Strategy / RTS games recommendations? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Well. i have tried several games already but most games went uninstalled at instant.
Here's what i want/expect:
A strategy / RTS like game - placed in "modern" War, Medieval or Fantasy does not matter.
Landscape games only (it's stupid to hold your tabled sideways to play a game, my opinion.)
Free placeable houses/buildings (any games with pre-built bases or restrictions (Like Empire War Z or Forge of Empires) are not wanted.
Nice 3D graphics (the prettier, the better - so no Clash of Clans "Comic" or 2D-Style graphics)
non-lootable resources when offline/afk. - So when i check in the game only once a day i should still be able to do something. (Dawn of Iron had good graphics, but due to this absence attacks it was impossible to move on)
not extremely pay-to-win.
Well as most games nowadays with RTS (real time strategy), i'm of course referring to the Clash of Clans-Like "build your base" and "drop your units" style

Some new games coming to Android

gizmodo just posted an article about OpenFeint bringing more games to the market. You can grab MiniSquadron for one dollar right now on the Market. It's a pretty addicting game. I hope this opens the door to more quality games being sold on the Market. Below is the article in quotes.
Aurora Feint's mobile social gaming network for Android launches today with top iOS games like Fruit Ninja, MiniSuadron, Super Slyder, The Moron Test, and Tic Tac Toe. Announced earlier this summer, OpenFeint aims to be a cross-platform gaming ecosystem.
OpenFeint features cross-platform leaderboards, achievements, and friending, allowing Android and iOS users to compete in the same games. In addition to OpenFeint, Aurora Feint is also introducing their Feint Spotlight app for Android. This will help users discover the best new games, win prizes in giveaways, and connect with the community.
The other games OpenFeint is bringing on to their network this month include:
• Face Fighter Gold
• Touch Racing Nitro
• Symbolism
• Cestos 2: Party Time
• Super KO Boxing 2
• Mega Jump
• Bomberman Dojo
• Must.Eat.Birds
• Solipskier
• Flick Kick Field Goal
• Flick Kick Football
• Flick Kick Rugby
• Kamikaze Race
• Dot
• Dot Dot
The Android versions of these games function almost exactly like their iOS counterparts, just with a slightly different user interface to make use of Android's additional buttons. And since the OpenFeint SDK is used by developers and embedded into games, new Apple Game Center users needn't worry—they can easily take advantage of both. [OpenFeint]

Dungeon Defenders
PocketGod
NinJump
Robo Defense
Gun Bros
Tank Hero
Jet car stunts
All tested and working great on CM7 (phiremod V4) for me!
Slice It! and Humans vs Aliens (PvZ copy) are great for the NC. HvA looks a little blurry from being stretched but great nontheless.
Evac hd, totem hd, raidant hd, super dynamite fishing, and of course mortal kombat on the sega emu
Nookie Froyo 0.6.8 (zoom2)/Tapatalk Pro
Also, buka hd, mx moto, ghosts n zombies, the quake series.. those are the games i forgot to post
Nookie Froyo 0.6.8 (zoom2)/Tapatalk Pro
Overkill, Dead Runner, and Homerun Battle runs fine on my Nook. Im using 1.1.0
PewPew (The malware free original), The Last Defender HD, Cordy, 3D Bio Ball HD
I still can't get Stupid Zombies to show up in the Market and every .apk I have downloaded has not worked. How are you getting it to run on your Nook? Can you PM me the .apk?
Are all these games in the market place??
Here's what I've been playing.
Meteor Blitz: 3d Top-down shooter; left-thumbmoves, right-thumb shoots. At the moment my fav game to play.
PewPew: 2d Another top-down shooter. Remind me of geometry wars for the 360.
Crystal Defence: 2d A final fantasy theamed tower defence game. Very fun, very hard.
Demon Hunter: 2d Side Scrolling action RPG. Kind of messy controls, but fun.
Dungen Hunter: 3d action dungeon grinder. Really fun, but the load times are hell.
Zeonia 2: 2d Top-down action rpg. great rpg, I'm currently 8+ hours into it.
Tower Raider: 3d tower defence. good game, but gameplay is VERY slow and I can see it being frustrating for some.
Good luck, And remember: Buy your games.
Word Feud is great, but sometimes it takes forever for the other player to play their turn. I think Droidwords allows you to play against a computer though.
You all should try "Cordy". It's a beautiful jump'n run game with great graphics
AirAttack HD Lite is also very nice to look at and fun to play
Hi, I'm new here, signed up yesterday. I just got a Nook Colour and Modded it.
I have some .apk files, a video player and some games.
I'm just not exactly sure where the files should go exactly...
Angry Birds, super dynamite fishing, live holdem, live blackjack, words with friends, word feud. But, finding that I'd rather read lately...
@Kinetic: The easiest thing that I've found to do is load the apks on your SD card and download a file manager (I like Linda, you can find it in the market) and then open the apks with that.
been playing mario 64 on n64oid on my nookie froyo 1ghz and it runs perfectly!!
Been playing pocket legends on both my Evo when out and about and on my NC when I'm at home.
Decent mmo game with cross platform to apple. Account info is on your login so going from one device to another is fine.
Sent from my Evo
Also try the GBA emulator and games i they look great and runn smooth only minor issue is it only works in portrait mode i tried adjusting the setting but it just goes black when in landscape mode but other than that i love playing pokemon on it and advance wars

The apk files are installable from within a file manager from the market like Astro or ES file manager. If you download applications from the market they should install automatically for you.
Read the faqs for more details. Remember search is your friend!
Both Castelvanias work well on n64oid.

Recommended casual games (arcade style, word, puzzle, board) for NC?

I have Angry Birds (original, seasons, rio), Solitaire multi pack, Frozen Bubble, and Stupid Zombies. Had Doodle Jump but had issues with the tilt functionality (was causing problems with my touchscreen after playing i.e. nothing was working).
Are there any other "casual" games like these that you'd recommend? I am also interested in SNES-like 2-d scrolling adventure/rpgs (have tried Zenonia 2) like Super Mario --- not interested in emulator/ROMS.
I am also looking for a good crossword puzzle app like the B&N one (or any other word-based games). I tried Bonsai Blast and it looked fun but never went fullscreen for me.
Sorry, double post. Hit by accident when I came back to the pc.
3d magic words has been the best word game i've played so far.
I'd like to know of more good ones because my significant other likes them too, and we play them together.
Word Drop (dropwords?) was another decent one.
Both available in the google market.
I'd love to see a list of Nook compatible word/board games floating around here.
Air Control sand Pool Break are two of my faves. Quick and easy to pick up. Typical games last 15 minutes or less (my definition of a "casual game"). Warning: Air Control is deceptively addictive.
Shortyz is a great crossword game. My girlfriend loves it.
I hope these can be defined as casual games, and have them on my NC:
Angry Birds/Angry Birds Seasons/Angry Birds Rio
Doodle Fit--nice puzzle, similar to tangrams in idea (disable twitch so your eyes won't twitch along)
Grow--from a tadpole within a jar to larger environments. Payable game
Meganoid--probably Super Mario like
Paper Toss--toss paper balls into waste basket, with fan blowing
Hi.
I like 250+ solitaire alot. It has a very good version of Freecell.
Freecell is fun because if you are good you can win 2/3 of the time.
By contrast Spider solitaire has a win rate of 1 or 2%.
By the way, what are some recommended poker or backgammon
programs?
I have yet to see any 7 card stud or Omaha poker games in the market,
for example.
Thx, Dave
radiant hd (cool space invaders clone)
evac hd (cool pacman type game)
totemo hd (like bubble pop)
aces bubblepopper
also i cant get enough of the game Deathworm.
they need to be fed

Agreed, good game.
I've had good luck with Touchdown to give better Exchange Syncing (tasks, etc), however I had to actually download the app from their website.

WiFi/LAN/NotInternet Multi-player Kid-Friendly Games

I have young kids who play Minecraft on their Kindles/iPods all the time. I enjoy playing with them sometimes too I have been looking for games with similar multi-player experience, but without full internet online playing. I don't want my kids playing/chatting with anyone I don't know.
I found this list which is a great start, but looking for more
https://sites.google.com/site/lanandroidgaming/
So.... any recommendations?
do search for android offline multi-device multiplayer games
