Hi,
I'm unable to make call because of not registred on network problem (my phone is G925I)
When checking *#06#, it gives me my correct imei code
But when testing *#0011#, i got IMEI Status: NG
What does NG mean and if it is a problem, how to repair it
Did you flash any firmware? Doesn't usually happen randomly. If it has should send to Samsung.

I recently updated my firmware to 6.0.1 and found out the GSM option is not available and cannot be registered on any available network. I didnt make a backup of the working firmware. I downgraded to 5.1.1. and now see the GSM option but still cannot connect to the gsm network. I checked the IMEI number it is fine but when I type #*0011#, I see IMEI STATUS:NG. I am not sure what NG stands for. Could you help me please as I am sitting with a phone that cannot make calls and receive sms.
Thank you in advance.
I'm into the same situation i upgraded to 6.0.1 no i ain't got network...

The problem appeared when updating from 5.0.2 to 6.0.1 via odin. I dont know how to downgrade and test again bc every time I try with odin gives me a fail, maybe its a block for downgrading

What region (
IMEI ng
I had the same problem, If you have you EFS partition backup. then you are lucky. just restore EFS partition from recovery (TWRP in my case). :good:
If dont have backup:crying:. but have your original IMEI no, try editing IMEI (search google how to)

The only thing i can suggest is download samsung phone info app from play store. Go to CSC, check what the origional CSC was. Find and download and flash back to the original CSC. Theres not much you can do with lost or corrupted efs. The same happened to me when i flashed my nandroid backup. I had not backed up efs but after flashing origional stock my imei was repaired. Good luck keep me updated
Or one other thing...flash a branded firmware of the network you use with PIT. The PIT might fix the efs partition.

i tried all sorts of modem from the modem collection page here on xda
those modems used to work when i had a different rom but still, is there a way maybe to extract the modem from the ZIP file of miui rom ?
i tried searching modem.bin inside the miui zip file but theres none.
if theres no modem.bin file in it then does that means it uses the existing modem ?
if so then il need to revert back to the rom i had before miui ? or just revert to stock rom ?
ive flashed stock rom and still nothing
also, on mobile networks menu i cannot see any networks to choose from

Dont stick to NSPRO you can use my patch everytime when your network gone
i would gladly try your patch only i already used NSPRO to fix it

I updated my S3 to I9300UBEMH2 which is the official rom for my country. I came from XXEMG4 (I didn't have signal with this firmware). I thought upgrading would fix the Cannot register to Network problem but it didn't. It's strange as this firmware is the stock for my country. My IMEI and SN are OK. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Usual is
Wrong APN settings .
or
Wrong Modem Wrong CSC.

APN and Modem are correct. I really don't understand what is the problem damn phone.
Sometime your device will give a generic IMEI, it can't be used
Compare the IMEI in the status and IMEI in the back of your phone after removing the battery.
You can try Archie's emergency zip. It will change your modem to MG4 without changing the RIL, remember to backup first

My IMEI is correct. That's why I don't understand whats the problem. Thanks
as you can see MG4 and MH2 have different modems, so when you pass from MG4 to MH2 the modem was changed and something went wrong.
Have you checked the SIM card in another phone?
Maybe there is something wrong with it.
And BTW, do you have an EFS backup?

Yes, currently Im using an iPhone with no problem. I've tried others SIM in my phone and nothing. I only backed up when I was on XXEMG4, but not before that.
Thanks

Via OTA, MH2 via odin
regardless if the firmware came ota or he flashed it himself with odin. op states imei is correct and apn is also correct. that probably means the serial number is wrong. marracing, have a look under the battery and see if serial number matches the one in your phone settings. if not than that is why you cant connect to network.

The serial number matches with the one under the battery. This is very strange. I don't know what else to do.
have you tried to reset the apn to default? if you did that already than you need to speak with your carrier, maybe you are not registered on their network because of an issue on their end. if still cannot resolve than take the phone to a service center. good luck
When I first bought the phone (bought it in the US) it came with some German apps (one called Bild is the only one I remember). It has something to do with this issue?
Thanks!
Still can't register to network. Maybe it's blacklisted?

The best way to resolve this either flashing the correct stock rom for your model no. From samobile or Samsung updates. Use the latest odin which is available and follow the steps correctly.
first, check if ur IMEI are clean or blacklisted, why?, if u have a manipulated IMEI in ur phone (patrched IMEI with BOX) u lose the patched and back to original IMEI before update or factory reset ur phone.

I flashed it G925IDVU3EPC8_G925IODD3EPC2_INU from sammobile and routed it using CF-Auto-Root-zerolte-zeroltedv-smg925i
Now I'm not able to make call, i'm getting alway Not registered on network

I had the same problem, i went to SIM icon, Intl roaming, Manual and foreign, then repeat the same and you have signal again, the only problem is that you will have to do that everytime it resets. Maybe we can flash modem from our countries.
When I updated the official 5.1.1,I have got the same problem either. At that time I tried this kernel then it worked.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/samsung-galaxy-s-6--s-6-edge-unified-development/kernel-stockmod-kernel-t3100395
This time I updated offical 6.0.1,It was lost again.
I have tried anyway like downgrade to 5.1.1,the third part kernel and so on.It still could not detect the sim card.
Now my phone has correct IMEI and baseband,I could call 999 by it too.
I have also tried smartswitch. When I input "SM-G925F" to model and my SN,it tell me no this product.
Could any one help me?
What should I try to post here for more help?

You can not downgrade back to 5.1.1 from marshmallow. Also G925f is not the serial number. The SN is on the back cover of the phone or use Samsung phone info from plays tore it shows you SN there. Alternatively just flash stock firmware through odin.

If you flash to different country's CSC which is not your country's CSC, VoLTE won't work.
Example: You flash to BTU (UK) firmware, but you're in Germany and using a Germany network operator, your VoLTE won't work.
