Okay so about a couple of weeks ago I unlocked the bootloader for my honor 7 without fail as it said it was done and worked! After unlocking the bootloader and telling me it was successful the phone restarted and turned back on as normal! The wierd thing was it didn't wipe my phone which usually as far as I knew unlocking the bootloader wipes the data! So I decided to think it was nothing and was fine so after a couple of days of me using it I decided because IV unlocked the phone to flash a ROM and when I tried to boot into bootloader to flash twrp it wouldnt boot into it! When I hold down the buttons it dosnt work and when I try adb debugging on the PC and type in on cmd, "fastboot reboot bootloader", it still dosnt do it! It just restarts and turns back on as normal like it can't get into the bootloader! Please help?!

The command is "adb reboot bootloader" when you are in the ROM. Holding that 2 buttons during reboot works only if your phone is connected to PC.
Yes sorry I meant that and I have done everything no way in getting into the bootloader it just boots up normally...

I am having the same issue from the OP. However, when I get to step 3-5 where I use "adb reboot bootloader", it doesn't bring me to the bootloader (blue screen). At first when I tried to time it right, I got "device not found". However, as I tried more often, the command seems to go through as it returns blank, but the only thing that happens is the phone reboots and displays the "factory reset...formatting data...formatting cache...do not remove batttery...rebooting" again.
I've tried about 20 times now and, instead of bringing me to the bootloader screen, it keeps rebooting everytime I use "adb reboot bootloader. I would appreciate any help I can get.
I started a new thread because I cannot reply to the original thread as I do not have 10+ posts yet
I was thinking maybe I can't boot into bootloader since it cant even boot into recovery? Is that possible?
I'm in the exact same boat as the OP.

well guys you are not alone :crying: i was try to fix my wife phone today and i have the same loop issue like OP. the hard part is the windows won't reconize the phone anymore just for a instance of sec when phone start the format processes t clear format and install and boot at the same screen over and over so way i can get to fastboot or even recovery mode
I was on my phone when suddenly it just booted off for no reason, weird right? So now it just stays on the "LG" boot up screen and now do anything. I've tried everything and done everything right (as far as I know) before I get into that let me tell you what my device can do as of now:
Devices DOES have fastboot oem unlock done
Phone was rooted as well and working perfectly (or so I thought until this happened)
ADB doesn't seem to work, but fastboot when connected to the computer does.
Ex: ADB devices (blank)
but fastboot devices (shows phone connected)
I've tried rebooting into recovery (Power + down) doesn't do anything, however, {Power + down} then finger off power then {Power + down} again takes me to "factory reset" option, if done so the phone just hangs and removing battery on way to take it back to fastboot on pc, or bootloop again.
I've done the following steps using [LG-H901] Stock .img Files (Boot, System, and Recovery)
Code:
fastboot flash system system.img
then
fastboot flash boot boot.img
and finally
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
I've tried booting the phone and still gets me stuck on bootloop, and doing the same {Power + down} gets to the same "factory reset" option only then freezes my phone if I agree to do so.
Is there something I've done wrong or incorrect? I will provide as much info as requested.
Thanks guys!
Update: Phone booted up to lockscreen after finishing "Android is starting..." procedures, then kept bootlooping and it is now doing "Android is starting.." procedures again. I'll keep it updated if it keeps doing so or anything of the sort.
Did you reply YES when trying to enter recovery? It will ask 2 times and bith times answer YES ... And if you DO have TWRP installed it will boot into twrp recovery.

This is the weirdest thing, phone worked for a bit then shuts off and does the same thing. all files and everyhing was in tact. ANy main reason behind this? I am desperate not to delete everything because i have important photos on there that were still there when it re-started again right now.
So to recap: At the moment doing the {factory reset} got me as far as using phone for like 2 minutes before ****ting out and sending me on a bootloop yet again.
Important Questions:
On all my other devices I am able to connect via usb and read devices, but on this phone I get the message when connecting to my computer "LGE Android MTP Device: Failed" whats this about?
Is there any way to save internal photo album images other than getting this to boot up and pray it stays on long enough to transfer data?
UPDATE 2: Phone has booted up and not froze (yet)? Testing to see if it will keep working so far so good. Unfortunately all my **** was deleted which bummed me out, would have honestly prefered to lose a $600 phone than all the family, friend, ext photos I had on my phone I made the huge mistake of saving to internal memory and never backing up. Smh.
Update 3: Phone is back at it again with the bootloop. I have no idea what is wrong, I've repeated the steps twice and phone doesn't seem to let up. It's fine until I hit that restart or shutdown button then it goes into bootloop heaven. I'm guessing this phone is done for? On an unrelated note it did fall on me, but worked fine afterwards, it was just sudden when it started doing this. Unless anyone has more suggestions I'd be glad to hear them. As of right now, this phone is toast.
You tube how to bake phones in the oven.
It could fix some potentially loose solders..or since everything was already wiped you should get a warranty replacement.. Should still be under factory warranty.

I am thinking the warranty route. Is there anything specific I should do before doing so? I hear having "fastboot oem unlock" {Bootloader Unlocked} voids the warranty. Is this true that you might know of? Either way thanks I appreciate the information.
Sorry so late..
But you can try to fastboot oem lock it.
So.. a long story.First off, my mother wanted me to change the rom of their Phone a few months ago.I did it.Once again, she asked me to change her rom.a month ago. I wasn't that successful, and ended up resseting it with sp flash tool. And she was back to the factory rom.She asked me once again, she was annoyed because she was with the factory rom, and asked me to change it. But, i cant get to the recovery. After pressing Power + Vol. Up + Vol. Down it stays on the BootLoader. With that being said, i tried flashing TWRP and booting back to recovery via a tool.It didn't boot to the recovery.I did some research on this, and found a diagnosis. My bootloader is locked. Again, did some research on unlocking it, tried with fastboot.I reboot my phone to bootloader with "adb reboot bootloader" firstly then i wrote fastboot oem unlock. On a new line there were three dots. I waited for over an hour nothing was happening. And my phone was only saying "Fastboot Mode."I have the drivers. So is my bootloader locked or what? I just want to change the ROM of the Phone. Can i without Recovery? Thanks! Need help ASAP
Hi!
I have a OnePlus X and the year after I bought it, I flashed TWRP and installed Lineage OS. Since then, I've flashed many custom roms on my phone. A few weeks back, I decided to flash Resurrection Remix. The battery life on my phone with resurrection was pathetic so I assumed it could be fixed by flashing a custom kernel (franco kernel). I downloaded franco kernel, copied it to my SD card and powered off my phone.
Instead of pressing the VOLUME DOWN and POWER button simultaneously to enter TWRP, I pressed the VOLUME UP and POWER button by accident and went into Fastboot mode. When in Fastboot mode, I pressed the VOLUME DOWN and POWER button thinking my phone would boot into recovery, but it got stuck in a bootloop.
Now my phone can boot only into fastboot mode by pressing the volume up+power button. Any other combination of buttons and it goes into a bootloop.
All this is completely my fault and I would do anything to try and fix it.
Is my phone soft bricked or hard bricked? ( I have a feeling that it is soft bricked).
I've downloaded the android SDK and Minimal adb and fastboot on my pc. I'm able to run fastboot commands, but when I type 'fastboot oem unlock', I get an error saying
"FAILED (remote: oem unlock is disabled)". I've tried 'fastboot flashing unlock' too, but the screen just says "...". Hence, I'm not able to flash TWRP. I tried flashing even the stock recovery but it wouldn't work.
Is there any other way to unlock the bootloader?
I haven't tried the Mega unbrick guide for a hard bricked OnePlus X yet, since I'm able to boot into fastboot mode. Should I give it a shot?
And lastly, can I recover my phone from this mess or is it permanently bricked?
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you!
Sounds very similar to my situation. I did end up following that guide to get mine going again. The link is broken to get the recovery tool, the 2nd one below is the "minimal" version which isn't supposed to wipe data. That is the one that worked for me. I would backup any data if you can first, no guarantee it wont wipe it. Mine wouldn't boot into the stock rom after, but at least it would get to the stock bootloader (VolDOWN + PWR). From there I was able to adb sideload the stock rom (Install from USB). This completely restored it to stock.

Surely your bootloader is already unlocked isn't it?
You don't actually say what happens when you try to reboot into recovery using fastboot commands. Does that fail too? What happens when you try to flash twrp again? You don't actually say.
That's what I thought too. It would just say 'recovery.img' not found or something like that. But, I followed the Mega unbrick guide and was able to install the stock ROM through the stock recovery. My OPX is alive again!
i'm stuck here. the phone does not go into recovery at all .. stuck on oneplus logo .. I don't know what to do .. any ideas?

I managed to get it alive again with this guide
I'm currently having issue with my phone, Redmi Note 3 Pro Kenzo(snapdragon 650) charged my phone overnight after completely drained it and the next morning i realized that it's on boot loop.
I tried dozens of method since the past 72 hours, none of them works. My phone run on stock miui 8 rom, didn't turn on the dev mode/debugging so basically just a pure stock out of the box phone with 0 tweaks.
It loops without the android logo below it. Just the MI logo in the middle of the screen and it reboot every 10-15 seconds or so.
I am able to run on fastboot mode (volume down+power on button) then i hook it up to my computer, used a patch to boot it on EDL mode and flash the stock fastboot rom using MiFlash and it states that i have successfully flash the rom on the phone. But when i turn it on, it loops on the MI logo again..
Tried dozens of method, flashed the emmc file and etc but none of them works.
Even mod on xiaomi forum gave up on me and ended up saying that i've roasted my logic board lol
But I read a thread on someone who had the same problem with mine but he have unlock his bootloader and get his phone back to life by flashing the twrp recovery.
When i try to hook up my phone with command prompt, running on fastboot mode it detects my phone when use the "fastboot devices" but when i use the "adb" command it stated that my computer didn't detect my device.
any thoughts?
rlly need some help here guys :/
