Hey Team
I am facing a peculiar issue with my Moto e 1st gen (dual sim) off late. Recently all of a sudden my phone stopped reading the Sim, I found out that the IMEI and baseband were showing "unknown" so I did some reading online and tried to flash it to stock ROM which surprisingly worked and both my WiFi and IMEI were restored. However since then the phone fails to receive network signal , it keeps on going to 0 bars. Tried to replace the SIM and flashed it multiple timed with the stock ROM but still no go. Finally decided to unlock the bootlooder install TWRP and done a clean install of CM13 NIGHTLY, surprisingly the network signal reception improved for about 30 minutes after reboot but soon after again went blank. Post this tried to flash CM13 multiple times but no luck it just stays for a while after initial reboot but vanishes thereafter. Also tried to set the aggressive handover from WiFi ... Option under developer option but still no avail.
Really appreciate any help on this issue !!!

Hi,
I bought a Lenovo A390 in January, a few weeks ago the phone started to lose signal on both sim cards, continued that way for a few minutes and returned to normal. After a few hours he lost the signal on both sim cards and didn't returned to normal, even after several hours. When I restarted the phone, it showed no sim card and the sound started to fail a little. Somehow, the cell returned to normal after several reboots.
I tried the factory reset, flashing a new rom, I even open the phone to see if any cable was loose, but the problem continues. I don't know what else to do, searching the internet I saw that several people had similar problems, but the solutions didn't work for me.
I took some screenshots to show the device when it loses signal and after rebooting.
Lenovo A390
Android 4.0.4
Baseband Version A510_MP_PCB_V1.0
Build Number A390_S320_130402
Please! Someone help me! :crying:
Same Problem
I am also facing a similar problem and in addition to that if I reboot with SIMs removed still it shows the old SIMs which were there before the problem happened.
Sometimes this workaround works and if the SIMs are not detected when removed, Next reboot with the SIMs and you can get the network (not all the time). ..
no imei no baseband

i have similar problem,, lenovo a390... no baseband affected invalid imei,, n cant write properly...
I have a Motorola Moto E first generation Indian Retail unit.
While on Android Kitkat I upgraded Unoffically to Lollipop.
When Lollipop got released finally I removed that unofficial lollipop by unlocking bootloader and got back to Kitkat and then I downloaded and installed official Lollipop.
Two days ago I got an update from Motorola with 10MB size.I installed it. After a day of usage my phone suddenly stopped detecting both of the SIM cards. I replaced with other SIM cards and did everything but nothing helped me.
What to do?
I think I've had this problem today, going from CM11 to lost101's XT1021 USA Untouched zip.
Lost WWAN, 90% of the time it said no SIM inserted, the other 10% 0 bars and attempting a call just says to turn off airplane mode?
Fixed by reflashing the baseband from the Kitkat fastboot roms!
After updating the last update on 20th April,2016 I am not able to use my moto e as it is partially bricked.
After updating the sim seems to be working partially ie. In the notification bar it shows no tower of any sim and in the setting it shows that idea/Airtel, etc (all sim name showing which sim u have entered) but no towers ,no internet
It had become just a MOTO E tablet:crying: with no sim working
Else everything working fine
For your kind information I had flashed the firmware too, but when I flashed gpt partition it gives me error at that command
Please help me ,,,,

Hi Everyone,
I recently rooted and installed CM13 (20160606) nightly on my i9300. At first everything worked flawlessly, but last Thursday (16th June) I lost signal and have not been able to get it back since. In case the circumstances for when it happened could have an influence, then here is a bit more details from around the time I lost signal.
I was having signal and the mobile data was working fine, as I was running low on battery the phone was on battery saver, when the battery hit 2% it had signal and I didn't look at my phone after this. As I came home, I immediately plugged in my charger and at the same moment my phone shutdown due to no more juice on the battery. When I started up the phone again, it had no signal.
I've tried to clean flash the same nightly again, clean flash newest nightly (20160618). I've also tried to flash other modems without any luck. APN settings have been double and triple checked, deleted, setup and triple checked again. I've tried to downgrade my TWRP to 2.8.6.1 from (3.0.2-1) and flashed the nightly - No luck.
Here are my system details:
CM version: 13.0-20160618-NIGHTLY-i9300
Baseband version: I9300XXEMG4
IMEI: 35299...........
IMEI SV: 01
Sim Network: Unknown
Signal strength: 0
Cellular network type: UMTS
Service state: Data: Out of service
Cellular network state: Disconnected
I think this could be related to the incidence when I lost signal, after battery power out, as this was working fine up to then for 10 days.
Let me know if I need to provide any more information or if you have any ideas what I can try to restore my signal.
When I go to search for Network Operators it finds two, when I try to register to the one which is not mine it says my Sim card doesn't allow this. When I try to register to my actual carrier it takes a long time and it comes out saying "Can't connect to this network right now". My signal strength in the about section is "0". I'm not sure where the problem is, if I have 0 signal, how can I find two carriers?
I got back to Android 4.3 by sammobile ROM, after flashing patched XXUGMK6 kernel and modem, I now have a signal. But, I'm still unable to connect to my carrier. My IMEI and S/N match those under the battery. After searching my carrier shows up in the mobile network list, but it fails to register to the network, and goes to have No Service and says the selected network is unavailable.
Solved. I went through basically everything I could dig on the internet, not sure exactly what did the trick.

can i ask what did you do? :< im on cm13 also, did you flash new update of cm13? or clean install again?
Hi everyone. I have recently flashed my Moto E with firmware 5.1 lollipop after it stopped detecting sim cards and wi-fi stopped working. After flashing it worked well for a while but again the problem started. This time wi-fi is working well but, phone is not detecting the network. It shows "Error while searching for the network". While making the call it shows that phone is in a airplane mode.
I have tried flashing cynogenmod and zeyphr as well..but the problem still exists.
Check your baseband in 'about phone' ..if it is showing unknown, than u need to flash radio files
