You just like root manager because it can mount in root modus but i think when it could not do that(i mean root modus), it would not even on the 10th place ... there is one positiv aspect of root manager, when you use dropbox you dont need a secound explorer

i use eFile i woulr recommend it to every one, because of the first page when you open the manager i also used astro, but if you play with the setting in astro you get 3 or 4 new apps in your drawer ;(
I prefer Root Explorer. Only this app can set permissions for system files.

That is the reason why i wrote "Root Explorer (dont vote just becouse of the root)" because you must use this app to edit your root there are no other apps that can do that!
But my question is which is the best File Manger. And i must say i have also Root explorer but i never set the permisions to write(delete) in the root files. and i recommend that to everyone if you delete something wrong you need to restore your whole system so you shold always have a back up before doing such a stupid thing

Hi
How do you change the file manager?
I'm using MiniCM7Prolite V21 which comes with File Manager by Rhythem Software. I prefer ASTRO file manager and want to have that intergrated. Hate having 2 apps doing the same thing.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

You can use Root Explorer for changing system files. But i suggest that, dont delete original custom rom files.
Install also ASTRO
...but that's how you make a custom
that's what it says here

Open the rom and paste app into system/apps and flash rom.
Or build the app into a CWM zip flashable .
Or use something like Android Commander to push the app to system/apps .

Hi
I have always used root browser to manage my files in sdcard and root directory. Lately the app is getting a little "incompatible" with 4.4+. The Dev have also not updated for over a year.
I have tried es file manager: too complicated. Too many features. A mess compared to root browser.
Root explorer: almost the same as root browser, but lacks some stuffs.
I'm looking for a new file manager with good root support and easy use as root browser. A new ui.
Any suggestions ?
FX File Manager.

Ty, for the suggestions, but those are good for regular files like pics and docs.
I'm looking for more unzip, system edit, permissions level
Try X-plore File Manager as it grants root access to nutshell. By the way FX File Manager also supports Root Access to your system. I used to love Root Browser...!

Nope, too clumsy to use.
This new one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-amaze-file-managermaterial-theme-t2937314
Still at an early stage though.
Otherwise you should give a try to Solid Explorer.

Hi, yes. I actually installed this one before I saw your post. I liked it pretty good since it shows the permissions on the file list.
Yes, its early, since a few ui is unthemed/misplaced.
Thanks for the help. I thing amaze will do the thing! ?
