Hi
It's my first post, so if this enquiry is off limits then please let me know.
I use Sony m4 everyday and love the Acqua theme.
I recently bought a cubot x16 with stock 5.1 and will root it, and hopefully mod it to behave like my Sony.
I see that the Xperia xposed thread closed in March, so just trying it would be unsupported if it runs into problems.
Has anyone tried something similar?
I have just seen a similar request, for Thinkwhiz on a thread about cubot x17 so I'll check it out there.
The current position on 5.1 is that it is in beta so xposed isn't going to be easy for a beginner like me.

Maybe there is another way..
I found this is incorrect, xposed is available.

I have a small problem rooting with the Universal Androot beta-version 1.6.2. To root temporarily works perfect, but not rooting the usual way.
Am I doing something wrong?
Can I Flash this device like I did with my phone?
I've recently bought one as well.
Did u succeed rooting it?
And have u been able to add regular Market?
Any progress?
Hi, my brother also just bought one of these (Norway).
Anyone know if there are any successfull rooting kits for this tablet?
I am asking on behalf of my brother, because he does not have access to the internet at the moment.

Rooting
Hi, I'm Glenn, I'm new in the forum
I also bought an Kendo M7, but I can't seem too root it, anyone else done it?
Temp root works, but not permanent... Is there a custom rom that I can use, and do I get it to boot from SDCARD?
Rooting NookColor guide, don't work either...
Here is the hardware info:
CPU ABI: armeabi
Board: trout
Brand: rockchip
Device: NTM7U
Okay, now I need a rom for the Kendo M7, I took a chance and made into a "Brick"...
Try searching for KENDO on netlogic.se.
Sorry for not being able to supply a link, but apparently I am not yet allowed to do this :-|
KENDO M5
Slightly off topic, but here it goes.
I have bought a KENDO M5, similar to the M7 but not identical.
Has anyone stumbled over a image for the M5 ?
TIA

Anyway, there's an updated and tweaked image for the kendo m7 over here: http://i.has.asystemapart.com/.swedroid/v3/update.img

Does anyone here knows how to get into recovery-mode in the M7?
Anyone here that has been able to boot into a recovery-state?
I'm using 2.0.1.ECLAIR-2-1.eng.root.201104-twk-m7-006d tweak-image from Netlogic's website.

Original files for development
A while ago I recieved an email from the Swedish reseller called Netlogic with an archive of the original files for this tablet that they got from manufacturer Yifang Digital somehow.
If you still have this tablet in your home, please feel free to use this, but at your own risk.
First thing to do is to find out what kind of bootloader it's running.
I haven't found any site to upload the archive to so just send me a PM & I'll try to send it to you somehow.
Upgrade for PoV Mobii Trackball or Kendo M7

Hello guys, i really need some help, here's the thing:
I got myself a 7'' tablet a week ago, i'm pleased with it (good build, nice specs and overall good build quality), but i can't seem to root it.
I have tried everything, z4root, SuperOneClick, SRS Root, Doomlord's tool, Bin4ry's tool, even tried to push the files manually via adb but no luck.
Here's the specs:
MID Dino 7.17 - AMLogic SoC - AML8726-MX, 1.5 Ghz Cortex A9 Dual-Core, 1gb Ram, Dual Mali400 GPU and stock Android JB 4.1.1
I can't find anything on the tablet itself, so i guess it falls under the category of "generic". I'm not looking for Roms either, all i want to do is ROOT the damn thing... I even found a flashable zip file somewhere on a spanish forum, flashed it via recovery, but nothing happened. Any ideias?
Problem solved, Admins please remove this thread, i'll be posting a new one on rooting these generic devices on proper section.
so, where is the thread about this tablet ? I cant find it
And this is good or not ? I'm interested in him
Forget this tablet.... Problemas with him.
Now i have a Nexus7... very good...

Check out this thread made by me, it's quick and simple: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2146226
For now i only know how to root it, as for custom roms or recoveries, i quit trying a long time ago, the company that makes the tablet (Digital EmDoor) is one of those chinese companies that don't even have a download page to get the original rom. The tablet itself is actually good, but custom development for it is near impossible unless you're some sort of linux-android genius.
Hope i helped.
Hello Android Hacking Experts!
I bought some days ago a DOOGEE DG800 MTK6582 Kitkat Android (at comebuy.com bought) and I want to install the cyanogenmod. This mod doesn't support my device and I also can't root my smartphone, framaroot doesn't supports it too.
Now are you interesting
Can someone help me rooting my device and installing the cyanogen mod, nearly everything I found at the web doesn't worked.
I hope you can help me. I would be so happy, and if you help me maybe you can win a Paysafecard of 10€ for your hard help

rooting the dg800
Hey there
I just wanted to ask if you ever managed to find a way to root your dg800?
I bought one recently and have also come up short on all the methods I have cone across thus far. . I am also on a Mac so a PC free method would be ideal. So just figured I'd ask if you ever figured it out.
Thanks
[root yes] [cyanogenmod no(t yet]
Hi guys,
I own a doogee valencia myself and I have rooted my phone.
The flashtool that doogee supplies doesnt work very well in my opinion, try to find some other tool.
Also i would recommend the recovery.img of the site needrom.com and then the rom kitkat next from bassrockers.
This way you can install superuser and root the phone.
Cyanogenmod is not yet ported by anyone (I also cant do it), so we have to wait for a really smart dude that will port cyanogenmod for us!
Search the web for info, there is enough! Good luck :good:
I have a Lenovo vibe x2, i used to have windows-phones but since my last one got stolen i thought i would try androids out. Lenovo has now updated vibe X2 to the lollipop upgrade and i can't find a video or anything that will help me root my device.
Plus i have some questions about rooting an android :
1st. does it worth to do so ?
2nd. What will i get from rooting my phone
3rd. Is it dangerous cause my phone might bug and what will i need to do if that happens ?
I would really appreciate someone answering those questions and helping me with the root.
(a trustful guide and trustful files will do just great, i am computer experienced enough to make it through it's just some fears i need to "extinguish" )

I found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUGYK0tarBE
Although the title says Android 5.0 Lollipop but we can clearly see throughout the video that the guy is running android 4.4.2. Anyway, I've never heard of/tried kingroot so I can't be sure if its legit or not but you can give it a try.
And as for your questions:
1. Root is NOT a necessity. You can use google search to know about it and decide yourself.
2. Again you can find this by a google search.
3. There is always a risk when you mod your phone. Incase you somehow manage to brick it by that simple tutorial, I guess your device would have some stock firmware online which you can download and reflash by some kind of flashtool to restore to stock.
Cheers,
AJ
Hello,
this is my first post and I didn't really know where to create this topic. So if I'm wrong, please move it
I bought an Oukitel C5 and thought that there is a root for it but it was for the Pro version of it. I already looked here and other forums for a tutorial, but I couldn't find anything.
Now I'm looking for a tutorial to root that phone. I tried the MTK droid tools, but they are only for Android 4. Also I tried vroot, kingroot and another app, but they didn't work. I couldn't find other tutorials.
The Oukitel C5 comes with the MTK6580 chip and Android 7.0.
Is there any tutorial how I could root that phone? I don't mind if I sit there for an hour to do it

There doesn't appear to be any yet, but ask in this thread and perhaps subscribe to it for updates

Well yes I figured that out
Is there any tutorial how I could create a root myself for the MTK chip with Android 7.0?
