Hello
Looking for some help from independent group of people.
Currently have a oneplus 2 which had since was released an love it. But I'm really tempted by the Huawei P9
Anyone have a P9 for a comparison.

Thanx

I'm thinking of buying the honor 5x... It is of 280$ in my country.... Should i go for it, or is there any other phone in this price range i should consider....
One of my main concerns would be if this phone will get custom roms..... I will most likely get the L21 ver.....

I don't know what country you're in and if the prices for other devices are inflated too. I would not pay $280USD for this device however, that's more than the retail price.
I think this phone will get custom roms, but whether it will get official CyanogenMod support is a different story.
Any OnePlus device will perform better and have better camera than the Honor 5X. I had the OnePlus X before this, which is generally better, but I bought the Honor 5X just to try something different, and it have better battery life, bigger screen, and the finger print reader.. I also had the OnePlus One which had a very nice camera and good battery life.
Other phone to consider is the Alcatel Idol 3, which is about the same specs as the Honor 5X but smaller screen. There is the new Idol 4 as well.
Also the Nexus 6 is a good consideration.

Thnx for the reply..... Not only prices are inflated in my country, many phones are not available at all.. One plus x and the idol 3 aren't available in my country, i can get a used one plus one for 250$.... But i really don't wanna go for a used option....
Also i know that the l24 model will get custom roms... I was talking specifically for the L21 model..
Will this model get roms apart from cm?? Like aokp etc??

You are talking about cheaper phones.

Um what are you talking about?

That's not even related to the section
What is this thread about ?!!
Title is saying Honor 8 , content is saying y511 ,y6 and 5X...
It's not Even related to Q&A section
Strangest part, title says not durable but the whole post mentions nothing about durability.
Is this just to get points?

its not about points and i didnt seriously care about that the basic of the thread is i am user of huawei mobiles the question was about durability of huawei phones they have best specs available to the market the only reason not to vote for huawei mobile is about what you are thinking of getting and what you basically get yeah huawei is nice on specification board but when you get hands on to the cellphones you regret for paying so much for such a phone
unreadable
Please, delete the thread

Well this is not my opinion on the honor 8, it's a stunningly beautiful phone and the build quality is amazing in my opinion, it's light and feels great.
I have dropped the phone a few times thinking I would have broke the glass back but it has not, it's been fine so I would consider that a win for me.
Did the glass back scratched or not?!
Please delete thread. Nothing to do with section.
I think 2 or 3 years ago, HUAWEI's phone was not very good, but since 2014 and going forward, HUAWEI is getting better and better phones released.
EMUI indeed has so many flaws... reminds me of Samsung with the infamous TouchWiz...
I have the Mate 2, Nexus 6p and Honor 8. There is nothing wrong with the durability of Huawei phones.

how to thank you bro it will definitely do it i am new to this site
Hey guys.
I have been a user of an LG G2 for the past three years and I must say it has served me amazingly well. It still functions awesomely but the wear and tear of the years is starting to become more apparent lately, so I'm thinking it's time for a new one.
Since I am not able to buy a flagship phone right now, I have to resort to a budget choice.
So what would be the best phone under 300€? I am based in Europe btw.
Currently I am in between the ZTE Axon 7 Mini, LG G5 SE, P8 Lite 2017, Honor 8 and Honor 6X, but any other suggestions will of course be appreciated.
Since the G2 is such an old phone, I can imagine that any one of these phones will feel like an upgrade in terms of performance, so what I value most right now is 1) the camera and 2) general build quality.
So basically, which is the overall best of the budget phones that has the best camera out of the bunch?
I'm leaning towards the Honor 6X because of its camera. What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance!

Well it's finally out and looks awesome but Is it worth the upgrade? Since it's an Android one phone, Will there be support for custom roms/large community base? Is it worth $234?
What's your opinion? Even though Ive had my note 4 for a month almost I'm intrigued to buy the mi a1

I don't think so. Because of different camera modules on A1.

Custom ROMs might not support the dual camera I guess. For example, that's how Lineage now works on dual camera of Huawei P9. Camera app just uses one camera of the two and that's it.
Good question actually. What the future of custom ROMs for dual camera devices?
Wondering if Google will add ability to swap navigation buttons. Having Back button on the right is a bit lame design.
I prefer back button on the right tbh. Although it's always good to have an option to change it.
I have used Chinese phones that long now it's in a normal place to me on the right.
Checked the device in MI exclusive showroom. Looks great but like a clone of OP5 from the back. I prefer the looks of my RN4. The portrait mode in camera was great even in indoor conditions (well lit) and the OS was snappy. But I don't think it will dethrone RN4 from the best selling mid-ranger category.
Hi.
I've been using a p9 plus for almost a year but I fancy a change. The thing is I've been burnt by Hauwei once before as they did not offer nougat for the p9 plus and a lot of people were very upset about this.
I've looked at the pocophone but I fancy something even bigger than 6.18 inch and the 8x at 6.5 looks great.
Is this phone with picking up still? Do you think is noticed the drop from premium to mid range? The p9 plus is still a lovely phone and I do love the Amoled screen.
Cheers.
Dont bother.. no root no developer, but good phone though.

You can root it if you can unlock bootloader. Unlocking is provided in cervoce centers in India. Don't know about rest of the world...
