTC did sound louder and the Xperia was quieter in comparison, (used with Sol Republic Tracks V8, LG Tonepro HBS 760 and Samsung Level Active Bluetooth In-earphones. Heck, I even used a Logitech G230 Gaming Headset.) but in terms of how the songs project I'd prefer the Xperia because they sound more real and not artificial. Also, the Xperias have SIGNIFICANTLY more granular tweaking with the audio quality.
My friend swears by her NC31EM used with Xperia Z3 Compact, they do block out almost all noise (except when screaming directly next to her) and the sound is well balanced and there's a good kick of bass...

I'm using xiaomi hybrid, good sound quality per price but when I turn on fm radio all I hear is headset's microphone sound... ?

who's using z2 paired with sbh80?

the z2 i get doesn't come with the MDR-NC31EM noise cancelling headphones. so i'm think why not get the newest bt headphone and give it a try?
the thing about sbh80 most attractive to me is the aptX and noise canceling.
but before pulling the trigger, it would be great if someone already have this pair gives your opinion... good/bad/ugly
Sorry to hijack your thread. I don't own sbh80. Just wanted to know what's the use of aptX?

I don't think the sbh80 has noise cancellation, when I was on calls, it sound very good, the other end can hear me clearly, it sound like a regular Bluetooth headset.
The NC31EM earphone is a true NC earphone, music sound varies a little according to the surrounding, you will hear some hiss on and off if the music is on pause, I haven't had a call conversation with it yet, so I can't compare the two on voice calls.
The SBH80 is a nice headset, it is very convenient to use, it sits around your neck when you don't use it, the control button is a bit small, I use my left hand to press the buttons on the right side, then right hand for the left side, it sound much better than the SBH52, as good as the MWV1.

What headset are you using?

So, I'm currently using the Bose QuietComfort 20 with my beautiful Z3 and aside from the stellar audio quality, I'm thinking of getting something else. I don't like the rectangular block on it and find that I don't use the noise cancelling as much as I thought I would. Perhaps because I'm typically using them while on the streets of NYC, and fear that if I cancel outside noise, I'll quickly become road-kill.
This leads me to my question - what is the best headset out their that still takes advantage of the phone's built-in audio settings (yes, including the noise cancellation)? My guess is that you need to use a Sony headset to be able to use the NC built in to the phone, and while I won't be a big user of it, for those rare times, I'd like to have the option. For my own purposes, I prefer in-ear/ear-buds.
So, what say you? What is the way to go? Let's perhaps offer suggestions with price not a factor, and another suggestion that considers cost.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
I use an MEElectronics M-Duo costs $50-60 but performs as good as many $100+, has very good reviews everywhere.
Its not very noise isolating, but its makes up for it in every other way. It can also take a lot of abuse. I prefer this to my $100 Bose IE2 earphones.

Thanks guys! I guess the question is, what functionality built into our Z3's do we lose when using non-Sony headsets and does it make it worth it to purchase one of the headsets listed within the device? The other question, is why are only those Sony headsets listed (see attached)? They make many other ones, some being highly rated!

HTC used to do the same during the Beats era, it justs sets an equalizer tuned to those Sony headsets, if I am correct.
When I want in-ears, I use Beyerdynamic MMX102IE. They work very well with the Z3 - great sound quality, bass and volume. If I'm going to listen to a podcast or something similar in a noisy environment, I'll use the MDR-NC31EM for the noise cancellation. The latter are good, especially for the price, but they are not as good as the Beyerdynamics for music.
I also use the Beyerdynamic Custom One Pros. They sound awesome, but sometimes I would like more volume from them. I do have a Fiio E6 that I can use them with if I really want to, but it would be nice to get some more power out of the phone. The sound quality is excellent.
Well, I purchased a pair of Degauss Noir's. Should arrive next week and am looking forward to letting y'all know all about them! :good:
Xiaomi Piston 2 works fine with the Z3 (unlike my old Nexus 4...). I can't get the FM radio to work properly though, anyone have any luck?
Marshall Minor for music or original Samsung
Im using STH80 and bass are really good. Midrange is somehow weak

So, based on your comments, I wet out and bought a pair of the SoundTrue Samsung Galaxy version. The middle button only increases volume or if I triple-click, it will skip to next song (while boosting volume 3 clicks). :crying: Not sure why it words for you and not for me - are you using the D6616 version? I cannot imagine this makes a difference, but maybe?
Thanks.

Best sound mod for HiFi earbuds?

Hi guys, I just bought Shure SE315, but music doesn't satisfy me. Mid and High tones are wonderfully clear, I can hear full range and really clean bass, but I ear em very low.
I love powerfully bass, but this audio software doesn't satisfy me.
Which mod do you advice me for my high fidelity earbuds?

Sony phones optimized for Sony ear/headphone in my experiences especially listening with stock music player, you got best experiences with only Sony that's all I can tell you. Not sure about if Viper will improve it but you need root to use Viper sound.

AKG Headphones

Guys,
What are the new supplied headphones like in quality for sound and overall design?
Also Just found this site selling the "official headphones" £29.99 is anyone looking for spare.
http://www.digitalsave.co.uk/offici...-kardon.html?gclid=CPm31oHFtdMCFWwo0wod6jsBIw
Personally, i found them to fit brilliantly, very comfortable, and to me ( i am not a audiophile sorry to say) sound really good, thank you for the link.
Likewise i thought they were a good fit, plus the sound from them sounded (to me) really good with lots of bass that you tend not to get with other stock headphones in ear that i have tried, but im no audiophile either.
As an audiophile I found them to be quite decent for stock headphones. The sound quality is definitely good. I haven't yet had the time to change the ear tips to fit my ears and test if they fall off easy or anything. That being said, I might stick to Bose earphones.
After reading that they are expensive, I was hoping for a way better experience. I like the EarPods/Airpods from Apple way more.
They have way more bass than my B&O headphones I got with the V20. I like'em

That makes me very happy to hear. The main reason I didn't purchase the V2O when it came out was I'd missed out on the pre-order and wouldn't be getting the B&O earbuds. I'm very happy with the AKG set that came with the phone, and really looking forward the the BT AKG headphones I just ordered this morning. That and the memory card I'm looking forward to, along with VR headset / controller.

I felt the sound quality was crystal clear. Treble and vocals are crisp but bass was on disappointing side. It isn't as punchier as the one's we get with HTC One series. Maybe I need to tweak equalizer more to get that heavier bass but default settings didn't sound deep enough. Again, I maybe wrong.
I'm pretty sure this is one more of those cases where you get a practically different product for different markets, but the ones I got in Serbia are pretty crappy :/ I'm no audiophile, but compared to my cheap Xiaomi Piston 3, these are so tinny, low-volume and just plain bad I was actually thrilled when I saw them, tried them right away, but just put them back in the box after 2 minutes...
They're not bad. Pretty clear high end and decent mids but somewhat underwhelming low-end. Still better than the buds that came with my S6E and Galaxy Tab 4 7.0.

I agree. The clarity is great. They def lack bass though. Not bad for free tho. And I appreciate the fabric overlay on the cord

I learned a while ago not to trust loose Samsung headsets.
I've bought replacements for 2 different Samsung "included" headsets, and in both cases the originally included headset sounded great while the replacements sounded cheap.
Their sound profile is slightly U shaped with emphasize on the bass & highs. Not really neutral or truly high end but by far the best stock earphones that I've ever heard.
I'm a musician and I own Sennheiser HD650, HD600, Shure SE425, Etymotic ER4P & AKG K702 with several dedicated headphone amps, so I know what I'm talking about...
I persoanlly think these headphones are the best of any inbox headphones I've ever used and I've used a lot.
Dont forget to use the equaliser aswell it can enhance the sounds for more clarity base and so on.
To be honest, they sound good but are poor in quality. They're cheap plastic and the right one on my pair has driver flex like crazy.
These AKG headphones are ip68/waterproof or not ?
I thought the stunk when I first tried them. I use PowerAmp and found that I had to go in and adjust the equalizer for both headphones and BT.
Very Happy Now!
I deleted Google Play Music before realizing that it was the default music player for the S8 series. I would assume it needs the same tweaks as Power Amp.

Boat 225 vs JBL C100SI

Hello guys I am planning to buy a new headphone.
So can you tell me which one is better JBL C100SI or boat bassheads 225???
THANKS IN ADVANCE!
I have recently ordered Boat 225... I will give an update about that after I receive the product...
Boat 225 has high bass while JBL C100SI is more balanced. Matter of personal choice. I had same question few weeks back and finally settled with JBL C100SI.
I have boat bassheads 225 and gotta admit their built quality is top notch. They are metal so a bit heavy but stay in ear with the help of accesories. Bass is the best thing about them
Sent from my LenovoA3300-GV using Tapatalk
I received it yesterday and checked it with different phones... Generally the bass is great with this earphone...But on miui with mi sound enhancer enabled, the bass level is great... don't know about any custom sound mod... The mic works perfect...I tested it during call and sound recording...And there was no background noises...
The only problem i am facing is that it doesn't fit in my ear...At first even with the accessories it wasn't fitting (or you can say I couldn't make it stay in my ear) at first...But after some time it fits...But after using for some time it hurts (also happened to me with Sony Bluetooth headphone). Maybe because of the accessories... Maybe my ear is different than the makers of this headphone as this happened to me with other headphones too... xD
Anyway the product is good... You can give it a try...
